Bjorn Ulvaeus uncertain if Abba Voyage will continue if bandmate dies
The musician and composer, 80, became an international star alongside Anni-Frid Lyngstad, 79, Agnetha Faltskog, 75, and Benny Andersson, 78, after the group swept to victory as the first Swedish winners of the Eurovision Song Contest in 1974.
Since May 2022, Abba Voyage has seen the band represented on stage by digital avatars, or 'Abbatars', performing all their classic hits such as 'Dancing Queen' and 'Gimme Gimme Gimme' alongside a live band at the purpose-built Abba Arena at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London.
Asked on Times Radio if the concerts will continue after a band member has died, Ulvaeus replied: 'That's a question I've never had before… I honestly don't know, hadn't thought about that.
'It's good you raise that question – I'll talk to the others about that as we need to decide beforehand between us if it's OK for all four of us to go on after we're gone.'
The 2022 opening night of Abba Voyage saw Fältskog, Ulvaeus, Andersson and Lyngstad make their first public appearance together in 14 years.
Voyage was also the name of the band's first album in almost four decades, which they announced at the time with two comeback singles: 'I Still Have Faith in You' and 'Don't Shut Me Down'. The album broke the record for most pre-orders ever and topped the UK charts.
In her five star review on the Abba Voyage concert, The Independent's Jessie Thompson wrote: 'The set-list is mostly crowd-pleasing: 'Dancing Queen', 'SOS' and 'Waterloo' are all here, with a restrained number of songs from the new album. The naff costumes have had a glow up from Dolce & Gabbana, and choreographer Wayne McGregor has helped to recreate the band's original moves, which are endearingly low-energy.
'Abba Voyage preserves their achievement as the world's greatest pop band forever, and fans will be able to take leave of their senses to the chorus of 'Gimme Gimme Gimme' for as long as they still want to.'
You can buy Abba Voyage tickets from the production's official website, with availability dates currently showing until January 2026. Seated ticket prices start at £38.50, with standing entry access from £55.

BBC Ends Ties With ‘MasterChef' Host Gregg Wallace After Investigation
The BBC said on Monday that it would stop working with Gregg Wallace, a mainstay of the network and the longtime host of its hit television show 'MasterChef,' after an investigation substantiated dozens of sexual misconduct allegations against him. Of the 83 allegations made against Mr. Wallace, 45 were upheld, the broadcaster said. These included three instances of him being 'in a state of undress' and one of unwelcome physical contact. The majority of claims against Mr. Wallace, who hosted the show for 19 years, involve 'inappropriate sexual language and humor,' but the probe also found allegations of culturally and racially insensitive comments. The investigation, conducted by the law firm Lewis Silkin, involved interviews with 78 witnesses over seven months. It covered incidents between 2005 and 2024. 'The volume and consistency of substantiated allegations' made Mr. Wallace's return to the hit cooking show 'untenable,' according to a statement from the production company behind the show, Banijay. Mr. Wallace strongly denied many of the allegations in a statement posted to Instagram. On Monday morning, after the BBC reported it would stop working with Mr. Wallace, the post had been deleted. 'I recognize that some of my humor and language, at times, was inappropriate,' Mr. Wallace wrote in the now-deleted post. 'For that, I apologize without reservation. But I was never the caricature now being sold for clicks.' He said he had been hired as the 'cheeky greengrocer' — a role that included his warmth and rough edges. 'Now,' he said, 'in a sanitized world, that same personality is seen as a problem.' Want all of The Times? Subscribe.

SUPERMAMN Soars to $217 Million Worldwide at the Box Office — GeekTyrant
Superman has officially landed, and it brought $217 million with him. James Gunn's reboot of the Man of Steel opened with $122 million in North America and another $95 million from overseas markets, giving the DC Universe the much-needed jolt it needed. It's a solid debut, even if international turnout was slightly cooler than expected. 'Superman has always been identified as a quintessentially American character and story,' said David A. Gross of FranchiseRe. 'And in some parts of the world, America is currently not enjoying its greatest popularity.' Those patriotic roots may explain why the film stumbled in China, pulling in just $6.6 million there, especially when compared to Jurassic World Rebirth , which nabbed $25 million in its Chinese debut the week before. Still, Superman found stronger footing in the UK ($9.8M), Mexico ($8.8M), Brazil ($5.9M), and Australia ($5.3M). Directed by Gunn and starring David Corenswet as Clark Kent and Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, the $225 million-budgeted Superman kicks off a full reboot of the DC cinematic universe. The studio is betting big on this new direction, with a 10-year roadmap that includes titles like Supergirl and Clayface already dated for 2026. Meanwhile, Universal's Jurassic World Rebirth is proving to be a box office beast. In its second weekend overseas, the film hauled in another $68 million across 82 markets, boosting its international total to $297 million and $529 million globally. The movie has clearly struck a chord with audiences, giving the franchise a fresh lease on life. Apple's F1 , starring Brad Pitt, continues to pick up speed as well. The racing drama added $38.5 million overseas and $51.5 million worldwide in its third weekend. That brings its global total to $393 million, making it Apple's highest-grossing movie to date and proving that prestige projects can still have commercial appeal. And then there's Lilo & Stitch , Disney's reimagining of the beloved animated film has quietly become a monster hit. After eight weeks in theaters, it's sitting at $994 million worldwide, with $579 million of that from overseas alone. Barring a major surprise, it'll become 2025's first billion-dollar movie within days. Not all of Disney's bets are paying off, though. Pixar's Elio continues to underperform despite solid reviews. The film has made just $117 million globally on a $150 million budget, with only $53 million coming from international markets. It's likely to go down as one of Pixar's rare theatrical flops.
