The 42-year-old wrote and starred in BBC hit comedy Scot Squad and is due to begin a one-woman Edinburgh Fringe comedy show next week.
Italian firm Leonardo's supplies defence and security gear to the Ministry of Defence, including military technology which has been sent to Israel.
Riddell, Allegra Fitzherbert, 34, from London, and Naomi Stubbs-Gorman, 31, from Glasgow, are accused of allegedly committing malicious mischief aggravated by having a terrorist connection.
The comedian is also facing a charge of dangerous driving aggravated by reason of having a terrorist connection under the Road Traffic Act 1988 Section 2.
All three accused made no plea and the case was committed for further examination.
Riddell and Fitzherbert were released on bail and no date has yet been set down for their next court appearance.
But Stubbs-Gorman will have to return to court on Wednesday after her bail application was continued for 24 hours.
Around 100 protestors and members of Edinburgh Action for Palestine were present outside the city centre court building to show support for the three accused.
Riddell's appearances include ITV's Jonathan Ross Comedy Club, BBC Comedy Underground and BBC Queen of the New Year as well as being a regular panellist on BBC Breaking the News.
She has also provided tour support for stand-ups Ardal O'Hanlon and Fern Brady.

On Saturday, two men, aged 78 and 60, were arrested during a protest, where the two allegedly showed support for a proscribed organisation.
The three were arrested in connection with the Terrorism Act 2000.

Notorious crime clan boss Big Mags Haney at centre of new documentary investigation

A heroin dealing grandmother once dubbed the neighbour from hell is to feature in a new six part BBC podcast. The female head of a notorious Scottish crime clan first exposed by the Daily Record is to be probed in a new documentary series. ‌ Mother of eleven Mags Haney - once branded the neighbour from hell - was responsible for a crime wave on the poverty stricken Raploch estate in Stirling which brought misery to local residents. ‌ The chain-smoking granny first attracted public attention for an anti-paedophile crusade. In reality she was peddling large sums of heroin using members of her own family including her children. ‌ Eventually local people stood up to her and she and family members were thrown out of Raploch following mass protests. A six-part BBC Scotland podcast series - The Ballad of Big Mags - will explore the life and times of a controversial figure who rose to prominence in the 1990's. Haney's own convictions stretched back to 1975 and included assault, contempt of court, breach of the peace and fraud. ‌ In 1995, Sheriff Norrie Stein branded the Haney's the "family from hell" and said they blighted lives in the area. At the time Haney admitted her children had made hundreds of court appearances between them, adding: "My kids have been brought up in the jungle." Haney had initially put herself forward as a self-styled vigilante against the threat of child abusers, leading a lynch mob after a paedophile was housed in the estate. ‌ She even appeared on the Kilroy TV show to talk about protecting youngsters from sex offenders and revelled in her mini-celebrity status. In 2000, the Record set up a Shop-A-Dealer hotline asking readers to identify drug pushers in their local area. ‌ As the calls came in, Haney was named as Stirling 's No1 drug dealer, selling up to 600 "tenner bags" of heroin every week while living off benefits of £1200 a month. She used her council home as a supply base and even sold drugs in front of her grandchildren. Haney used to sit in a big chair which was known to visitors as her "throne". ‌ The Daily Record's team managed to purchase two £10 heroin deals from Haney and passed a dossier of evidence to police. At her trial in 2003, Haney admitted running a £250,000-a-year drugs operation using a network of delivery runners, including her own children, grandchildren and nieces. She never returned to Stirling and was instead housed in Alva, Clackmannanshire before dying from cancer in 2013 aged 70. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Watch Love Island feud erupt as villa girl shouts ‘shut the f*** up!' at rival in savage Grafties fallout

