Real Madrid star Rodrygo has no interest in joining Tottenham

Yahoo29-07-2025
Tottenham Hotspur are pursuing a deal for Real Madrid star Rodrygo.
But in a big blow for Spurs, the 24-year-old has no interest in joining the North London outfit, per Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna.
The Lilywhites reportedly made an inquiry for the Brazilian, but no talks are ongoing as the player is not keen to join them.
Rodrygo's future at Madrid has become doubtful following the arrival of Xabi Alonso as manager.
The forward was a key first-team member for Carlo Ancelotti, but barely featured in the FIFA Club World Cup under Alonso.
Rodrygo has three years left on his contract at the Santiago Bernabeu, but the Spanish giants are open to letting him leave.
Tottenham have signed Mohammed Kudus, Matheys Tel, Luka Vuskovic, Kevin Danso and Kota Takai so far this summer.
But they are not done yet as they aim to bring in further reinforcements for Premier League and Champions League campaigns in 2025-26.
Son Heung-min is expected to leave Tottenham amid interest from MLS side Los Angeles FC. Spurs are ready to cash in on the South Korean, who has just a year left on his contract.
With Son expected to depart, Tottenham are looking to make a marquee addition to the squad.
They identified Rodrygo as an ideal option, but it appears the 24-year-old has no intention of joining them.

Ecotec puts remote methane detection into pockets with the Gazoscan Mini

Gazoscan Mini on site scanning for Methane leaks Gazoscan Mini Highlights Detects methane from a distance of up to 50 feet Dimensions 8.9' x 2.7' x 4.1' Weight 0.85 lbs Proven tunable laser diode technology Rugged, field-durable casing design Certified intrinsically safe COVENTRY, United Kingdom, Aug. 05, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Ecotec is excited to announce a new methane detection device designed to improve worker safety and operational efficiency. The new Gazoscan Mini offers a portable, cost-effective solution for daily use by field operators. Traditionally, companies have had to choose between low-cost, reactive tools that alert workers once they're already in a methane zone and higher-cost, specialist systems that can be inappropriate for daily use or fixed to a single location. While both types of tools remain important for methane detection, Ecotec developed the Gazoscan Mini in response to demand from midstream customers for a proactive solution that can be deployed by every operator across their sites. The Gazoscan Mini is compact and lightweight, enabling field workers to carry it easily throughout their shifts. It's powerful enough to detect methane at distances of up to 15 meters, allowing workers to identify potential leaks from a safe distance. This enables frequent inspections, such as daily spot checks, to support and inform quarterly or annual leak detection cycles. 'With the Gazoscan Mini, our industry now has the ability to deploy laser methane detection in the hands of every operator,' says Kyle Jantzen, VP of Business Development, New Products, at Archrock. 'And the move towards an operational approach to leak detection provides a safer and more efficient environment.' By making methane detection part of daily workflows, the device is designed to help reduce gas loss and minimize downtime by allowing earlier identification of leaks. Product development has taken place at Ecotec's headquarters in Colton, CA, where the instruments are manufactured, with much of the testing being carried out at operational sites in Texas. The Gazoscan Mini is certified as intrinsically safe and has been tested for use in tough environments. Ecotec has provided rugged gas analysis instruments and data management to landfill and biogas sectors for 40 years, with subsidiaries in Europe and South America offering global supply and support to a range of sectors. The company's methane monitoring credentials are now established in the oil and gas industry, where leaking methane represents a lost product, as well as a safety and environmental risk. Al-Nassr could hand Manchester United huge transfer windfall

Manchester United could benefit after Al-Nassr have made an enquiry into the availability of Marseille forward Mason Greenwood. The Saudi Pro League side have made an approach to sign Greenwood, who scored 21 league goals last season to fire Marseille to Champions League qualification and finish as the joint-leading scorer in Ligue 1. Greenwood joined Marseille from Manchester United in a £26.7m deal last summer. The forward had not featured for the Red Devils since being arrested on 30 January 2022 on suspicion of rape. The charges were later dropped, citing the withdrawal of key witnesses and 'new material that came to light'. However, a decision was made to sell the striker with the club stating 'difficulties with him recommencing his career' with United. United included a 50% sell-on clause in that deal and will be entitle to a large share of any further transfer. Journalist Ben Jacobs has confirmed that Marseille do not want to sell Greenwood, but Al-Nassr are weighing up a big offer. Read – See more – Follow The Football Faithful on Social Media: | | | |
