Pepe Coin Price Prediction: PEPE Will Zoom Past Shiba Inu (SHIB), But Not Before This Faster Rising Meme Coin Does It

The Wire3 days ago
The cryptocurrency market continues to witness rapid developments in the meme coin segment. Pepe (PEPE) remains a prominent name in the space with a substantial market capitalization and wide holder base, but a newer entrant named Little Pepe (LILPEPE) is gaining momentum through a structured presale and utility-driven framework. Current market data and trends suggest PEPE could outperform Shiba Inu (SHIB) in the future. However, Little Pepe's early growth trajectory positions it as a faster-moving contender in the short term.
PEPE Maintains Market Presence Amid Declining Volume Pepe (PEPE) recorded a slight price dip of 2% over the past 24 hours and it is trading at approximately $0.000009078. With a market capitalization of $3.81 billion and a nearly maxed-out token supply of 420.68 trillion PEPE the token remains among the top-tier meme coins in circulation. The market cap currently mirrors its fully diluted valuation, indicating minimal inflation risk from future token releases.
Despite its established presence, PEPE has seen a notable reduction in trading activity. The 24-hour trading volume declined by over 26% to $536 million. The intraday chart highlighted significant volatility, with early morning fluctuations causing a brief spike followed by a downturn and partial recovery. The coin continues to attract investor interest, with the number of holders nearing 455,000 and a profile completeness score indicating moderate transparency. As SHIB's market capitalisation remains slightly higher, PEPE's steady holder growth and market liquidity place it in a favourable position to eventually challenge and surpass SHIB's market cap. However, any such movement is expected to be gradual, contingent on broader market conditions and continued community engagement.
Little Pepe Accelerates Growth During Active Presale Little Pepe (LILPEPE), currently in its fourth presale stage, has raised over $2.58 million toward a $4.475 million target. Priced at $0.0013 per token in the current stage, LILPEPE has sold over 2.29 billion tokens out of the 3.75 billion allocated for this round. The presale activity has been supported by a recent decline in Ethereum (ETH) gas fees, which has helped reduce transaction costs for contributors.
Unlike the classic meme coins, Little Pepe provides a utility-related model that is backed by a specific Ethereum-compatible Layer-2 network. The system uses the rollup technology to support scalable, low-cost transactions. The project will unite meme branding and actual usability throughout its ecosystem.
The LILPEPE tokenomics are long-term, with 26.5% of the supply going to the presale, 30% to ecosystem reserves, and 13.5% to staking rewards. The features of the presale include a zero trading tax and the security provided against a sniper bot, where the contributions can be made through ETH or USDT or debit/credit cards. There is also a ludicrous amount of $777K giveaway campaign that is geared towards raising community activities and social sensitivities.
Outlook: Emerging Competition in the Meme Coin Market Although the market cap and community of Pepe (PEPE) are quite persistent, Little Pepe is a new and highly traction project with a changing ecosystem and well-defined roadmap. As its ongoing presale continues and its infrastructure strategy becomes more concentrated, LILPEPE could be in a better spot in terms of short-term advancement than PEPE, which is in an ideal situation to surpass SHIB eventually. It is also apparent that these two tokens are at different stages of growth, and at this point in the market, newer utility-driven meme coins might start affecting the general pecking order within the subgroup.

