Joe Burrow, Olivia Ponton spark new dating buzz with Formula 1 hangout
The pair, who were first linked last December, were both in Miami for the Formula 1 race this past weekend and were spotted leaving a black sprinter van while arriving at a Raising Cane's event earlier on Sunday, as seen in a video on social media.
Burrow, 28, and Ponton, 22, weren't photographed together, as the two-time Pro Bowl quarterback got out of the van first, and the Victoria's Secret model exited last.
Todd Graves, the CEO of Raising Cane's, and Chiefs heiress Gracie Hunt were also seen getting out of the van, among other people.
Burrow and Hunt attended F1 weekend with Raising Cane's last year.

Burrow, who is fairly private about his dating life, and Ponton were first linked last December when his Arlington, Ohio home was broken into as a part of a string of robberies targeting high profile athletes.
Ponton was inside Burrow's home at the time of the robbery — which took placed during 'Monday Night Football' when the Bengals beat the Cowboys, 27-20, in Texas on Dec. 9 — and she was the one who notified police.
No one was injured, but the home was ransacked, according to a report provided by the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.
Ponton reportedly identified herself as one of Burrow's employees.

At the time, Burrow addressed the break-in during a press conference and said his privacy was violated.
He did not name Ponton, who never addressed the situation publicly.
The break-in at Burrow's home came after the Missouri homes of Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce were targeted in separate break-ins last Oct. 6 (after midnight) and Oct. 7.

It's unclear if Burrow and Ponton are dating.
However, they're certainly spending time in the same circle.
Burrow and his ex-girlfriend Olivia Holzmacher, who dated before the Bengals selected him with the first pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, reportedly split sometime in 2024.

Pete Carroll and Geno Smith had very different responses regarding their return to Seattle
It may just be a preseason game for the Raiders on Thursday, but for a few Raiders coaches and players it means a bit more. Notably by Pete Carroll, Geno Smith, and Jamal Adams. Carroll coached in Seattle for 14 years and won a Super Bowl there. Geno Smith spent the past six years in Seattle under Carroll, seeing the best years of his career. Adams spent four years there, including a Pro Bowl season. So, yeah, heading back to the place all three spent the majority of their NFL careers is notable. For Carroll and Adams, a full NFL season has passed since they last represented the Seahawks. But for Geno it's the last time he set foot on an NFL field. So, it's very fresh in his mind. 'Man, looking forward to it," Geno said of heading to Seattle Thursday. "Looking forward to seeing my old teammates, old coaches, people in the building. It will be fun. Also going back with Pete, that's pretty cool. Another opportunity to compete with my guys, that's what it's all about.' 'It means everything. It means a lot to me. It was a place I called home for six years. I had a son there and I was able to really just turn my career around. Met some really cool people, got to know a lot of great people there. A lot of great teammates over the years. Just really special things, special thoughts when I think about it.' While Geno gushed about how special this game was for him, Carroll took a different approach. He just downplayed it like it was a regular preseason game. 'It's the only game we got and it happens to be in Seattle," said Carroll. "I love my time in Seattle and love the fans and the people that we met and dealt with, but it's a game for us and we're gonna play ball.' Seahawks head coach Mike McDonald said he hopes the Seattle fans greet the return of Pete Carroll and Geno the game starts. "We should be cheering Pete when he gets here," said McDonald. "We should be cheering Geno. How could you not? We should be cheering those guys. Now, when the ball is snapped, we're going to go try to win the game, and we're not going to be playing our starters, but we're going to go compete like heck. I think Pete would appreciate that. I hope Pete gets a great ovation. He deserves it." Interesting that McDonald added the Seahawks won't be playing the starters, because Carroll suggested today he will not be sitting the Raiders starters. Should Geno Smith come trotting out onto the field on the first snap, it will be interesting to hear how the Seattle fans greet him.

