Sharon Osbourne beat up reality star to defend Ozzy

Daily Record24-07-2025
A clip of Sharon Osbourne throwing a drink in the face of a reality star after she insulted Ozzy has resurfaced following the Black Sabbath rocker's death.
A blazing throwback clip of Sharon Osbourne defending her husband Ozzy has gone viral following the rock legend's death.

Supporters have applauded Sharon's devotion as, in the footage, the mother of three fires back at Megan Hauserman, who was then appearing on Rock of Love: Charm School, after she had mocked Ozzy.

Megan had declared: "The only thing you've managed to do as a celebrity is to watch your husband's brain turn into a vegetable."

However, Sharon addressed the crowd saying: "I feel so sorry for her," before getting to her feet, casually taking a gulp from her mug - and then flinging the remaining liquid straight into Megan's face.
The dramatic confrontation occurred during the 2008 run of Sharon's programme, which featured participants battling to master proper manners in a bid to claim $100,000 (£73,000), reports the Mirror.
Megan, who worked as a model and performer, was booted out in the fourth episode of her series, just after her bust-up with Sharon, who was then 56 and already a familiar face across music and television in America and Britain.

She declared to her viewers: "They can f*** with me... I don't give a sh** - but not my family."
Security rushed onto the set as the atmosphere became heated on the VH1 show. After the explosive row, Megan took legal action against Sharon for assault and causing distress, whilst Sharon hit back with her own lawsuit, claiming the reality personality had accepted the risks and violated their television contract by pursuing legal action.

The dispute was quietly resolved in 2011 for an undisclosed six-figure amount. Since then, 43 year old Megan has been the star of her own notorious, short-lived dating show: Megan Wants a Millionaire. The programme was cancelled during its first - and only - season, with just three episodes broadcast in 2009.
This week, as the Rock of Love: Charm School clip resurfaced online, social media users took a swipe at Megan. They also praised Sharon's devotion, with one user declaring: "The way she loved Ozzy is something not common... She really, REALLY loved her husband."

Another commented: "Ozzy was so blessed to have someone as loving as she was."
An additional fan wrote: "Ozzy was the king of metal, but she was the queen. Never attack royalty."
Another remark states: "GO Sharon. She doesn't play when it comes to her man."

Music manager Sharon, aged 72, expressed her sorrow this week over Ozzy's passing. The television personality, who has served as a judge on The X Factor, said in a family statement: "It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time."
Sharon married Ozzy in Hawaii, US, in July 1982 and they had three children together; Jack, Kelly, Aimee, with the music icon. Their humorous reality TV series, The Osbournes, was a massive success and ran for three seasons from 2002 to 2005.
Ozzy passed away on Tuesday "surrounded by love" after a battle with Parkinson's disease.

BBC Radio legend exposes huge music icon as the most 'unpleasant' celeb she's ever interviewed

Radio legend Jo Whiley said the star left her feeling "so tiny and so stupid" during their interview. BBC Radio One legend Jo Whiley has revealed the name of the rudest famous person she's ever interviewed in a jaw dropping confession. The 60-year-old veteran broadcaster interviewed countless stars during her time as a radio DJ. ‌ However, speaking to fellow presenter, Zoe Ball, on their Dig it podcast recently, Jo admitted there was one celebrity who shattered her confidence during an interview which left her feeling "stupid". When asked by Zoe if she had ever felt starstruck during an interview, Jo recalled an interview with one of the world's biggest rappers but it was memorable for all the wrong reasons. ‌ Jo told Zoe she was left feeling "so tiny" after interviewing hip hop legend Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, the Mirror reports. She explained: "I remember interviewing Eminem and Dr Dre one time and that was horrible. ‌ "I'd interviewed Eminem when he was very young and he was very shy and polite. He kept calling me "ma'am" all the time and he was really, really sweet and humble. "Then a couple of years later he came back on the show but with Dr Dre and the fame had happened and he was just this other creature altogether. ‌ "They were just so playful with me - and can I just say they made me feel so tiny and so stupid." ‌ It comes as the radio DJ insisted she is not slowing down any time soon after turning 60 last month and saying that she doesn't think milestone birthdays are a "big deal". The mum-of-five said that the interview with Eminem was overall "a really unpleasant experience" as she and Zoe chatted about being starstruck by the rich and famous. ‌ Her admission comes after the broadcaster opened up about how she had been struck down by anxiety at the height of her DJing career in the 90s. She told Woman's Health: "I remember doing one gig and I was just so scared, I thought I can't go on like this. This is ridiculous. "It's ruining my life because I'm just such a ball of anxiety. ‌ "But then I realised how happy it was making people when I do these gigs and that was a game changer." Jo, is still one of the most sought after DJs in the industry and insisted her 60th birthday, which she celebrated last month, is just the same as any other. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! "It's something that you very much don't want to be a thing, but it becomes a thing because everybody focuses on it and asks you about it constantly. "It's a bizarre situation to be in because I'm only another year older than I was last year, and a year younger than I will be next year. There's an obsession with reaching certain milestones due to your age. People focus on it too much."