The great Bitcoin power shift has large holders dumping 5,00,000 coins

A massive power shift is underway in the Bitcoin market, with long-time whales offloading over 500,000 coins even as institutions like ETFs and corporates snap them up. This transition is recasting Bitcoin from a high-risk trade to a slower, more stable investment allocation, with volatility at two-year lows. Tired of too many ads? Remove Ads A silent transfer of control is reshaping the $2.1 trillion Bitcoin market.A steady stream of sales by long-time whales — miners, offshore funds and anonymous wallets — is being met almost one-for-one by demand from institutional players like ETFs, corporates and asset managers. The result: Bitcoin is struggling to break out of its record high around $110,000, volatility is evaporating, and its place in the investment landscape is being a flurry of bullish headlines — from corporate treasuries embracing Bitcoin to the Trump administration's full-throated crypto endorsement — the largest digital currency has remained stuck in its trading range for months. Underneath the surface, long-dormant whales have been trimming positions just as institutions ramp up their buying. And this switchover is gradually recasting Bitcoin's identity from a high-octane trade to a slow-burn the past year, large holders, or Bitcoin whales, have offloaded more than 500,000 Bitcoin — worth over $50 billion at current prices — according to data compiled by 10x Research. That's roughly equal to the net inflows into the wildly successful US exchange-traded funds since their approval. And it's not far off from the $65 billion amassed over the past five years by crypto treasury pioneer Michael Saylor and his firm, now known as of these whales trace back to Bitcoin's earliest cycles, when it traded far below current levels. In some cases, whales aren't simply selling, they're swapping tokens for deals tied to the stock market, bypassing the open market.'What we're seeing is a churning in the base,' said Edward Chin, co-founder of Parataxis Capital. 'A less covered driver and potential reason for the churn and increasing network activity seems to be driven by whales converting their BTC into equity exposure through in-kind contributions of BTC into financing transactions tied to the public markets.'Institutions — from ETFs and Saylor's Strategy to dozens of corporate imitators — now control about a quarter of all Bitcoin in circulation. Back in 2020, researcher Flipside Crypto estimated that about 2% of the anonymous ownership accounts that can be tracked on the cryptocurrency's blockchain controlled 95% of the digital asset. The power dynamic is shifting fast.'Crypto is becoming less of an outlier and more established as a legitimate asset class,' said Rob Strebel, head of relationship management at the trading firm DRW, which includes crypto-focused arm Cumberland. Alongside that shift, 'we expect to see a compression in volatility.'That appears to be already taking place, dampening one of the most alluring aspects of Bitcoin to many traders. A closely watched measure of price swings has declined to the lowest level in about two years, according to Deribit's BTC Volatility Index. The gauge monitors the 30-day forward-looking annualized expectations of the whales cut exposure, ETFs, treasury companies and other institutions combined have absorbed nearly 900,000 coins in the past year, according to 10x Research. These players now hold about 4.8 million coins, out of about 20 million Bitcoin in even as institutions bring stability and legitimacy to the asset class, some observers warn they're also providing the long-awaited exit ramp for whales, raising the risk that it's retail and retirement investors left holding the bag if crypto sentiment falters.'The goal for a long time has always been to make Bitcoin a palatable asset for institutional investors to provide exit liquidity in volume so the whales could cash out,' said Hilary Allen, a law professor at American University's Washington College of Law, a long-time crypto two straight years in which the price more than doubled, Bitcoin is still hovering around levels reached at the start of the year, despite President Donald Trump's pro-crypto analysts now expect Bitcoin's appreciation to be capped at 10% to 20% a year. That's a far cry from 2017's almost 1,400% surge that pushed the token into the mainstream.'Bitcoin is probably more like boring dividend stock over time,' said Jeff Dorman, chief investment officer at Arca. 'On average it goes higher every year, but by less and less amount. It becomes more of an attractive retirement asset.'Still, the picture is incomplete. Not all whale activity is visible, and Bitcoin could prove ever-volatile soon enough, especially if a new market catalyst one big risk right now is imbalance: If Bitcoin whales resume selling at scale while institutional flows plateau, the market could tip into steep declines. Outflows of just 2% in 2018 and 9% in 2022 triggered Bitcoin price drops of 74% and 64%, respectively, according to 10x Research.'We are nearing a point where the market is hitting its peak,' said Fred Thiel, chief executive officer of Bitcoin miner MARA Holdings Inc., which has yet to sell any of its Bitcoin holdings. 'My personal belief, however, is we are in a very different market dynamic today.'All told, the shift from anonymous whales to institutional allocators may help sustain the current market dynamic for an extended period.'This can go on for a long time — years,' said Markus Thielen, CEO of 10x Research. 'It's more of a slow grind, where Bitcoin becomes more of a 10%-20% asset. The nature of Bitcoin really changes.'

