The Jonas Brothers Are Starring In A New Christmas Movie This Year, And The Plot Is Kinda Genius If You Ask Me
And sure, I know none of us are talking about Christmas right now, but this news is too exciting not to share. So let's get into it, shall we?
Well...the rumours are true: the Jonas Brothers are gonna be starring in a new Christmas movie! No joke, it's happening!!!
This news shouldn't be TOO surprising for any of my fellow Canadians, because Joe, Nick, and Kevin have been in Toronto for quite some time now — so I guess it's safe to assume they're filming here. And as a Torontonian myself, that's gonna make the movie ten times more fun to watch.
The movie, which is currently titled "Jonas Brothers Christmas Movie," is coming to Disney+ later this year, just in time for the 2025 holiday season. Yes, the boys are going back to their Disney roots, and it's adorable.
And here's my favourite part: it's a comedy, with ORIGINAL SONGS written by Grammy-nominated writer Justin Tranter. It's also gonna be directed by Oscar winner Jessica Yu.
So, uhhh, what about the plot? According to Variety, it'll be about the Jo Bros (duh) facing "a series of escalating obstacles as they struggle to make it from London to New York in time to spend Christmas with their families." CUTE!!!

Disney+ also posted a video teasing the movie, which features Joe, Nick, and Kevin in a Love Actually -style announcement. And TBH, I forgot how funny these three are together.

Anyway, the internet is buzzed about it, as am I — because TBH, we'll probably need all the wholesome content we can get by the end of 2025.

