WWE Superstar Zoey Stark
made her comeback to the limelight in a tragic manner on the recent episode of Monday Night RAW. What was supposed to be a critical milestone in her career, Stark got severely injured in her knee in a triple-threat qualifying match for the 2025 Women's Money in the Bank (MITB) ladder match. The incident has not only sidelined her from one of WWE's most prestigious events but may also signal a prolonged absence from in-ring competition.
WWE superstar Zoey Stark suffers a painful knee injury during MITB qualifier
The accident occurred at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina, during a MITB qualifier bout between Zoey Stark, Kairi Sane, and Rhea Ripley. At its climax, Stark tried her characteristic springboard dropkick—a sportslike move that requires agility and accuracy. In targeting Kairi Sane, Stark slipped in executing the springboard, resulting in her awkwardly landing on her right leg.
The blow caused her knee to bend in a distinctly unnatural manner, quite visibly startling both supporters and commentators. The match instantly became secondary as paramedics rushed onto the field to treat the hurt athlete. After the botched maneuver, Stark fell to the floor, cradling her right knee and exhibiting obvious signs of pain and distress. The referee stopped the match for a moment and motioned for medical attention. WWE ringside physicians made their way into the ring and evaluated her condition.

Despite the extent of the injury, Stark first tried to leave the ring independently. She tried to stand, only to fall again, as she could no longer bear the weight of herself. Eventually, she was assisted backstage by medical personnel, affirming the severity of the ordeal.
Veteran WWE commentator Mchael guessed Zoey Stark knee injury recurrence
Veteran WWE play-by-play commentator Michael Cole guessed on-air that Stark may have re-aggravated an old injury. Stark had extensive knee surgery in 2021 to repair a torn ACL, MCL, and meniscus—injuries requiring months of rehabilitation.
With the visual similarity and reaction of Stark, there is an increasing fear that her current injury is a recurrence or exacerbation of the same condition of the knee. But to date, WWE has not issued a formal medical diagnosis or recovery timeline. The wrestling fraternity came in support of Stark after the injury. AEW wrestler Thunder Rosa showed her concern with a heartfelt post on social media:
"Wrestling is a lovely and risky sport. We leave everything on the table every time we go to the ring, and we also put a lot on the line when we do what we are passionate about. Zoey Stark, I love you, sister, and I hope that you heal soon." — Thunder Rosa through X (previously Twitter)
Zoey Stark's recent WWE journey and return to RAW
Zoey Stark's RAW match was her first on television since January. She had last remained an active member of the dissolved faction Pure Fusion Collective, after Sonya Deville and Shayna Baszler left. Stark was competing mainly in non-televised WWE house shows and sporadic Main Event tapings before this return.
As a result of her earlier knee damage incurred during her stint in NXT, Stark was drafted to the main roster as part of the 2023 WWE Draft—a testament to how much the WWE believed in her promising future. The MITB qualifier was set to be a career-launching experience, which made her untimely injury so much more heartbreaking.
Zoey Stark's injury overshadows Rhea Ripley's MITB victory
With Stark out, the match went on between the remaining participants. Rhea Ripley took advantage of the situation, overpowering Kairi Sane and finishing the match with her characteristic Riptide finisher. The pinfall win earned Ripley a spot in the upcoming ladder match for Women's Money in the Bank, which is to be held on June 7. Ripley's victory, however, was overshadowed by the concern surrounding Stark's health, as WWE fans and analysts alike shifted focus to the severity of the injury.
The extent of Stark's injury remains unconfirmed by WWE, leaving her return date unknown. Given her history of severe knee damage, fans and medical experts fear that she could face another lengthy recovery process. This injury not only removes her from one of WWE's most career-defining matches but also risks stalling the momentum she had just begun to regain. For now, Zoey Stark's fans—and the WWE Universe as a whole—await official word from WWE's medical team.

