
Form four student killed in Shah Alam motorcycle crash
Shah Alam police chief ACP Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim stated that initial investigations showed the two male students from SMK Seksyen 9 were riding near Ramly Halal Mart when they allegedly lost control of the motorcycle. 'The motorcycle is believed to have struck the road divider, causing both the rider and the pillion passenger to be thrown onto the roadway,' he said.
The rider suffered severe head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The pillion passenger sustained neck injuries and leg wounds and was taken to Shah Alam Hospital for treatment.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. Witnesses or those with information are urged to contact Investigating Officer Insp Abdul Nasser Peping at 012-2863875. - BERNAMA

'So far, statements from five witnesses have been recorded in connection with this case,' he said when contacted yesterday. The man was arrested on July 5 following a report by his second wife, who claimed he had shared explicit videos featuring her and his other wives. Police had earlier confirmed that two mobile phones and a laptop were seized during the arrest. On Sunday, Selangor Islamic Religious Council chairman Datuk Salehuddin Saidin said the council had revoked the preacher's teaching credentials due to alleged criminal conduct dating back to 2022. Cops hunting for driver in hit-and-run case in Tuaran

The victim, a 39-year-old man, was pronounced dead while receiving treatment at Tuaran Hospital due to severe injuries to his head and body. Tuaran District Police Chief Superintendent Noraidin Ag Maidin said the incident occurred while the victim was walking across the road. He added that several individuals have had their statements recorded to assist with the investigation. 'Police are actively investigating to track down the driver who fled the scene of the accident. 'The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987,' he said in a media statement here on Monday. Noraidin urged members of the public who have any information related to the incident to contact the Tuaran District Police Headquarters Traffic Investigation Officer, Inspector Haffiz, at 011-61600964, or to come forward at any nearby police station. TikTok influencer arrested after stunt driving at stadium
NIBONG TEBAL: Police have detained a TikTok influencer for allegedly performing dangerous driving stunts, including drifting, in the parking area of the Batu Kawan Stadium here at midnight yesterday. Seberang Perai Selatan police chief Supt Jay January Siowou said the 26-year-old man was arrested by a team from the district police headquarters' Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Division at about 12.20 am. "The case is being investigated under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless and dangerous driving. A background check also revealed that the suspect had previously been detained under the same section of the law. "Such irresponsible actions not only violate the law but also endanger the safety of the driver and other road users," he said in a statement today. He also advised the public to always comply with traffic regulations and avoid any form of stunt driving that could lead to accidents.
