Presently in its eighth generation, the Volkswagen Golf GTI is available in Kings Red Premium, Grenadilla Black Metallic, Oryx White Premium, and Moonstone Grey color options. The vehicle maintains the sporty look synonymous with the model found in the international market. This is further highlighted by a unique design for the 18-inch alloy wheels, black accents on the front bumper, and a single exhaust outlet. Additionally, the GTI badge is located on the front door with a Matrix LED headlamp on either side.
In terms of the interior, it features a 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system that utilizes voice commands powered by Chat GPT. Furthermore, the vehicle comes with a GTI-specific digital display adorned with red accents. Other features include wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, multi-zone climate control, heated and electrically adjustable front seats, paddle shifters, along with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster.
The Volkswagen Golf GTI in India is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that produces 265 hp of power and 370 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that delivers power to the front wheels. It is equipped with an electronically controlled front-axle differential lock. Volkswagen claims that the Golf GTI can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 5.9 seconds, with a top speed electronically capped at 250 kmph.

Noida Authority set to build 35 traffic booths in city
Noida: The Noida Authority is planning to construct around 35 modern traffic booths across the city to enhance the working conditions of traffic personnel and streamline vehicular movement in high-traffic zones. These booths will be installed at those points where traffic volume is consistently high, particularly during peak hours. These include busy intersections, roundabouts, and identified "dark spots" where traffic regulation is currently hampered due to the absence of infrastructure. Each booth costs approximately Rs 1.5 lakh, totaling Rs 50–55 lakh. These booths will serve as shelters and operational posts to improve traffic monitoring and ease congestion, especially during peak hours, accidents, or rainfall, given Noida's heavy daily vehicle movement from Delhi and nearby districts. CMC to illuminate new stretch with LED lights
1 2 Cuttack: The Cuttack municipal corporation (CMC) has announced plans to illuminate a newly constructed road stretching from NH-16 to Nuapada, which runs alongside Taladanda canal. The project will see the installation of over 100 octagonal lighting poles equipped with energy-efficient LED lights on the 1.5km-long stretch. Thw initiative comes in response to the increasing vehicular movement on the road, which has raised safety concerns among commuters. "The safety of citizens is our top priority. This project will not only ensure a well-lit road but also reduce the risks of accidents and criminal activities," Cuttack mayor Subhash Singh said. The project has been allocated an estimated budget of Rs 92 lakh, with tenders awarded to a private contractor. Singh added that the work is scheduled to be completed by the end this month. Prabhas Biswal, CMC's electrical engineer, elaborated on the technical aspects and said, "An automatic timer system will be installed, ensuring the lights switch on automatically once the sun sets." This technology-driven approach is expected to reduce manual intervention, improve safety and enhance energy efficiency by monitoring power usage and cutting maintenance costs. Residents of the area have welcomed the move. Rohan Biswal, a resident of Nuapada, said, "We are glad that the long-neglected stretch will finally have proper illumination. CMC must ensure its maintenance properly after installation."
