The Juventus F.C. soccer club were at the White House on Wednesday ahead of their FIFA Club World Cup match that night and it was an awkward experience for the USMNT star who was part of the trip.

Juventus and USMNT winger Tim Weah spoke to the media today and had a mixed reaction to the visit to see President Donald Trump. He said that he was given no choice but to go and felt that the whole thing was "a bit weird." Weah said that while it was "a cool experience" to go to the White House, President Trump made it uncomfortable by talking about politics while he was there.
"It was all a surprise to me, honestly — they told us that we have to go and I had no choice but to go so I showed up," Weah said.
"I guess it was a cool experience being in the White House for the first time. It's always wonderful but I'm not one for politics so it wasn't that exciting.
"I was caught by surprise, honestly. It was a bit weird. When he started talking about the politics with Iran and everything, it's kind of like, I just want to play football, man."
It certainly appeared to be awkward for most, if not all, of the players there beside Weah at the White House. Everyone simply stood awkwardly behind President Trump in the Oval Office as the President fielded questions and spoke about everything from ongoing armed conflicts to his political enemies.

"Bad publicity for the team. How could anyone think this is good for the team and the name of Juventus to get caught in politics," one user remarked on X.
"How the (expletive) is this happening lol? Juventus, from Italy, in the background answering these questions lol."
"You know how random it is to answer military stance questions with an Italian football team just standing behind lmao why are they there???"
It was weird for everyone, not just Weah and not just the players.
Well, maybe not for President Trump.

Supreme Court to consider reviving lawsuit restricting evangelizing in small Mississippi town
WASHINGTON (AP) — The Supreme Court said Thursday it will consider whether to revive a lawsuit from a man barred from evangelizing outside a small-town Mississippi amphitheater after authorities say he shouted insults at people over a loudspeaker. Gabriel Olivier, an evangelical Christian, says restricting him from public property violated his religious and free speech rights, but a legal Catch-22 has barred him from challenging the law in court. Lower courts found he couldn't file a civil-rights lawsuit because he'd been arrested, and instead needed to file under habeas corpus, a legal remedy open to prisoners. But because he was ticketed rather than imprisoned, his lawyers say that option wasn't open either, effectively denying him a day in court. The city of Brandon, Mississippi, on the other hand, says the restrictions aren't about religious speech, but rather about limiting disturbances caused when he and his group yelled insults like 'Jezebel,' 'nasty,' and 'drunkards" at people passing by. The ordinance restricts demonstrations near the amphitheater but does allow him to preach from a designated 'protest zone," and has already survived another lawsuit, the city said. The city says the case is about Olivier and his group's 'desire to have their preferred method of protest, without regard for the rights or interests of anyone else.' Olivier's attorneys say he was engaging in respectful and protected speech at the time of his arrest, and the case centers on a key legal issue affecting free speech across the political spectrum. 'Every American has First Amendment rights to free speech; and every American has a right to their day in court,' said Kelly Shackelford, president and CEO for First Liberty Institute, which is representing him along with attorney Allyson Ho of the firm Gibson Dunn. 'Both of these rights were violated for Gabe Olivier. The Supreme Court will now decide whether those rights will be protected for all Americans.' The court is expected to hear arguments in the fall.

The Box Bob Is The Ultimate Cool-Girl Hairstyle For Summer
You'd be hard-pressed to find a haircut more classic (or more coveted) than the striking 'box bob.' Worn by modern beauty icons like Lily Collins and Gracie Abrams, and historically by A-listers such as Hailey Bieber and Victoria Beckham, this sharp, even cut is the ultimate blunt hairstyle. You might even argue that it's the most popular bob shape of all time. Looking for a major summer hair transformation? Here, experts break down the allure of the timeless 'box bob', including how to cut and style it for 2025 - and, whether its bold, graphic nature will actually suit your face shape. Simple, one-length, and perfectly levelled, the box bob is entirely unlayered and strikingly sharp. In short, it's the epitome of a statement, power haircut. No subtle entrance here. 'The box bob is typically chin-length or slightly below. It's cut with no layering and no elevation, which gives it that strong, geometric, boxy shape,' explains hair cutting specialist, Vivienne Johns. 'The silhouette is clean and sharp, and it really helps define the jawline. If you're struggling for inspiration, take a look at the iconic crops of Lily Collins, Kelly Rowland and Rosamund Pike, who've both sported a similarly crisp looking 'do in recent years. While the style is mostly kept pin-straight to emphasise its razor-sharp length, it can also be paired with a subtle wave, as often seen on Gracie Abrams and Halle Berry. As with any bob haircut, the reality is that not every style will suit every face shape or hair texture. 'It's great for anyone who wants to show off a long neck or enhance a sharp jaw, and it's low-maintenance in terms of styling,' says Johns. 'However, it does require regular cutting to maintain its shape. I'd recommend getting it trimmed every four to six weeks to keep it looking fresh. The box bob is definitely not a one-size-fits-all haircut and works best on fine, straight hair.' If the idea of finer, thinner lengths speaks to you, here's why the cut is so effective. 'For someone with finer hair, it's great because it creates the illusion of thickness, it just looks healthier when it's blunt, rather than wispy,' says expert hairdresser Holly Fairley. 'If the hair is thicker or curly, it can give more of a triangular shape; by this I mean flatter at the top, heavier at the bottom. If someone with that hair type still wants the look, I'd just add some texture through the ends to soften it out.' When it comes to finishing your bob each day, a quality hair straightener is essential for achieving the bluntest possible finish. Alternatively, a traditional round brush technique will add body without texture. 'Styling-wise, a Denman brush is ideal,' says Johns. 'You don't want too much of a curl underneath - the goal is a glassy, sleek finish. A lightweight oil or serum works beautifully. That said, it's also highly versatile. Add a dry texture spray, and you can transform it from polished to a more undone, messy look in seconds. If you have a lot of texture or wave, you'll likely need to straighten it to achieve that sharp, boxy appearance.' ELLE Collective is a new community of fashion, beauty and culture lovers. Nationals place pitcher Trevor Williams on the injured list with an elbow sprain
WASHINGTON (AP) — The Washington Nationals placed starter Trevor Williams on the 15-day injured list with a right elbow sprain Friday, two days after the veteran right-hander gave up a season-high seven runs in an 11-2 loss to Detroit. Williams is 3-10 with a 6.21 ERA in 17 starts this season and is tied for second in the National League in losses. He agreed to a two-year, $14 million deal after going 6-1 with a 2.03 ERA last year despite being limited to 13 starts because of strained muscle in his throwing arm. Washington recalled right-hander Ryan Loutos from Triple-A Rochester, a day after demoting him. Loutos is 1-0 with a 13.50 ERA in eight games with the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Nationals this season. The Nationals also activated catcher Keibert Ruiz from the injured list and optioned catcher Drew Millas to Rochester. Ruiz had been sidelined with a concussion after getting hit by a foul ball on June 23. Millas hit .143 with an RBI in three games. ___ AP MLB:
