Ritik Tada, standout performer at MP T20 League who idolises Pandya and Kohli, impresses IPL scout
So far, Tada has been one of the standout performers in the tournament, scoring 173 runs at a staggering strike rate of 216.25. Batting at No. 6, he has hammered 13 sixes and 14 fours off just 80 balls, finding a boundary nearly every three deliveries.
After a slow start with scores of 8 and 1, Tada has bounced back in style. He struck an unbeaten 45 off 22 balls and 44 off 19 in successive wins for the Jabalpur Royal Lions. In a chase of 247, he smashed 75 off 30 balls; however, his team fell short by 19 runs.

'I have developed my finishing skills through practice,' Tada told Sportstar. 'I watch a lot of IPL and closely follow finishers, especially Hardik Pandya and Virat Kohli, to understand what they do in certain situations and try to apply it in my game.'
'I plan my shots in the death overs based on the situation, the pitch, and who's bowling,' he added.
Hailing from the Sehora district in Bhopal, Tada began his training in Indore at the Laxman Singh Gaur Cricket Academy under coach Sachin Dholpure. 'He taught me all the basics of cricket,' said the 22-year-old.
Once he had perfected his fundamentals, Tada began playing in the Bhopal division and joined the Faith Cricket Club under former India international Jay Prakash Yadav. 'He has helped me a lot. I have spoken to him recently, and I have applied his inputs to my game.'
Though yet to break into the Madhya Pradesh team, Tada remains unfazed by the presence of State selectors and IPL scouts in the stands.
'Rather than trying to impress anyone, I focus on doing well. If I perform, those watching will automatically notice it. I don't try to show off, I just try to do my job for the team.'
His long-term goal is clear: to play for India. But in the near future, Tada hopes to earn a place in the MP squad and an IPL contract.
'I don't expect myself to do something extraordinary. My aim is simple: help the team win when I get the chance. I don't just want to make an impact; I want to finish games. That's how I'll approach every game going forward as well.'

RCB Star Yash Dayal Booked For Rape With A 17-Year-Old Minor During IPL 2025 In Jaipur
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) pacer Yash Dayal appears to be embroiled in a new controversy, as the IPL 2025 winner has now been booked for rape in Jaipur. Shocking details have emerged concerning Dayal's alleged sexual involvement with a 17-year-old minor during IPL 2025. Prior to this incident, Yash Dayal had already been facing legal proceedings for a sexual assault case, where a woman from Ghaziabad had accused the Royal Challengers Bangalore pacer of similar criminal activity. Allegations by a Minor in Jaipur The Allahabad High Court had previously issued a stay order on Dayal's police custody in the Ghaziabad case, based on recent proceedings. However, this new case in Jaipur presents a significant risk for the RCB player, as it involves a minor girl aged 17 accusing him of rape. According to a report by Dainik Bhaskar, An FIR was lodged against Yash Dayal at the Sanganer Sadar Police Station in Jaipur, based on allegations of rape by a minor victim. According to the report, Yash allegedly promised the young girl a promising future in professional cricket and exploited her for a period of two years. IPL 2025 Connection Anil Jaiman, the Station House Officer (SHO) of the Sanganer Sadar Police Station, stated that the victim came into contact with Yash through cricket. It is alleged that approximately two years ago, when the victim was a minor, Yash repeatedly raped her over a two-year period under the guise of helping her build a cricket career. The report also mentions the IPL 2025 connection. As per the Jaipur Police, Yash Dayal, while in Jaipur for an RR vs RCB match, allegedly summoned the victim to a hotel near the Sitapura area and raped her again. After a prolonged period of silence, emotional blackmail, and physical and mental harassment, the victim finally registered an official complaint on July 23, 2025. The Jaipur Police further informed that since the first reported incident of rape occurred when the victim was a 17-year-old minor, a case has been registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO Act 2012). If found guilty, Yash could face severe consequences, as cases under the POCSO Act are tried rigorously, and the punishment can include lengthy imprisonment. Yash Dayal was a member of the Royal Challengers Bangalore team that secured their first-ever IPL title. RCB clinched the championship by defeating PBKS on June 3.

RCB, Karnataka cricket body to face action for stampede
BENGALURU: The Siddaramaiah cabinet decided on Thursday to initiate legal action based on retired HC judge John Michael D'Cunha's report indicting IPL franchise RCB, Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) and event management firm DNA Entertainment Networks for the June 4 stampede outside Bengaluru's Chinnaswamy Stadium in which 11 cricket fans died and over 50 others were injured. "Action against (suspended) government officials depends on the outcome of the departmental inquiry," law and parliamentary affairs minister H K Patil said after the cabinet meeting in which the inquiry report was formally accepted. DNA Entertainment immediately filed a petition in Karnataka HC, asking for the inquiry commission's report to be quashed on grounds of alleged procedural lapses and bias. CM Siddaramaiah suspended ex-Bengaluru police chief B Dayananda and four other senior cops on charges of crowd-management lapses, while fending off allegations that his govt was just as reponsible for clearing a victory parade for IPL champions RCB even before the final in Ahmedabad got over on June 3. The Central Administrative Tribunal has since stayed the suspensions. DNA's petition alleges that the report was submitted in "undue haste", ignoring "critical documentation" demonstrating the firm's efforts to manage the event inside the stadium. It argues that an event management company can't be held liable for crowd mismanagement outside the venue, which is under the government's jurisdiction. The firm has also flagged simultaneous inquiries in alleged violation of Article 20(2) of the Constitution, which prohibits multiple proceedings for the same offence. HC had taken suo motu cognizance of the stampede deaths and sought a report from the state government, following which the commission of inquiry was announced. A parallel CID investigation and a magisterial inquiry led by the deputy commissioner (Bengaluru urban) are underway. The D'Cunha commission named KSCA president Raghuram Bhat, former secretary A Shankar, ex-treasurer ES Jayaram, RCB vice-president Rajesh Menon, DNA managing director T Venkatavardhan and vice-president Sunil Mathur, among others, as responsible for the stampede.