Charles Leclerc Apologizes For Fiery Ferrari Radio Rants In Hungarian GP
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Ferrari's Charles Leclerc failed to capitalize on a shocking pole position at the Hungarian Grand Prix. Through his career, the Hungaroring has not been Leclerc's best track - he tends to have issues with extracting pace, a rarity for the Monegasque. Against the long odds, he delivered an amazing lap in Q3 and looked certain to get a podium at the very least. Instead, Leclerc ended up losing performance due to an issue with the car's chassis, leaving him ripe for the picking on track. Charles Leclerc of Monaco and Ferrari speaks of frustration in the media pen during the F1 Grand Prix of Hungary at Hungaroring on August 3, 2025 in Budapest, Hungary. Photo byAfter an impressive first stint where he kept his lead, Leclerc was down massively on pace in the second half of the race. When he pitted for the first time, Ferrari had to adjust the car because the plank on the bottom of the car was too worn out. The team raised the air pressure of the tires, raising the ride height. This change ended up leading to a loss of pace. During the race, Leclerc was furious with the team over the radio. "I can feel what we discussed before the race... we need to discuss those things before doing them," he said on the radio. "We are going to lose this race with these things. We are losing so much time." After making his second pit stop, the problems only grew. "This is so incredibly frustrating," Leclerc added later on. "We've lost all competitiveness. You just have to listen to me, I would have found a different way of managing those issues. Now it's just undriveble. Undriveable. It's a miracle if we finish on the podium." The Formula 1 veteran apologized for his intense radio rants when speaking to the media after the race. "First of all, I need to take back the words I've said in the radio because I thought that it was coming from one thing, but then I got a lot more detail since I got out of the car," Leclerc said. "It was actually an issue coming from the chassis and nothing that we could have done differently. I started to feel the issue in Lap 40 or something like that, and then it got worse, laps after laps after laps, and towards the end we were two seconds off the pace. And the car was just undriveable." Considering how well he is driving this season, his disappointment feels understandable, considering how hard he works to extract the best possible result every race weekend. McLaren is the dominant car, and Leclerc feels like he has to take advantage anytime the championship-leading team is on the back foot. His first stint's pace was good enough for a race win if he kept it up, but the Ferrari star was robbed of the chance to do so by factors out of his control. Shaun Alexander: Sam Darnold a good risk for Seahawks
The Seattle Seahawks have undergone plenty of high-profile changes since the calendar turned to 2024. Mike Macdonald was hired as the franchise's ninth head coach last January. This year, Seattle traded Geno Smith, signed Sam Darnold to a contract worth over $100 million, traded DK Metcalf and signed Cooper Kupp to play in his native state. Will the changes result in tangible improvement? The Seahawks haven't clinched a playoff berth since 2022 and haven't won a postseason game since the 2019 season, but former Seahawks great Shaun Alexander believes the team is on the cusp of something special. 'Coach McDonald, his style, his personality, I think the way he's doing it is going to be very beneficial for us. The Seahawk family is in a good place to go on a great run,' Alexander said to USA TODAY Sports on behalf of USAA's Salute to Service Bootcamp. 'Last year, we were the only team with 10 wins and not make the playoffs.' The Seahawks were a part of the quarterback carousel this offseason when they sent Smith to the Las Vegas Raiders and signed Darnold during free agency. Darnold is coming off an impressive 2024 campaign with the Minnesota Vikings in which he recorded career-highs in most major quarterback statistical categories. He became the first QB in NFL history to record 14 wins in his first season with a team and his performance earned him his first ever Pro Bowl nod. But Darnold's been a journeyman quarterback for a majority of his career. Seattle's his fifth team in eight seasons. The big question is whether Darnold's lone Pro Bowl year in Minnesota was an anomaly or a sign of things to come? Seattle signed the 28-year-old quarterback to a three-year contract. However, the structure of the deal enables the Seahawks to cut Darnold after just one season and the club drafted an insurance plan in the third-round of the 2025 draft in Alabama product Jalen Milroe. 'I'm one of those people like, is the risk? Yes, but is it a good risk? Yes. One hand, I love Geno I thought he was very good for our team… Here we are with Sam, I think he's gonna be a good quarterback,' Alexander explained. 'Sam is a fine NFL quarterback that if put in the right situation, he can look really good.' Alexander is the Seahawks' all-time leading rusher. Suitably, he thinks Darnold is in a good offensive situation because of the current Seattle running back, Kenneth Walker, who could be motivated because he's on an expiring contract. Exclusive: Patrick Mahomes talks painful Super Bowl loss (and new haircut) 'I've always thought he was a steal. I always thought he was a jewel of a running back. I think a healthy him gives us a shot in every game. He could look like he just passively is going to put up 100 yards and score a touchdown,' Alexander said. 'He's gonna be in a good place to have a great year this year.' Is Darnold going to be the franchise QB the Seahawks are paying him to be? It's one of the more fascinating questions entering the season. Although, akin to all quarterbacks, the answer is largely dependent upon his surrounding parts.