Tonight's episode will see the fall out following the Grafties, with Harry being confronted by several islanders. And things continue along the same path, with tense words exchanged after brutally honest clips play out on screen. This evening will see a furious Toni shout at Blu, as he questions her behaviour. A clip is replayed of Cach crying on the terrace and being comforted by Ty, after Toni recoupled with Harrison in recent weeks. Now, Cach and Toni's romantic spark has been reignited, but that didn't stop Blu from shouting over to Toni: 'How do you feel about that, Toni?' Toni coldly replies: 'Everyone knows how I feel about it.' She also says: 'Now do you see how you make people feel,' referring to a clip they showed of her best pal in the villa, Shakira, crying. But Blu shoots right back: 'Did you see what you did to Cach?' Toni has none of it, as she fires back: 'Shut the f*** up. Talk about situations that you've been here for.' Love Island fans claim desperate Harry is 'picking fight' with Helena in a bid to hook up with her villa rival The comments have been flooded by fans slamming Blu for piping up, with one person writing: 'Blu is trying so hard to be relevant 6 weeks later and get some air time.' Another penned: 'Blu give it a rest please you ain't it,' and a third echoed: 'Blu trying so hard to be iconic now that he knows what the public thinks. Get him out.' The Grafties have caused fiery exchanges between the Islanders, as they've witnessed conversations play out on screen that they had no idea about. Harry's actions in particular have been exposed, much to the shock of Helena. And according to viewers, footballer Harry picked a fight with Helena on purpose and used the information received during The Grafties as a way out. Fans watched last night as an angry Harry accused Helena of playing games and not being 'all about him' when she returned to the villa after the Sleepover. A bemused Helena argued it was 'weeks ago' and was not the same as him flirting outrageously with a number of girls, most recently Angel. Harry was seen becoming riled by Helena's previous behaviour - although they weren't even together at the time. Viewers have now clocked Harry's escape plan - so he can go back to ex Shakira - who he was previously coupled up. Harry barked during their heated chat at The Grafties: "I thought you were all for me when you came back?" Toni noted: "He's just trying to pick a fight with her." Conor agreed: "That's crazy behaviour." The official Love Island Instagram account asked fans: "Is Harry picking fights or bringing up fair points?" Users commented: "Picking fights as an excuse to crawl back to Shakira and blame Helena." A second predicted: "When you wish to end a relationship, you find every little thing about the other person irritating, and that is what Harry is trying to do." A third agreed: "Harry has some cheek after all he has said and done - that was pure excuse to slip off from Helena on to Shakira." "Welcome to Harry's Gas Lighting class, please take your seats," mocked another. "He's trying to start something just to start something," mused a fan. 4 Harry's actions in particular have been exposed Credit: ITV

Bafta-nominated actor Micheal Ward charged with rape and sexual assault

The 27-year-old, who has starred in Blue Story and Top Boy, said 'I deny the charges against me entirely' and said he had co-operated with police fully throughout their investigation. Ward is accused of offences against one woman in January 2023, the Metropolitan Police said. The force said he is charged with two counts of rape and three counts of sexual assault. Ward, of Cheshunt, Hertfordshire, will appear at Thames Magistrates' Court on August 28, the Crown Prosecution Service said. In a statement issued after the charges were announced, Ward said: 'I deny the charges against me entirely. 'I have co-operated fully with the police throughout their investigation and will continue to co-operate. 'I recognise that proceedings are now ongoing, and I have full faith that they will lead to my name being cleared. 'Given those proceedings, I am unable to comment further.' Following the charges, Detective Superintendent Scott Ware said: 'Our specialist officers continue to support the woman who has come forward – we know investigations of this nature can have significant impact on those who make reports.' The Jamaican-born actor was awarded the Bafta Rising Star honour in 2020 and was nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Bafta for his role in BBC's Small Axe in 2021 and the 2022 film Empire Of Light. Ward, who has 1.2 million followers on Instagram, played in the Soccer Aid match at Stamford Bridge last year and gave a reading at the Christmas Eve carol service hosted by the Princess of Wales in 2023. He is due to star in the American film Eddington alongside Joaquin Phoenix and Pedro Pascal, which is due to be released in the UK next month.
