Ex-Steelers RB Cordarrelle Patterson goes viral after claiming he's 'jobless'

Cordarrelle Patterson's Steelers tenure didn't end the way he had hoped — but that hasn't stopped the All-Pro kick returner from creating comedy out of the situation. After hilariously revealing on social media that he had been released on his day off, Patterson took to Instagram with an even funnier take — claiming he was "jobless" with a photo of him mopping floors. Despite an uneventful, injury-riddled 2024 season with Pittsburgh, Patterson's legacy as one of the greatest kick returners of all time is unmatched. Steelers fans will best remember Patterson for entertaining attempts to recruit big-name wide receivers to Pittsburgh — such as Davante Adams, DK Metcalf, and Mike Williams, the latter of whom actually wound up in the Steel City this season. One has to wonder how much Patterson has left in the tank at 34 years old, but considering his four First-Team All-Pro selections, three Second-Team All-Pro selections, four Pro Bowl nominations, and being named to the NFL 2010s All-Decade Team, it's safe to say he's deserving of First-Ballot Hall of Fame consideration. Notre Dame offensive coordinator Mike Denbrock breaks down the quarterback competition

Notre Dame football head coach Marcus Freeman met with the media yesterday, and on Friday it was offensive coordinator Mike Denbrocks's turn at the podium. In no surprise, he was asked about the quarterback competition between CJ Carr and Kenny Minchey, and proceeded to give us some insight on how he'll ultimately select who will be the starter against Miami. Denbrock wants to see 'how do they operate within the framework of the offensive scheme. Do they understand it? Do they know where their problems are? What can we do to help them? Making good decisions with the ball. Being a consistent guy, day in and day out, that the teammates can count on.' Denbrock wasn't too happy with the results yesterday, as he called it 'a little bumpy at times,' but didn't seem to be too worried do to the fact that neither of them have had a lot of live snaps under their belts. He wants them to experience some failure, as they can learn from their mistakes. He was happy to see both of them bouncing back after their errors, which shows that each of them aren't afraid to try and make plays. The race between Carr and Minchey looks like it will continue to go on for at least a few weeks until one separates from the other and a starter is named.
