John Daly Toasts 'Bonus Daughter' as Love Life with Anna Cladakis Thrives

John Daly has never been just another golfer. From outdriving Tiger Woods while hungover to lighting up crowds with his wild outfits and on-course banter, the 2-time major champion has delivered some of golf's unforgettable moments.
But these days, the 59-year-old is a bit tender on the greens. Daly withdrew from the Regions Tradition in May due to injury and finished T63 at the Kaulig Championship last month.
While his play on the PGA Tour Champions is rocky, his love life is certainly not.
Daly, who has been in a relationship with Anna Cladakis since 2007, took a heartfelt step forward in their long-standing romance this weekend.

On Saturday, he posted a birthday message for Anna's daughter, Charitsa Cladakis, typing, "Happiest Bday to my bonus daughter.... LIL GRIT!"
He followed it up with a proud nod to her future, "You're going to be one amazing Dr! I love you! Happy 21st!"
And no doubt the message had what one can say John Daly vibes. "Time to toast a @goodboyvodka @charistaa." (Good Boy Vodka is Daly's own vodka brand, which he co-founded in 2021)
Charitsa is Anna's daughter from her previous relationship with Chris T. Sullivan, the founder of Outback Steakhouse. And her 21st birthday just showcased Daly's deepening bond with Anna's family. Especially the two words "bonus daughter!"
That's a notable shift for a man whose personal life has often been turbulent. Daly has been married four times.
First to Dale Crafton (1987–1990), then he was with Bettye Fulford (1992–1995), followed by Paulette Dean (1995–1999), and Sherrie Miller (2001–2007).
His relationships were often marred by public disputes, legal battles, and personal struggles. His fourth marriage ended after a highly publicized altercation, and Daly was later granted custody of their son, John Daly II.
But with Anna, things have been different. In a 2016 interview, Daly credited her with bringing calm to his chaotic world.
"Anna has been one of the most supportive human beings in my world," he said.
The couple hasn't tied the knot, yet their nearly two-decade relationship has endured more than most marriages. Maybe that is how it was meant to be.

Shannon Sharpe still hasn't legally responded to bombshell sexual assault lawsuit
Shannon Sharpe's legal team has not filed a response to the sexual assault lawsuit filed earlier this year, which created national headlines for days. The complaint had been filed in court in Nevada in April and alleged that Sharpe had assaulted, sexually assaulted, committed battery, sexual battery and had intentionally inflicted emotional distress on a woman in her 20s with whom he had a nearly two-year relationship. Sharpe, 57, has denied the claims and called the lawsuit a 'shakedown' in a statement released shortly after the suit had been filed. Advertisement Since the initial blitz of headlines, the case has gone quiet, but Pro Football Talk reported on Sunday that Sharpe has not filed a response to the civil complaint and that a hearing on three different motions would take place on July 9. Reps for Sharpe's legal team did not immediately return The Post's request for comment. Variety via Getty Images Sharpe's lawyer, Lanny Davis, had told reporters during a press conference in April that Sharpe would file a counterclaim against the woman, who Sharpe's legal team identified, but who The Post has not named. Advertisement Davis had also said at the time that Sharpe had offered the woman 'at least $10 million' in a settlement and called it a 'big surprise' when the case was filed. The plaintiff alleged that several times at the end of 2024 and the beginning of 2025, Sharpe had assaulted her. Davis claimed that the woman had been trying to commit 'a classic definition of blackmail' by filing the suit before Sharpe signed a massive podcast network deal that had been reported to be for more than $100 million. The plaintiff is being represented by Tony Buzzbee, who represented more than 20 women against Deshaun Watson during his extensive sexual assault case in 2021.

John Deere Classic: Max Homa Comes Painfully Close to Snapping Drought
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Just hours after Michelle Wie West's viral post reminded the world how deeply intertwined mental health and self-worth are with golf scores, Max Homa lived that truth in real-time. The 6-time PGA Tour winner came heartbreakingly close to ending his 18-month drought at the 2025 John Deere Classic, only to watch it slip away in the final stretch. His last win came in 2023 at the Farmers Insurance Open. This week, fans saw Homa claw his way into contention at the John Deere Classic, reminding the world that he is an elite player. After a frustrating season marked by a complete overhaul of his swing and mindset, his missing cuts, and parting ways with his long-time caddie, it seems the 34-year-old is heading in the right direction. (Photo by) More Getty Images Homa's week at TPC Deere Run started on a tear. He opened with a scorching 8-under 63, his lowest round of the season. The 34-year-old stayed in contention with back-to-back 68s for the second and third rounds. But on Sunday, at TPC Deere Run, it was one shot, a pulled drive on the par-4 15th, that flipped the script. His tee shot found the left rough, leading to a bogey that dropped him into a tie. Homa finished at 16-under overall after a final-round 2-under 69 to close the tournament. He settled for a six-way tie for fifth with Matt Kuchar, Lucas Glover, Carson Young, Jacob Bridgeman, and Kurt Kitayama. The former Cal Golden Bear finished one stroke shy of the playoff between Brian Campbell and Emiliano Grillo. Campbell, who won his maiden PGA Tour victory at the Mexico Open in February, claimed his second playoff title at the John Deere Classic. This finish was the fan favorite's first top-10 of the year, and he will take home a solid $344,400 payout from the $8.4 million purse. "I think taking what we've been doing this week and using that to go forward... I plan to be in this position a lot more," Homa said after his round on Saturday. There seems to be no doubt that Homa is coming back into form ahead of the Genesis Scottish Open. More Golf: LIV Player who burned a bridge re-joining PGA Tour at Scottish Open

This country's highway ‘plays' Beethoven's Ninth Symphony when you drive over it
It's an 'Ode to Joyriding.' Drivers in one stretch of highway in the United Arab Emirates are in for a musical treat when they cruise over cleverly-installed rumble strips — a rendition of Ludwig van Beethoven's Ninth Symphony. The reason is the spacing of the strips on a half-mile section in the right hand lane of the E84 highway in Fujairah, with the grooves sounding out the notes to the famed composer's masterpiece. 'I think that the project is focused on spreading the art culture,' Al Hefaiti told the Associated Press. 'The combination of music in our lives and our normal lives.'
