IDFC First Bank Ltd spurts 0.36%, gains for fifth straight session
IDFC First Bank Ltd gained for a fifth straight session today. The stock is quoting at Rs 77.53, up 0.36% on the day as on 12:44 IST on the NSE. The benchmark NIFTY is up around 0.26% on the day, quoting at 25518.4. The Sensex is at 83618.54, up 0.25%. IDFC First Bank Ltd has gained around 14.88% in last one month.
Meanwhile, Nifty Bank index of which IDFC First Bank Ltd is a constituent, has gained around 2.39% in last one month and is currently quoting at 56999.2, up 0.02% on the day. The volume in the stock stood at 199.99 lakh shares today, compared to the daily average of 354.32 lakh shares in last one month.
The benchmark July futures contract for the stock is quoting at Rs 77.8, up 0.37% on the day. IDFC First Bank Ltd is down 4.48% in last one year as compared to a 5% jump in NIFTY and a 7.35% jump in the Nifty Bank index.
The PE of the stock is 37.13 based on TTM earnings ending March 25.

Tajbagh beautification: Phase 1 completed, NMRDA awaits Rs 95.87 crore for phase 2
1 2 Nagpur: The Nagpur Metropolitan Region Development Authority (NMRDA) has almost completed the Rs 132.49 crore phase 1 of the Tajbagh renovation and beautification project and is now awaiting Rs 95.87 crore to start phase 2 of the project. Under the first phase, NMRDA strengthened and beautified the main dargah, constructed a shopping complex, a choti dargah, shops, and other structures, including marble flooring. According to NMRDA sources, Phase 1 of the project received Rs 132.49 crore administrative approval, out of which the agency received Rs 128.95 crore, while Rs 3.54 crore is pending. Out of the received funds, NIT spent Rs 127.50 crore and almost completed the works, with some work on the shopping complex and sandal room still pending. "Excluding the works on the encroached land, all other development works have been completed and handed over to the Hazrat Baba Tajuddin Trust. The inauguration of the project took place in November 2022. Subsequently, encroachment on the project land was removed, and the Hazrat Baba Tajuddin Trust made the land available. Accordingly, a tender for the remaining work was floated, and a work order for Rs 5.49 crore was issued to the contractor in October 2023. The deadline for completion of the work is set for March 2025, but it is still under way," said NMRDA sources. The proposal for the approval of the Detailed Project Report (DPR) Phase 2, worth Rs 224 crore, was submitted to the planning department in December 2022. NIT sources said that the proposal was approved in the district-level committee meeting held in March 2024. It was then forwarded to the govt for a final approval. The high-powered committee, in its meeting in March 2025, approved the revised proposal amounting to Rs 95.18 crore, which includes 18% Goods and Services Tax (GST) on the Rs 66.58 crore plan, along with 25% for other related components. NIT sources said that several components from the earlier proposal were dropped, including the entry gate on Umred Road, shopping complex, auditorium, e-library, housing scheme, and others. "Some of the important works approved included a boundary wall around the trust's 84-acre land, toilets, and decoration of the wall near the main Dargah, which will be done in the second phase after receiving funds from the govt," said sources.

After Nagpur, Ranchi to get AC electric buses soon: Union min
1 2 3 Ranchi: The long awaited Ratu road flyover was inaugurated by Union minister of road transport and highways Nitin Gadkari on Thursday. The 4.18 km long, four-lane project has been built at a cost of Rs 560 crore. Once opened for traffic movement, the flyover will boost the city traffic by doing away with the perennial traffic congestion at Ratu road. Besides inaugurating the flyover, Gadkari also laid the foundation stone for two new flyover projects at the OTC ground in the evening. Various MPs, state transport minister Deepak Birua among others were present on the occasion. Calling the newly opened flyover a symbol of the city's rapid urban development, Gadkari assured continued support from the Centre for fulfilling key regional demands. Responding positively to local MP and union minister of state for defence, Sanjay Seth's four-point demand, Gadkari made a slew of announcements focused on connectivity, culture, clean transport, and agriculture. Seth highlighted the need for an Outer Ring Road to decongest Ranchi further, which Gadkari approved in principle. "We have granted permission for preparing the detailed project report (DPR) for a Rs 6,000 crore Outer Ring Road project. Once ready, work will begin on priority," Gadkari announced. Gadkari also asked Seth to send a proposal for beautification of the flyover using local art forms. Seth also demanded the widening of the Ranchi-Angada-Silli-Muri road, which the minister assured would be considered under future expansion plans. Gadkari also announced that Ranchi could be the second city after Nagpur to run AC electric flash line buses in future if all goes well, promising a 30% reduction in air pollution compared to diesel-run public transport. He however did not elaborate further on the project. The Ratu road flyover, which begins near Naga Baba Khatal, descends towards Itki Road on one side and OTC Ground on the other. Built by the National Highway Authority of India, construction for the project started in 2022.
