Experts say that adding Indian flavours to Potter cuisine would be magical. Says chef Beena Noronha, 'If Hogwarts were set in India, walking into the Great Hall would feel like stepping into a grand Indian wedding — smells of biryani, butter chicken, smoky tikkas, saffron, and ghee would fill the air. Thalis would float to the students, piled high with fragrant curries, chutneys sparkling like potions, and mithai pyramids almost touching the enchanted ceiling.' Adds chef Ishijyot Surri, 'Indian food culture thrives on narrative and sensory experience, which aligns perfectly with the wizarding world and its culinary magic. Spices like star anise, black pepper, mace, saffron and fennel can enhance the magical experience. Indian combinations of flavours that blend sweetness, spice, tang, and floral notes could evoke the enchanting essence of the Harry Potter world.'
'Imagine serving a Sorcerer's Millet Pilaf – it showcases foxtail millet and root veggies in broth, set in a pumpkin or an earthen bowl with edible flowers on top. Gluten-free, light and brimming with plant goodness, it'd be perfect for a modern-day Hogwarts feast,' says Shivani Sharma, chefpreneur and founder of a gourmet brand.

Butterbeer variants
* Masala doodh is associated with warmth, celebrations, and comfort — exactly what Butterbeer is supposed to be. It'll be spiced with cardamom, saffron, and pistachios, sweetened with jaggery
* A warm, frothy jaggery-spice brew: Think saffron, cinnamon, cardamom, a hint of ginger, sweetened naturally with jaggery, topped with a cloud of whipped malai. Serve in old school copper mugs, dust with a little edible gold dust
* Use a base of spiced masala chai and top it with lightly whipped saffron cream and caramelised jaggery. Jaggery gives a richer flavour, while a splash of coconut milk can add a magical texture. It would resemble the feel of festive chai served in a kulhad, but it'd be frothy and buttery
* Saffron Thandai Latte reflects the lavish indulgence of Butterbeer as it is a warm, creamy blend of almonds, saffron, fennel, and rose. The slight kick of Butterbeer is reminiscent in thandai's pepper and cardamom notes
* Nut Milk Latte made with almond butter and laced with spice (sweetened with dates or jaggery), foamy with a dollop of coconut cream. Rather than heavy sugar, it'd add warmth from nutmeg, cinnamon, and a hint of pink salt
Butterbeer thandai
Honeydukes mithai shop
Jalebi Wands – crispy spirals of flossed sugar bursting with edible glitter syrup
Chocolate Barfi Frogs – ones that jump when warmed
Peda Snitches with golden varq wings
Gulab jamun firecrackers bursting with paan syrup or Rasgulla Bubbles
Bertie Botts Indian edition
* The Every Flavour Indian mix: Start with gulkand and take a turn towards saucy with imli. Then you'd have limey and sharp hing followed by some spicy green chilli. Add smoky black cardamom with earthy paan and jaljeera zing with a bitter gourd bite
Harry's Treacle Tart
* Gur and Coconut Tart: The almond crust would be gluten-free, and it'd cradle a luscious filling of coconut, jaggery and a hint of saffron. The combination of coconut barfi and caramel would bring in soft sizzling warmth
Pumpkin Pasties
* Mini Gluten Free Pumpkin Filled Empanadas: Made from almond or amaranth flour, the spiced filling would consist of cumin, fennel, green chillies, and a hint of jaggery to balance sweetness. Bake the pockets instead of frying

