Kuwait shines in tent pegging with two medals at GCC Beach Games
Rider Abdullah Al-Daihani clinched the silver medal in the individual saber competition, while the Kuwaiti national team earned the bronze medal in the team saber event following a strong overall performance.
The tent pegging competitions featured individual, pair, and team saber events. The final day saw intense contests in the 'ring and lemon' challenges, as well as saber and javelin relay events.
The Kuwaiti tent pegging squad includes riders Hussein Al-Ajmi, Abdullah Al-Hindi, Ibrahim Al-Enezi, Abdullah Al-Daihani, and Ghannam Al-Ajmi, led by coach Rashid Al-Marri and assistant Ali Al-Bin Ali.
With these results, Kuwait's medal count at the GCC Beach Games has reached six medals:

Kuwait's Special Olympics team gears up for first MENA equestrian competition
KUWAIT CITY, July 1: The Kuwaiti Special Olympics delegation is set to participate in the first regional equestrian competition organized by Special Olympics Middle East and North Africa. The event, hosted in Al Ain from August 24 to 28, is organized by the Special Olympics UAE in collaboration with the regional body, under the patronage of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, and hosted by the Abu Dhabi Police General Command's Special Patrols Department within the Criminal Security Sector. Athletes from ten Arab countries will take part in this significant regional event, representing their respective Special Olympics programs. Hana Al-Zawawi, President of Special Olympics Kuwait and head of the Kuwaiti delegation, confirmed that three riders will represent Kuwait: Basma Al-Busaili, Maryam Diab, and Abdullah Al-Ali. Al-Zawawi highlighted Kuwait's progress in building a strong foundation in equestrian sports, noting the international and regional successes of its athletes. Rider Basma Al-Busaili earned three silver medals at the Special Olympics World Games in Berlin. In comparison, Abdullah Al-Ali secured two gold medals at the 2023 Special Olympics National Games in Egypt. Salmiya bag bronze after beating Kazma in high-tempo third-place match KUWAIT: In a thrilling end to the local handball season, Kuwait SC snatched a dramatic 30-29 victory over Qadsiya in the final of the 2024–2025 Kuwait Handball Federation Cup, claiming the title for the 15th time in its history — and for the 12th consecutive season. The final showdown, held at Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Indoor Sports Hall, drew a packed crowd and delivered action from the very first seconds. Both teams came out strong, exchanging goals rapidly and matching each other's energy, leaving the first half deadlocked at 18-18. The second half started off tight, with neither team able to break the silence for six full minutes — a testament to the intensity of the match. Qadsiya finally found the net, sparking a fresh wave of goals from both sides. But as the clock ticked down to the final second, Kuwait edged ahead by a single goal to seal the title. 'This win didn't come out of nowhere,' said Kuwait SC Chairman Khaled Al-Ghanim after the match.