Fubo Sees Disney, Hulu + Live TV Deal Closing Earlier Than Anticipated
Fubo has accelerated the expected timeline for closing its sale to Disney, now anticipating the transaction will close in the fourth quarter of this year or the first three months of 2026. It requires regulatory approval with a review ongoing at the Department of Justice. Fubo stockholders must also approve the deal at a meeting of shareholders, date still to come, the company said in a preliminary proxy filed with the SEC today. More from Deadline 'The Fantastic Four: First Steps' Blasts Off With $218M Global Bow; Milestones Aplenty For 'Jurassic', 'Superman', 'F1' & 'Dragon' - International Box Office 'Fantastic Four: First Steps' Lighter At $118M, But Still Super In Opening - Box Office Update 'Paradise' Creator Dan Fogelman Unveils Exclusive Season 2 Sneak Peek At Comic-Con That Introduces Shailene Woodley Previously, the close was expected in the first half of 2026. In January, Disney agreed to combine its Hulu + Live TV with Fubo and become majority owner of the combined company. The agreement was struck in the midst of a legal tussle that saw Fubo challenge a proposed sports streaming joint venture called Venu between Disney, Fox and Warner Bros. Discovery as anti-competitive. The partners delayed Venu's launch under a preliminary injunction and ultimately scrapped it and settled with Fubo after a judge denied their motion to dismiss the case. Disney and Fubo simultaneously announced their own deal to create an expanded MVPD player with 6.2 million subscribers. Fubo and Hulu + Live TV will continue to be available to consumers as separate offerings post-closing. Hulu + Live TV, will continue to be streamed in the Hulu app and be offered as part of the bundle with Hulu, Disney+ and ESPN+. Fubo will continue to operate in the Fubo app. The agreement gives Fubo the right to launch a new Sports & Broadcast service featuring Disney's sports and broadcast networks including ABC and ESPN well as ESPN+ if the deal closes or not. The new Fubo will continue to be run by current management led by CEO David Gandler. A board of directors has yet to be announced. Fubo will continue to trade on the New York Stock Exchange with the same stock symbol, FUBO. Disney will own 70% of the company. The media has had operating control of Hulu but gained full ownership in June when it completed the acquisition of Comcast's minority stake. Today's filing also included updated, combined pro forma financials for the March 2025 quarter – meaning numbers calculated as if Fubo and Hulu + Live TV were already one company. It reported total revenue of $1.56 billion ($1.12 billion Hulu + Live TV, $416 million Fubo), operating expenses of $1.64 billion, and an operating loss of $85 million. Po forma net income of $134.8 million showed a $41 million loss at Hulu + Live TV and a $188.5 million profit at Fubo, inflated by a $220 million gain that was part of the settlement with Disney, WBD and Fox. 'Avatar: Fire and Ash' first trailer reveals a dazzling return to war-torn Pandora — and it's ignited the internet
Disney has officially revealed the stunning first trailer for James Cameron's next "Avatar" film, "Avatar: Fire and Ash," which is set to hit theaters on December 19, 2025, three years after "Avatar: The Way of the Water." Footage of the trailer leaked online after it appeared exclusively in theaters alongside "The Fantastic Four: First Steps" over the weekend. Now, Disney has posted the trailer for "Avatar: Fire and Ash" online for everyone to see just how epic this threequel looks — and the internet is ablaze with hype. With glimpses at new tribes, characters, and formidable threats, the trailer delivers a powerful taste of the next sweeping and visually dazzling chapter in the Avatar saga. And it's clear that "Fire and Ash" will be the most intense entry in the series yet. You can check out the "Avatar: Fire and Ash" trailer below. The footage indicates that James Cameron hasn't strayed far from his signature storytelling style — and why would he? When a formula's already made billions at the box office, you don't mess with it. Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) and his family face their greatest foe yet in Varang (Oona Chaplin), the ferocious leader of the Mangkwan, also known as the Ash People. The Mangkwan are shown as a battle-hardened and power-hungry clan, wielding fire with precision. In the trailer, they're seen shooting fire from their fingertips, launching blazing arrows, and torching parts of the forest. Their domain is striking and unforgiving, marked by scorched earth and a massive volcano. It's a stark contrast from the aquatic homeland of the Metkayina clan we saw introduced in "Avatar: The Way of Water." In one particularly ominous moment, Varang tells a captive Kiri (Sigourney Weaver): 'Your goddess has no dominion here.' Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. As the threat of all-out war rages, for the first time, we start to see deep divisions emerge among the Na'vi. Jake Sully's family and the Metkayina will have to join forces to have any chance of stopping the Mangkwan's path of destruction. There's also the return of Colonel Miles Quaritch (Stephen Lang), now in his Avatar form, who ventures alone into Mangkwan territory and appears to side with the villains based on the red, white, and black war paint on his face In addition to Lang and Worthington, "Fire and Ash" cast members include Zoe Saldaña, Britain Dalton, Jack Champion, Trinity Jo-Li Bliss, Giovanni Ribisi, Edie Falco, Brendan Cowell, Matt Gerald, Kate Winslet, Cliff Curtis, Bailey Bass, Jemaine Clement and David Thewlis. The official description of "Fire and Ash" reads: 'Jake and Neytiri's family grapples with grief after Neteyam's death, encountering a new, aggressive Na'vi tribe, the Ash People, who are led by the fiery Varang, as the conflict on Pandora escalates and a new moral focus emerges.' "Avatar" fans are already raving about the trailer across social media. In just a few hours, the trailer has chalked up nearly 1 million views. One film critic wrote on X: 'The visuals are (somehow) on another level. There is no doubt in my mind that this WILL be the biggest movie of 2025, and 'epic' doesn't feel like it does this trailer justice.' Another critic said it was "some of the most beautiful footage I've seen all year [and I was] struck by the real sense of doom and rage — fist fights inside of cosmic volcanoes, heroes terrified, huge aerial battles.' "Avatar: Fire and Ash" will premiere in theaters on December 19, 2025. It's the third in a series of five "Avatar" movies Cameron plans to direct. At the moment, "Avatar 4" is set for December 21, 2029, and "Avatar 5" will arrive December 19, 2031. Follow Tom's Guide on Google News to get our up-to-date news, how-tos, and reviews in your feeds. WWE Star Pitches Tag Team Title Run With Major Celebrity
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. With multi-platinum rapper Cardi B set to host SummerSlam this weekend, WWE superstar Chelsea Green has a big idea for the Grammy-winning artist. In a new interview, Green pitched the idea of them forming a tag team to challenge for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships. Speaking with Josh Martinez of Z100 on the Superstar Crossover podcast, Green made her case for the dream team. She stated that the two of them together would be an unstoppable force. Chelsea G and Cardi B? In her typical, confident fashion, Chelsea Green claimed that the SummerSlam host is already a massive fan of hers. She used this as the basis for her pitch to team up and go after the current tag team champions, Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez. "I know she's a fan girl of me. She absolutely loves me, so maybe she should hop on over, and we should tag team," Green said. "I feel like maybe Chelsea G and Cardi B versus... I mean, really, anyone, but I definitely want to go for the champs, the tag champs." A Perfect Character Pitch The comments are a perfect extension of Chelsea Green's on-screen character. Since returning to WWE, she has portrayed an entitled, "Karen"-like persona who constantly complains to management and believes she is the biggest star in the women's division, despite her mixed win-loss record. Her belief that a global superstar like Cardi B "absolutely loves" her and should team with her is a delusional but hilarious example of her character's inflated ego. LAS VEGAS, NEVADA - OCTOBER 11: A WWE logo is shown on a screen before a WWE news conference at T-Mobile Arena on October 11, 2019 in Las Vegas, Nevada. It was announced that WWE wrestler Braun Strowman will face heavyweight boxer Tyson Fury and WWE champion Brock Lesnar will take on former UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez at the WWE's Crown Jewel event at Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on October 31. More Green previously found success with this persona when she teamed with Sonya Deville and later Piper Niven to win the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship. More news: WWE Superstar Announces Retirement Match A History of Celebrity Tag Matches While Green's pitch is in-character, it is not outside the realm of possibility for WWE. The company has a long and successful history of featuring celebrities in matches at their biggest events. From Mr. T teaming with Hulk Hogan in the main event of the first WrestleMania to Bad Bunny's universally acclaimed performance at WrestleMania 37, celebrity involvement is a cornerstone of WWE's entertainment strategy. This year's SummerSlam will even feature a massive celebrity tag team match, as the musician Jelly Roll will team with Randy Orton to face Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul. Cardi B, who is a well-known and vocal fan of professional wrestling, would be a perfect candidate to follow in their footsteps. Her social media interactions with various superstars over the years have shown she has a genuine passion for the business, which is a key ingredient for a successful celebrity crossover. While a match is unlikely to happen this weekend, fans will be watching Cardi B's hosting duties very closely. More WWE News: For more on WWE, head to Newsweek Sports.