Rajesh Kumar , best known for his roles in popular shows like 'Sarabhai vs Sarabhai', Excuse Me Maadam, and 'Kota Factory', is finally back in the spotlight. Thanks to his supporting role in 'Saiyaara', the actor has found his place again in the film industry. The romantic drama, directed by Mohit Suri and starring newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda , turned out to be a massive box office hit. Released in July, 'Saiyaara' opened to good reviews and shocked everyone with its numbers. The film has already made over Rs 400 crore worldwide and is expected to cross Rs 500 crore soon. While Rajesh is now enjoying success, has shared that he went through a very tough time not long ago, one that involved financial loss, emotional stress, and a strong comeback. Left acting and turned to farming In an interview with Meri Saheli, Rajesh revealed he once faced serious money problems. 'Bankruptcy, yes. The incoming and outgoing flow had gone for a toss. There was no incoming, and I had exhausted all my reserves because of the outgoing. I went under debt of Rs 2 crore,' he said. He added, '(Bankruptcy) is a big word, but definitely, I had that feeling with me for a long time. I was not able to generate money for survival also. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like These Are The Most Beautiful Women In The World Undo This was definitely a phase.' Rajesh had decided to quit acting in 2019 and took up farming. But things didn't go as planned. He wanted to break the myth that farming is only for people with no better career choices. 'Nobody these days dreams of becoming a farmer when they grow up,' he said, explaining how he hoped to change people's views about farming. Lockdown worsened the money crisis Rajesh had barely started farming when things began to go wrong. First, weather conditions affected his crops, and then the pandemic made it even worse. Speaking to Rajshri Unplugged, he said, 'Financially, I was on a slide. By the lockdown, I had used up my savings, and was literally bankrupt. I didn't have anything in my pocket. I had huge loans, and that was adding to the pressure.'The lack of income during that time meant Rajesh couldn't even manage basic survival, despite trying his best. Just Rs 2,500 in the bank Rajesh also shared a heartbreaking memory of when he worked on a film called 'Binny and Family'. He had to travel to the UK for a 24-day shoot, but money was so tight that he couldn't afford to bring anything back for his children. In an interview with Dainik Bhaskar, he said, 'I had just Rs 2,500 in my bank account when I was in the UK. I traveled back and forth twice during that 24-day shoot, but I couldn't bring back even two chocolates for my kids. ' Family support kept him going Throughout this difficult time, Rajesh said it was his family that stood by him and gave him the strength to keep going. He admitted that he wasn't earning enough to even survive, and without his loved ones helping him out, he may not have made it through. A much-needed comeback with 'Saiyaara' Now that 'Saiyaara' has turned out to be a box office success, Rajesh finally feels like he's back where he belongs. The film has not only helped him return to the big screen but has also reminded fans of his talent. He plays Aneet Padda's father in the film.

Prasidh Krishna On What Made Joe Root Angry: 'I Just Said, You Are Looking...'
Last Updated: Prasidh Krishna has revealed what he told Joe Root that led to their fiery on-field spat. Indian fast-bowler Prasidh Krishna has revealed he told England's Joe Root that he was 'looking in great shape' during the fifth Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy, which led to 'a lot of abuse' and an ugly on-field spat between the two. Prasidh was slammed on social media for riling up someone with as clean an image as Root, but according to the Karnataka man, even he didn't expect 'such a big reaction'. The incident happened soon after Root came to the crease in the second innings of the Test. His face turned red after the conversation, and he hit a few boundaries against Prasidh, who responded with a couple of bouncers in anger. Umpire Kumar Dharmasena didn't take long to involve himself in it, following Prasidh like a hawk from thereon. He was heard having chats with KL Rahul and captain Shubman Gill, who didn't seem pleased with being asked to control the verbal attacks. 'I don't know why Rooty [reacted]," Prasidh told the BBC's Test Match Special. 'I just said, 'You're looking in great shape,' and then it turned into a lot of abuse and all of that. Later, at the press conference, Prasidh was asked if the plan was to distract the Englishman. 'That was the plan, but I didn't expect the couple of words I said to get such a big reaction from him," Prasidh said. Prasidh also conceded that Root was a legend of the game. 'That's just who I am when I'm bowling, when I'm enjoying. If it means that I have a bit of a chatter with the batter… and it does help me when I can get under the nerves of the batsman and get a reaction from them. But I love the guy that he is. He is a legend of the game and I think it is great when two people are out there wanting to do the best and be a winner at a given moment," he added. Eventually, Root got out LBW to Mohammed Siraj. England folded for 247, only 23 runs ahead of the visitors, and the third essay yielded 75/2 led by Yashasvi Jaiswal's fifty before Stumps.
