Content: The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo performance on Monday has been cancelled due to the weather warnings.
In a statement, Edinburgh Tattoo said "we understand this will be disappointing, but the safety of our audience, performers and staff is our top priority".
They say that all tickets for the performance this evening will be automatically cancelled and refunded, adding: "We currently expect to go ahead as usual on Tuesday 5 August, but we will continue to monitor the weather and provide any further updates on our website and social channels."

The peak winds are likely to be across the Western
Isles, Skye, Ross and Cromarty between 10:00 BST and 13:00.
Winds gusts in these areas could widely hit 70-80mph, perhaps even
touching 90-100mph for a time.
Between 12:00 and 15:00 the strongest winds
will have transferred to the north-east of the country, with areas of Caithness
and those bordering the Beauly and Moray Firths most likely to see winds get
close to, or exceed 80mph or 90mph.

The strongest winds will be across the Western
Isles and the north of mainland Scotland, but disruptive and possibly damaging
gusts of 50-70mph could be experienced across a large part of Scotland, from
the Central Belt northwards.
All these areas are covered by a Met Office amber
warning for wind.
However, wind gusts could still have
impacts across the far south of Scotland, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man,
northern England and north-west Wales - 40-50mph gusts can be expected widely, but possibly as high as 70mph on some
coasts, bridges and hills.
For the rest of England and Wales, while
generally blustery conditions and a spell of rain can be expected, the storm is
not expected to have significant impacts.

Good morning from the newsroom in London.
Parts of the UK are bracing for Storm Floris, with an amber weather warning for large parts of Scotland due to come into effect at 10:00 BST.
A yellow weather warning is already in place across northern England, north Wales, Northern Ireland and other parts of Scotland, and will remain until midnight on Monday.
High winds could pose a "danger to life" and travel disruption is expected - some train and ferry services have already been cancelled.
Many inland areas are likely to see gusts of 40 to 50mph with 60 to 70mph possible along exposed coasts and high ground.

Services are likely to be affected as the storm - which brought winds of up to 124mph on Monday, bringing down trees and power lines, closing roads and cancelling flights - blows through. Storm Floris as it happened The Scottish government held an emergency meeting last night to discuss the "significant disruption" caused and the efforts under way to recover, as rail operators look to clear routes covered by debris and utilities firms work to reconnect properties experiencing power outages. Ross Moran, Network Rail Scotland's route director, said teams had been "working tirelessly to keep services moving where possible and to clear fallen trees and debris from the tracks". By the evening, their focus had switched to "inspecting routes which have been closed by fallen trees, debris and other damage", and work will continue into today. "We're grateful to passengers for their patience whilst we do this," Mr Moran added. Most weather warnings have expired, but a yellow warning for wind is in place until 8am over the Shetland Islands and Orkney, and showers will remain throughout the rest of Scotland. Rail, road, and ferry travel was disrupted by the storm on Monday, as 100 Edinburgh Fringe events were cancelled, according to organisers. At one point, more than 30,000 people were without power. At least 68 flights were cancelled, aviation analytics firm Cirium said, with Aberdeen and Belfast City the worst-affected airports. Western coastal areas bore the brunt of the storm, but strong winds and heavy rain affected much of the rest of the country. Police received "multiple reports" of camper vans blown over on the A87 between Broadford and Portree on Skye, while in Aberdeenshire the A96 was closed in both directions near Old Rayne because of fallen trees. Fallen trees have also seen a number of other roads closed, including the A95 Rosarie road in both directions, while the A9 at Daviot was partially blocked by a fallen tree and the A1 Tyne Bridge was only open to cars and single-decker buses. 0:47 Those driving in poor weather have been urged to avoid the worst-hit areas and slow down when on the roads while allowing time for delays. Pupils across Scotland to receive exam results
Young people across Scotland are set to receive their exam results - though mail deliveries in some parts of the country will be delayed due to Storm Floris. Email and text results are unaffected but those waiting on certificates in the Outer Hebrides, Orkney, and Shetland have been told to expect delays. More than 147,000 candidates will receive their marks for Nationals, Highers, Advanced Highers and Skills for Work Awards, as well as National Progression Awards and National will be sent by first-class post, though many students will also receive a text or email. Digital results are due to be sent to those with an activated MySQA account from 08:00 onwards. As Storm Floris brought gusts of 80mph and widespread travel disruption, the SQA said Royal Mail had confirmed delays in the Outer Hebrides, Orkney, and Shetland. It said there could be delays in other areas at short notice and affected candidates should contact their school or college to find out their advice can be found on the SQA website. A Skills Development Scotland helpline will offer advice to anyone with questions about their results or the next steps in their education. 'Celebrate success' SQA senior operations manager Annette McKenna said: "I encourage anyone who has any queries or needs advice come results day to call the helplines where dedicated members of staff will be happy to help and guide you. "Remember, whether your achievements are what you expect, or not, there are many different routes available to shape your future success."Education Secretary Jenny Gilruth said: "Results day is an important opportunity to celebrate achievement and success which is clear through a wider range of pathways for learners than ever before."There are many options available for young people, no matter the results they achieve, and the helpline offers invaluable advice on a whole host of issues – from college and university places, to UCAS confirmation and clearing, apprenticeships, jobs and volunteering."