Roman Reigns Receives Big Offer Ahead Of WWE Summerslam. This Happens Next

Days ahead of Summerslam 2025, Roman Reigns declined Paul Heyman's proposal to join his new faction comprising of Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, who seek new leadership in the absence of Seth Rollins. Rollins, who currently holds the men's Money in the Bank contract, seemingly injured his ankle during his match against LA Knight at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event earlier this month. However, it is not clear whether Rollins is actually injured as multiple reports have claimed that it might be a production masterclass from the WWE. On the penultimate Monday Night Raw (Tuesday IST) before Summerslam, Reigns went face-to-face with Heyman, who betrayed him, along with Breakker and Reed beside him. The former wiseman, uncharacteristically emotional, told Reigns he still loved his Tribal Chief and believed they could "fix this" together. Reigns, however, wasn't having any of it as he called Heyman a fool, thus rejection his offer to align with Breakker and Reed. The OTC also warned Breakker that Heyman would turn on him just like he did to him and others in the past. "You're not a Wiseman anymore you're just a dumba**," said Reigns. He also accused Heyman of ruining The Bloodline, while also acknowledging the likes of The Usos, Solo Sikoa, and Sami Zayn for helping him throughout his historic title reign. He once again called Heyman a dumba**. The OTC has SPOKEN! — WWE (@WWE) July 22, 2025 A furious Breakker took the mic told Reigns that he is the new top dog in WWE and asked him to do what he does best, "walk away". Reigns calmly handed the mic to Breakker before smashing him with a cheeky Superman Punch, followed by a trademark spear. Reigns tried to deal with both Breakker and Reed at the same time, but the numbers began to overwhelm him. As Reed was about to hit him with a Tsunami, Jey Uso's music hit and he charged to the ring to help out his cousin. The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion hit both Breakker and Reed with a superkick each, allowing Reigns to regroup. Together, they hit dual spears Jey taking out Breakker while Roman crashed into Reed leaving Heyman's faction laid out. When it Reigns, it SPEARS! — WWE (@WWE) July 22, 2025 Reigns was also grooving to the "YEET" chants after he and Jey took out Breakker and Reed.

WWE Raw Results: Roman Reigns And Jey Uso Reunite, Latino World Order Wins & More

Last Updated: Here's how this week's Monday Night Raw shaped up. In the latest episode of WWE Raw, which was streamed live from Houston, Texas, on Monday, July 21, Roman Reigns made his first appearance since his surprise return to the WWE scene after a prolonged break last week. The fans were also glued to the Women's Tag Team Championship Match and an intense No. 1 Contender Triple Threat Match, apart from other exciting battles. Here's how this week's Monday Night Raw shaped up. Roman Reigns Appearance We inched one step closer to the much-anticipated SummerSlam Tag Team battle between the Reigns-Uso pairing and Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker with a thrilling closing segment, where Reigns made his first appearance after a surprise return to the scene last week. Despite the numbers disadvantage, Reigns stood tall against the trio of Paul Heyman, Bron Breakker, and Bronson Reed. The four wrestlers jeered each other before the verbal feud escalated into a physical altercation. Just as Reigns appeared to be outnumbered, Uso arrived and rescued the former Tribal Chief. Sheamus vs. Rusev Reigniting their action-packed rivalry, Sheamus battled out a men's singles contest against Rusev. It was a rematch of their encounter a few weeks earlier. The fans were captivated by the intense exchange between the two wrestlers in the middle of the match. In the dying moments, however, Sheamus came out triumphant after delivering his finisher. LWO Hammer, New Day, and The Creed Brothers Executing a pinfall, LWO won the No. 1 contender triple-threat tag team match against New Day and The Creed Brothers after Joaquin Wilde rolled up Kofi Kingston. The match saw an interruption from El Grande Americano, who ran in to attack Dragon Lee at the ringside before Creed told him to leave. Soon, however, Wilde ended the showdown by executing the schoolboy pin. Raquel Rodriguez & Roxanne Perez (c) vs Bayley & Lyra Valkyria A highly competitive Women's Tag Team Championship match saw Rodriguez and Perez team up against Bayley and Valkyria. The intense but chaotic battle saw multiple interruptions from Dominik Mysterio, who was eventually kicked out by Rodriguez. Even AJ Styles appeared as a medic attempting to revive Mysterio. An interruption also helped the Rodriguez and Perez duo after Becky Lynch ran in and took out Valkyria. The duo then overcame Bayley and retained their tag team titles. Karrion Kross vs Sami Zayn Karrion Kross' exciting duel with Sami Zayn saw the two wrestlers land heavy moves on each other before Kross came out victorious after hitting Zayn in the ribs with a steel pipe. Kross maximised help from Scarlett, who had attempted to hand Kross the pipe earlier in the match. He then executed the pinfall for the winning moment. Stephanie Vaquer vs Iyo Sky In what could've been a thrilling battle, the Vaquer-Sky match had to be disqualified, with Vaquer declared the winner, after interference by Chelsea Green. As the Secret Service came to the ring to distract Vaquer, Green attacked from behind. Sky and Vaquer then managed to toss the group outside the ring to resume their clash. However, Naomi attacked Sky from behind. Rhea Ripley's music started buzzing inside the arena as she attacked Naomi before Vaquer and Sky combined to hit Green. Roman Reigns Confronts Paul Heyman on Raw to Sow Seeds for a Huge Clash at SummerSlam

