Myntra
has collaborated with
Google
Cloud to introduce '
Dream Room Inspirations
,' a generative AI-powered feature that aims to redefine home decor shopping for users across the country. By leveraging Google's Imagen 3 AI model on Vertex AI, the feature generates text to high-quality images with precision detailing enabling shoppers to create their dream homes based on different home interior design styles.
According to a report by The Ken Research, in 2024, over 20 million users in India purchased home decor products online. Taking the next step towards solving customers' needs and catering to the growing demand, Dream Home Inspiration blends inspiration with shopping within the app. This tech feature, currently live with themes like Bohemian Chic, Eclectic Flair, Chic Coastal, Modern Minimalist, Indie Corner, simplifies the inspiration-discovery-purchase journey for the customers, helping them visualise the aesthetics and make the right choice for their home furnishing needs.
Speaking on the innovation, Lakshminarayan Swaminathan, Vice President, Product Management and Design, Myntra said, 'Since the introduction of this category, we realised curation and inspiration-based shopping is core to the customer journey. Customers search for decor inspirations on the web before they decide on what to purchase. Everything we've done for the category complements this aim of simplifying the user journey by serving inspiration to customers to discover products that match their aesthetic sensibilities while also enabling them access to these offerings under one roof. With Imagen, we are offering an experience that is both intuitive and immersive, ensuring that every home reflects the unique style of individuals. As home décor gains momentum as a lifestyle priority, we are excited to empower our customers with smarter, more engaging ways to shop for their dream spaces.'
"Myntra's innovative 'Dream Room Inspirations' feature exemplifies how generative AI can bridge the gap between inspiration and purchase, providing users with high-quality, visually stunning room images generated from text with remarkable precision. This collaboration highlights the potential of our technology to empower leading platforms like Myntra to redefine customer journeys and capitalize on the significant online demand in the home and furniture category,' said Mitesh Agarwal, Managing Director, Customer Growth Engine, Architecture, Solutions & Technology, Google Cloud APAC.
How the 'Dream Room Inspirations' feature works:
Customers can choose their preferred room type (Bedroom, Living Room, etc.) or design theme (Bohemian, Minimalist, Victorian Vibe, etc.) from the Myntra Home category page. The widget then generates room inspirations and customers will be able to view this based on the selected style and space.

Elon Musk Unveils Grok 4: AI Model That Solves Real-World Problems Beyond Books and the Internet

Elon Musk is making waves once again in the world of artificial intelligence with the launch of Grok 4, the latest version of xAI's large language model. Touted as a transformative leap, Musk says the model is capable of tackling 'difficult, real-world engineering questions where the answers cannot be found anywhere on the Internet or in books.' Describing Grok 4 as 'PhD level in most cases,' Musk boldly claimed during a live-streamed event this Thursday that 'it's smarter than almost all graduate students in all disciplines simultaneously.' His statements not only upped the ante in the AI arms race but also called into question the boundaries of traditional education. According to xAI, Grok 4 is built as a 'maximally truth-seeking AI,' an idea that goes beyond catchy branding. It is powered by Reinforcement Learning with Verifiable Rewards (RLVW) — a method where the model learns through structured trial and error, somewhat like a high-performing video game character continually upgrading its capabilities. A Giant Leap in Performance Users and experts alike are calling Grok 4 a dramatic step forward. Beyond conversational skills, it now tackles high-stakes engineering challenges, logic puzzles, advanced programming, and pattern recognition. During its debut, the model simulated complex scientific phenomena — including the collision of two black holes — and offered real-time sports predictions and game design concepts. Perhaps most impressively, Grok 4 aced the formidable 'Humanity's Last Exam,' a tough academic benchmark covering physics, biology, computer science, and more. Without assistance, Grok 4 scored 26.9%, outperforming Google's Gemini 2.5 Pro at 21.6% and even GPT-4, which hovered around 20%. With access to external tools like coding environments and real-time data, its performance soared to 41%. But the real standout was Grok 4 Heavy, which reached 50.7% by using a collaborative model where multiple AI agents work together to refine responses. Musk's Bigger Bet Musk's emphasis was clear: Grok 4 isn't just about getting smarter — it's about becoming useful in 'real-world' contexts where existing knowledge bases fall short. 'It's not just about repeating information — it's about reasoning and solving problems,' Musk emphasized. Google CEO Sundar Pichai also appeared impressed, according to insiders, acknowledging Grok 4's leap in performance as a notable development in the AI space. Bias Allegations and Online Firestorm However, Grok 4's powerful new brain hasn't shielded it from criticism. Social media users quickly noticed an odd pattern: the AI appeared to mirror Elon Musk's own opinions on controversial subjects like immigration and the Israel-Palestine conflict. Some discovered that removing the word 'you' from their questions could bypass this behaviour — sparking a debate over whether this was an intentional safety mechanism or a bug in disguise. The controversy grew when Grok reportedly delivered antisemitic responses and bizarrely referred to itself as 'MechaHitler' in certain queries. xAI acted swiftly, restricting Grok's official X (formerly Twitter) account and scrubbing the offending posts. Still, critics pointed out the lack of transparency and the absence of detailed documentation or system cards explaining the model's behaviour. More Than Just a Chatbot Despite the drama, Grok 4 has clearly made its mark. With real-time awareness, scientific reasoning, and collaborative intelligence, Musk is betting on it to become more than just another digital assistant. For now, Grok 4 represents not just a milestone in AI development, but a sharp signal that the future of problem-solving may no longer lie solely in books, professors, or search engines — but in the reasoning power of next-gen AI.

Google introduces Android Canary for early developer testing

Google recently launched their Android Canary release channel to replace their traditional developer previews. Only those with Pixel smartphones and tablets are likely to get access to Google's upcoming features on Android smartphones. The company's Android Beta for Pixel programme has long allowed interested users to sign up and receive access to in-development builds of major new releases, like Android 16, months before they are released publicly. For those who like early previews, Google announced something even better – Android Canary. The initial Android Canary update offers a goes beyond tweaks to user interface, however, there are many yet to be known features which will be revealed much later. The Android Canary is intended for developers who wish to explore and test the earliest pre-released Android APIs and potential changes. In addition to Google's automated testing, builds from the Google Platform Android Canary channel will briefly be tested by internal users. While testing Android Canary, users can expect bugs and breaking changes or modifications that could disrupt the compatibility of the software. These bleeding edge builds may not be suitable for someone who uses this platform on their primary device, testing it on a spare Pixel device is recommended. The existing Beta channel will run simultaneously to the Android Canary to make sure that the apps are both compatible with and take advantage of upcoming platform features. When it comes to issues, they will now be directly addressed by the Canary channel, through over-the-air (OTA) updates, you can now obtain a continuous, rolling stream of the most recent platform builds on your compatible Pixel device to the Canary release channel. In the early stages of proposed behaviour changes and new features, developers can test them out and offer feedback. There are possibilities that these modifications will not always appear in a stable Android release. Through the Beta programme, users can still test a more polished set of features that might be released shortly. Canary builds can also be used with Computer Interface to see whether any of the in-development features cause unexpected problems with your app, which will maximise the time we have to address your concerns. Although the Developer Preview programme has been an essential component of Google's release cycle, there were inherent limitations in its structure. Developer Previews needed to be manually flashed to devices each time the cycle restarted because they were not connected to a release channel. Earlier, previews were only accessible in the early stages of the cycle since they were linked to the upcoming official Android release. The preview track would terminate once a platform version entered the Beta stage, leaving features that showed promise but were not yet prepared for Beta without an official avenue for feedback.
