'I can't believe it,' Sandler told Entertainment Tonight. Recalling his time on the show, where he played Smitty alongside Warner's Theodore Huxtable, Sandler shared fond memories of the actor's kindness. 'Malcolm was so nice to me when I was on the show, and we had such good times together,' he said.
Sandler, now 58, remembered both actors being in their late teens during filming. He spoke of weekend hangouts, basketball games, walks, and parties—moments that built a lasting friendship. He also praised Warner's mother and expressed deep condolences to Warner's wife and daughter. 'Malcolm was a great person—hilarious, smart, and truly meant a lot to America.'
Warner died during a family vacation in Costa Rica after being caught in a strong rip current at Playa Grande beach, where no lifeguard was on duty, according to a source who confirmed the news to PEOPLE. The actor is survived by his wife and daughter, whose identities have been kept private.
Best known for his iconic role as Theo Huxtable on The Cosby Show from 1984 to 1992, Warner remained proud of the series and the bond it fostered among its cast. 'We share a unique experience that keeps us lovingly bonded,' he said in a 2023 interview with PEOPLE.
Warner also starred in Malcolm & Eddie and Reed Between the Lines, continuing a successful television career beyond his breakout role.

NFL star Travis Kelce just made his relationship with Taylor Swift even more official by sharing a personal Instagram post filled with never-before-seen photos of the couple's private life together. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end uploaded a carousel of intimate snapshots capturing their time spent during his offseason, writing, 'Had some adventures this offseason, kept it.' The images show Swift and Kelce enjoying cozy moments together, including ski trips and sun-drenched vacations, giving fans a rare glimpse into their typically low-profile romance. This is the first time Kelce has posted private photos of the pop superstar, marking a major public milestone for the couple, who began dating in 2023. According to a source speaking to People, the relationship has hit a new stride. 'They're incredibly happy and in sync,' the insider shared. 'This kind of downtime is rare for both of them, and it's really allowed their bond to deepen.' Swift and Kelce reportedly split their time between Nashville, New York, and quiet vacation spots, including Big Sky, Montana. Vanessa Kirby says playing Sue Storm in 'Fantastic Four' prepared her for motherhood before first baby

Vanessa Kirby has shared how playing Sue Storm in The Fantastic Four: The First Steps prepared her for motherhood as she expects her first baby. Speaking with People, Kirby reflected on her character, saying, 'Sue was never sat down. She was never huffing and puffing about it.' She noted that the character is expecting a baby in the new Marvel Studios film while facing the threat of Galactus. 'It didn't define who she was,' Kirby said. 'She was absolutely a mother, and of course, in the comics, that's so definitively her. But she's also been a team member that defends, that goes up against great threats.' Kirby added, 'I literally had the lived experience of somebody who was doing this incredibly sacred thing and fulfilling what she needed to do at the same time as a woman and a team member, and that changed me.' Set in retro-futuristic 1960s, the film features Kirby alongside Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm. The team faces the Silver Surfer, played by Julia Garner, and the planet-eating Galactus. Kirby announced her pregnancy in May. She is currently in a relationship with retired lacrosse player Paul Rabil. The Fantastic Four: The First Steps is scheduled for release on July 24.