Images via WWE YouTube (Roman Reigns, Jey Uso, Paul Heyman, Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker The July 21st episode of Monday Night Raw delivered fireworks from Houston, Texas, as Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman found themselves face-to-face in a tension-filled segment that had fans on edge. With Seth Rollins out of action due to a knee injury, Heyman appeared to be laying the groundwork for a shocking reunion, hoping to lure the former Tribal Chief back into his corner. But just when it seemed like old alliances might be rekindled, chaos erupted. One thing became clear: SummerSlam is about to get personal, and the road there just took a wild turn. What Did Roman Reigns Say to Paul Heyman's Reunion Offer? Roman Reigns made one thing crystal clear on Raw. The former Undisputed title holder hasn't forgiven Paul Heyman for betraying him at WrestleMania 41. During the final moments of Monday night's show, Heyman approached Reigns with a bold offer: take charge of his new faction, which includes Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, while Seth Rollins recovers from a knee injury. Heyman added that he still loved his Tribal Chief, and believed that the duo could fix things once again. Reigns listened for a while and then took the mic to say, 'You're not a wiseman anymore, you're just a dumba*s.' Instead of accepting, Reigns reminded Heyman that he was the one who tore The Bloodline apart. He then told Breakker that Heyman was going to do the same to him as well and betray him at his weakest. Reigns gave credit to The Usos, Sami Zayn, and even Solo Sikoa for helping him to keep the title for 1316 days. However, he lambasted Heyman and said that he didn't have anything to do with keeping the gold. Jey Uso Backed Up Roman Reigns to Point Towards a Tag Team Match at SummerSlam After Reigns was done, Breakker took a direct shot at the former Undisputed title holder, calling him 'worthless' and claiming he's the real prize, someone Heyman would never turn on. Reigns, completely unfazed, acted like he didn't hear a word. Then, in classic fashion, he offered Breakker the mic, only to follow it up with a brutal Superman Punch. Reigns tried to go after Reed next, but the numbers quickly caught up to him. Just when things looked bleak, Jey Uso's music hit and the crowd erupted. Uso stormed the ring, took out both Reed and Breakker, and teamed up with Reigns to hit a devastating double spear to close the show. In a hilarious moment, Reigns and Uso did a 'YEET' dance after the show went off the air, which was uploaded by WWE on their social media with the caption, 'The Tribal Yeet'. Reigns even commented under the video, 'Definitely AI.' But it is safe to say that 'The OTC1' was feeling a little Ucey tonight. All signs now point to a tag team clash at SummerSlam: Roman Reigns and Jey Uso vs. Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. It's a smart booking move, giving Reigns a strong spot on the card without putting too much wear and tear on him. And with Seth Rollins out due to injury, WWE is keeping his faction in play, buying time until he makes his return.