Fake or Fortune guest lost for words as painting given five-figure sum

More info A Fake or Fortune guest was lost for words as his painting was given a five-figure sum. Robjn Cantus, who lives near Cambridge, bought more than 30 paintings during a "trolley dash" at an auction house back in 2020. He was particularly excited to pick up a painting by Vera Cunningham, which was one of two items in the same lot attributed to the artist. Robjn paid £35 for the pair, but only wanted one of them. On the latest episode of Fake or Fortune, which aired on Monday (August 4), Robjn was stunned to discover that the "by-product" painting was actually a forgotten original by Frances Hodgkins, which was worth around £50,000, reports the Mirror. (Image: BBC) Hodgkins is regarded as one of New Zealand's most revered expatriate artists. Mary Kisler, an art historian from New Zealand and Hodgkins expert, studied the painting on the BBC show. "You can read Robjn's painting as fitting in to a really large number of Hodgkins' works. When you lay those works side-by-side, you can see absolutely that Robjn's work fits among them," she said. "I do wonder if this is October Landscape," Mary added, referring to a painting by Hodgkins that had not been found. "I think it's a damn good one - I'd love to have it myself." Host Fiona Bruce added: "It's phenomenal... For Robjn, it's the find of a lifetime." (Image: BBC) Speaking to Metro about the staggering valuation, Robjn shared his surprise, saying: "I did wonder if it was the painting of a schoolchild when I first saw it. "I didn't really think much of it, just shoved it into an air-conditioned barn, and it went into my storage area to be forgotten." Robjn also remained adamant that his rare item isn't for sale, adding: "Since filming, I've forgotten about it, really. "For many viewers, the show is all about wealth - but I bought the painting in 2020, and I've got to the end of this journey. "To have it authenticated after trying for all those years is worth more than the value." Fake or Fortune is available to stream on BBC iPlayer

Emmerdale fans 'solve' who Ray was on the phone to - and who he's working with

Emmerdale fans think they know who new villain Ray was speaking with on the phone on Tuesday, and who on the ITV soap he might be working with amid him targeting Dylan Ray in Emmerdale was shown making a cryptic phone call with an accomplice during Tuesday's episode of the ITV soap. Now, some fans are convinced he's working with a familiar face. ‌ Just weeks on from Joe Tate being tipped to be in cahoots with Ray, a mystery scene in the latest episode has sparked more theories. Ray was shown targeting both Dylan Penders and April Windsor, before speaking to someone about their dodgy dealings. ‌ It comes as spoilers revealed April would be the villain's next target, with him already dragging Dylan into his drug dealing. Next week April will be left torn as she's manipulated into a drug drop by Ray, with it not revealed if she goes through with it or not. ‌ On Tuesday night we saw Dylan turning down a job from Ray, who feigned acceptance of this. It was clear he was manipulating the teenager, giving him loads of money and claiming to be his friend. With Dylan not keen to help Ray, he told him he couldn't help him on the latest job and Ray said it was okay. But at the end of the episode we saw him spying on both Dylan and April, before making a worrying comment. ‌ He was speaking to someone on the phone but their identity was not revealed. Ray told the mystery person that April was "sweet and innocent" and would be perfect for whatever they had planned. He claimed she would be "of use to them", no doubt with their dodgy dealings and jobs like the ones Dylan has been doing. But who was Ray speaking with, and who is he working with? Viewers had a theory or two about this, believing we already know the person on the other end of the phone. Some fans have gone back to the Joe theory, believing they are working together. ‌ Another theory speculated that fellow newcomer Celia might be linked to Ray. One theory said: "Anyone else curious as to who Ray was on the phone with? I reckon it's someone we know like Joe." Another post echoed this theory saying: "Is Ray working with Joe?" Meanwhile another fan commented: "Imagine if Ray was working with Celia." It comes amid Celia teaming up with Moira Dingle after both of them had drama with the Tates. Celia had a farm related business offer amid Moira's financial woes, while Celia revealed Kim Tate had raised her rent. Fans wondered if Celia was really helping Moira or if she was secretly against her.