Punjab's cereal dominance faces grain drain

Chandigarh: While Punjab continues to be a major contributor to India's agricultural economy — particularly in cereal production—the state is gradually losing its relative share in the national output as faster-growing states like Madhya Pradesh and Telangana catch up. At the same time, neighbouring states such as Haryana and Himachal Pradesh are registering gains by diversifying into horticulture, livestock, and other allied sectors, better aligning with the emerging national trends. According to the Statistical Report on Value of Output from Agriculture and Allied Sectors (2011–12 to 2023–24), released by the ministry of statistics and programme implementation (MoSPI), Punjab's gross value of output (GVO) from cereals in 2023–24 stood at Rs 47.1 thousand crore. This keeps Punjab among the top three cereal-producing states, along with Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. However, Punjab's share in the national cereal GVO declined from 11.97% in 2011–12 to 11.01% in 2023–24, pointing to a phase of relative stagnation. By contrast, Madhya Pradesh's cereal GVO surged from Rs 20.9 thousand crore to Rs 47.1 thousand crore over the same period—more than doubling its share and catching up with Punjab. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Trade Bitcoin & Ethereum – No Wallet Needed! IC Markets Start Now Undo Haryana, another grain-centric state, posted a cereal GVO of Rs 28.1 thousand crore in 2023–24, reflecting steady output, though without a major increase in its national share. The data highlights Punjab's continued dependence on the paddy-wheat cycle. While the state's agricultural infrastructure remains strong, its horticulture, livestock, and allied sectors are comparatively underdeveloped. Nationally, agriculture is undergoing a structural shift. The share of crops in the total agricultural GVO declined from 62.4% in 2011–12 to 54.1% in 2023–24, while the contribution of the livestock sector grew from 25.6% to 31.2%. The fisheries sector also expanded, with its share rising from 4.2% to 7.0%. Livestock GVO at the national level nearly doubled, from Rs 4.88 lakh crore in 2011–12 to Rs 9.19 lakh crore in 2023–24. Punjab, however, recorded a slower growth rate in this segment. The state's livestock GVO rose from Rs 26,660.05 crore in 2011–12 to Rs 37,983.56 crore in 2023–24, an increase of 42.47%—well below the national average of 88%. The livestock GVO includes seven product categories: milk, meat, eggs, wool and hair, dung, silkworm cocoons and honey, and increment in livestock. In Punjab, milk continues to dominate, accounting for 84.52% of the state's total livestock GVO in 2023–24, up from 82.15% in 2011–12. Meat output rose modestly to Rs 3,871.67 crore in 2023–24 from Rs 2,983.35 crore in 2011–12. Eggs and other products remain marginal in contribution. In contrast, states like Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, and Maharashtra have diversified their livestock portfolios, making significant gains from poultry, meat, and fisheries. "Punjab's agrarian growth model has reached a saturation point," said Prof Ranjit Singh Ghuman, agricultural economist. "With nearly 80% of the state's geographical area already under cultivation, there's no room left to expand outward. The real challenge now is to grow smarter—by shifting away from over-dependence on paddy and wheat and incentivising diversification into high-value crops, livestock, and agro-processing. Without this structural shift, both the ecological and economic sustainability of Punjab's agriculture remain at serious risk." Cryptocurrency Live News & Updates : Polygon Surpasses Ethereum in NFT Sales

04 Jul 2025 | 11:45:12 PM IST Polygon's price has plummeted this year, nearing its lowest point, but it recently outperformed Ethereum in weekly NFT sales, indicating a potential breakout. Polygon has experienced a significant decline in price, dropping over 76% this year, yet it has recently surpassed Ethereum in weekly NFT sales, with a 52% increase to $24 million. This surge is largely attributed to the Courtyard platform. Meanwhile, Ethereum celebrates its 10th anniversary amid rising competition from blockchains like Solana and Aptos, as it focuses on enhancing interoperability and community building. In a different arena, Trump-linked World Liberty Financial is undergoing a governance vote to determine the tradability of its WLFI token, a crucial test of its decentralization commitment. Lastly, NEAR Protocol faced a 5% decline despite the launch of Bitwise's NEAR Staking ETP, which aims to boost institutional interest. As the crypto market navigates these developments, the interplay between price movements, governance decisions, and technological advancements remains pivotal. Show more
