Vertiv accelerates AI Infrastructure Evolution in alignment with NVIDIA 800 VDC Power Architecture announcement
Vertiv (NYSE: VRT), a global provider of critical digital infrastructure, today confirmed its strategic alignment with NVIDIA's announcement of an AI roadmap to deploy 800 VDC power architectures for the next generation of AI-centric data centers. Paving the way for future-ready designs, Vertiv's 800 VDC power portfolio is scheduled for release in the second half of 2026 — ahead of NVIDIA Kyber and NVIDIA Rubin Ultra platform rollouts.
Vertiv aligns with the NVIDIA AI roadmap to stay one GPU generation ahead, enabling customers to deploy their power and cooling infrastructure in sync with NVIDIA's next-generation compute platforms. Vertiv provides end-to-end power, cooling, integrated infrastructure and services to support AI factories and other data center deployments.
As rack power requirements in AI environments scale beyond 300 kilowatts, 800 VDC enables more efficient, centralized power delivery by reducing copper usage, current, and thermal losses. Vertiv's upcoming portfolio will feature centralized rectifiers, high-efficiency DC busways, rack-level DC-DC converters, and DC-compatible backup systems, expanding its broad, end-to-end power management portfolio that already includes a robust AC power train.
'As GPUs evolve to support increasingly complex AI applications at giga-watt scale, power and cooling providers need to be equally innovative to provide energy-efficient and high-density solutions for the AI factories. While the 800 VDC portfolio is new, DC power isn't a new direction for us, it's a continuation of what we've already done at scale,' said Scott Armul, executive vice president of global portfolio and business units at Vertiv. 'We've spent decades deploying higher-voltage DC architectures across global telecom, industrial, and data center applications. We're entering this transition from a position of strength and bringing real-world experience to meet the demands of the AI factory.'
Vertiv's experience in DC power spans more than two decades of ±400 VDC deployments, broadened by strategic acquisitions during the early 2000's. These solutions support critical loads in global telecom networks, integrated microgrids, and mission-critical facilities. This foundation establishes Vertiv as a trusted leader in the safe design, deployment, and operation of higher-voltage DC architectures, with proven scale, portfolio, and long-term serviceability.
Designed for homogeneous AI zones in hyperscale environments, Vertiv's 800 VDC portfolio is a key pillar of its 'unit of compute' strategy — a systems-level design engineered to enable all infrastructure components — to interoperate as one modular and scalable system, matching infrastructure demands of next-generation GPUs. Vertiv's support for both AC and DC architectures is a strategic differentiator in the evolving AI data center landscape.

China Proposes Global AI Cooperation Organization
Israa Farhan China has proposed the creation of a global organization dedicated to cooperation on artificial intelligence (AI), calling for international collaboration on both development and safety frameworks. The announcement was made on Saturday by Chinese Premier Li Qiang during the opening ceremony of the World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) in Shanghai. Describing AI as a new engine for global economic growth, Li stressed that international governance in the field remains fragmented. He urged nations to coordinate their efforts and work towards establishing a widely accepted global framework for AI regulation. The three-day event gathers top industry leaders and policymakers amid intensifying tech competition between China and the United States, the world's two largest economies. With AI emerging as a critical strategic domain, the conference reflects growing global concerns over how the technology is governed, accessed, and deployed. Premier Li stated that significant differences remain between countries regarding regulatory philosophies and institutional standards for AI. He called for urgent efforts to develop a global AI governance framework that enjoys broad international consensus. The proposal comes at a time when the US has tightened restrictions on the export of advanced technologies to China, including cutting-edge AI chips developed by firms like Nvidia and key semiconductor manufacturing equipment. These measures are grounded in national security concerns, particularly around the potential military applications of AI. Despite these barriers, China has continued to make substantial progress in AI development, drawing scrutiny from American officials. Though Li did not mention the United States directly, he warned that AI must not become an exclusive tool controlled by a few powerful nations or corporations. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Sports Get to Know 2025 WWE Evolution Results News "Tensions Escalate: Iran Probes Allegations of Indian Tech Collaboration with Israeli Intelligence" News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks

NVIDIA Halts Production of Most Powerful AI Chips for China
Taarek Refaat NVIDIA, the world's most valuable semiconductor company, has informed Chinese customers that it will no longer produce its most powerful AI chip currently permitted for export to China under U.S. trade restrictions, the H20 GPU, according to a report by The Information. The decision comes despite a historic rally in NVIDIA's stock this year, driven by explosive demand for artificial intelligence hardware. The company attributed the production halt to tightening U.S. export controls and redirected manufacturing capacity at Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), its key foundry partner. The H20 chip, part of NVIDIA's 'watered-down' lineup developed specifically to comply with U.S. export restrictions, had become the most advanced GPU still legally available in China. But in April, the U.S. government imposed further limits, effectively banning the sale of even these restricted chips. This forced NVIDIA to cancel customer orders and relinquish reserved production slots at TSMC. Although NVIDIA publicly stated this week it plans to resume sales of the H20, sources familiar with the matter told The Information that there are no plans to restart production, signaling deeper uncertainty about the company's China strategy. Speaking at a press event in Beijing earlier this week, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang said TSMC had already repurposed its H20 production lines to serve other clients. 'Starting production from scratch could take as long as nine months,' he noted. To maintain its presence in the Chinese market, NVIDIA is reportedly developing a new graphics processing unit (GPU), RTX Pro, that would comply with the latest export restrictions. However, the development timeline and regulatory approval remain unclear. Huang also indicated that export licenses for China-bound products would be reviewed more quickly moving forward, in an effort to maintain supply amid rising demand. As of the latest market data, NVIDIA's stock (ticker NVDA) is trading at $172.41 USD, down slightly by $0.67 (approximately ‑0.38%) over the past day Today's range: $171.28 – $174.22 Previous close: $173.00 Market cap: ~$4.2 trillion, with over 60 analysts rating it a 'Strong Buy' and a 12-month price target averaging $179.55, suggesting modest upside. The stock climbed more than 1500% since the past five years. read more CBE: Deposits in Local Currency Hit EGP 5.25 Trillion Morocco Plans to Spend $1 Billion to Mitigate Drought Effect Gov't Approves Final Version of State Ownership Policy Document Egypt's Economy Expected to Grow 5% by the end of 2022/23- Minister Qatar Agrees to Supply Germany with LNG for 15 Years Business Oil Prices Descend amid Anticipation of Additional US Strategic Petroleum Reserves Business Suez Canal Records $704 Million, Historically Highest Monthly Revenue Business Egypt's Stock Exchange Earns EGP 4.9 Billion on Tuesday Business Wheat delivery season commences on April 15 News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle News "Tensions Escalate: Iran Probes Allegations of Indian Tech Collaboration with Israeli Intelligence" Sports Get to Know 2025 WWE Evolution Results News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks
