McDonald's announces exciting new McFlurry flavor… but only for a limited time

Daily Mail18-06-2025
McDonald's has revealed an exciting new McFlurry flavor but fans will need to act fast.
The fast food giant rolled out the Hershey's S'mores McFlurry nationwide on June 10, just in time for summer.
The limited-edition dessert is made with McDonald's classic vanilla soft serve, blended with Hershey's milk chocolate, graham cracker crumbles, and marshmallow pieces.
'Whether you're looking to grab a sweet snack before lounging around the campfire or looking to satisfy your summer craving, the Hershey's S'mores McFlurry will be your go-to summer dessert,' the company added.
But while it's already generating plenty of buzz, it won't be sticking around forever. McDonald's hasn't set an exact end date — so once it's gone, it's gone.
'I cannot wait to try it!!!' one fan wrote on Reddit in anticipation.
'I added fudge topping to it, its brings out the chocolate more!' another advised.
However, others said they were left disappointed by the dehydrated marshmallows and new paper packaging that quickly became soggy.
'The paper cups are horrible though and so messy,' one consumer complained.
'It's like they went to Walmart to find the worst dried marshmallows from generic cereal,' another added.
Last summer McDonald's delighted fans by reintroducing the Kit Kat Banana Split McFlurry for the summer.
The frozen dessert was also made with vanilla soft-serve ice-cream but blended with bits of Kit Kat candy bars and 'real banana, strawberry clusters.'
The Golden Arches also recently introduced a Birthday Cake McFlurry to celebrate the dessert's 30th anniversary.
However, American fans were left furious when they realized it would be available in Canada but not in the US.
'I knew the second I saw this it wasn't in America,' an Instagram user wrote in disdain.
The move is a nod towards the fact that the McFlurry was actually invented by Canadian franchisee Ron McLellan in 1995.
Customers were furious to learn that Birthday Cake McFlurry is only available in Canada
McDonald's is working to bounce back from recent sales dives
Like the Birthday Cake McFlurry, the chain's new Creme-Egg McFlurry and Apple Shake are not available in the US.
Canada also offers Skor and Smarties McFlurries at all McDonald's restaurants.
While the McFlurry has grown to become a talked-about desert at the fast food empire, it hasn't diminished the anticipation over the return of snack wraps.
McDonald's has been busy working on bouncing back from slumping sales, which includes a 3.6 percent drop in the first quarter of the year.

People call Jenna Ortega 'real Wednesday' after revealing childhood hobby

Wednesday star Jenna Ortega has been crowned the 'real Wednesday Addams' after revealing her favourite hobby when she was a child - but not everyone is convinced The Netflix show 'Wednesday' is about to return to our screens for a second season, with the first four episodes dropping today (August 6). If it's anything like season 1, we're in for more monstrous mayhem, gore and heaps of gothic sarcasm. ‌ The series follows Wednesday from the Addams family as she attends the boarding school Nevermore Academy, where she's attempting to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a killing spree and solve the mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago. The role of Wednesday is played by Jenna Ortega, whom fans claimed has captured Wednesday's iconic personality perfectly. However, how much of it is actually acting? ‌ Ahead of the release of the first season, Jenna appeared in an interview with Wired, where she was asked about her relationship with former The Fallout co-star Maddie Ziegler was still friends. ‌ 'She's one of my greatest friends ever,' the Wednesday star said before adding her "beautiful, wonderful baby angel face" pal was "somebody that I instantly clicked with". "Maddie and I are the same person in different fonts," as she continued. "She's such a weirdo and I'm a weirdo." ‌ Ortega then went on to illustrate her own "weirdness" with an interesting example of how she used to pass the time. But rather than listing something typical like reading or riding her bike, she revealed her interesting in performing "autopsies on little animals when [she] was younger," including "little lizards that I found that were dead in my backyard". She quickly went on to clarify this wasn't a shared hobby with the former Dance Moms star, who's more of a "weirdo in the sense that she breaks out into characters or movements or makes faces". "Her comedic timing is so under-appreciated," she explained. "She makes me laugh. We have a good time. We're really weird together.' ‌ People were quick to make note of this obscure hobby, with some saying it sounded very Wednesday Addams-esque. "Gives Wednesday Addams vibes," one person wrote on Reddit. However, another person questioned: "Why would she say this?" A third person said: "Not something I would ever admit to, but to be fair there is a big difference between actually killing the animal to do a little autopsy on it and just finding a dead one and doing it." "Maybe I'm weird but this isn't weird to me… it sounds like something some little kids have done and still do," someone else suggested. However, not everyone believed she was telling the truth, as another person said: "I am choosing to believe she's putting a fake persona to get people to watch Wednesday." "This is the first thing I thought! I actually think it's more impressive when you play the role so well even though you don't have an relatability to it," someone else said.
