Box Office: Saiyaara goes on an overdrive on Sunday; Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda starrer collects Rs 30 crore on day 3
The YRF-produced film opened at Rs 21.25 crore on Friday, followed by a jump to Rs 24.50 crore on Saturday, and peaking with Rs 30 crore on Sunday. The three-day total of Saiyaara is estimated to stand at Rs 75.75 crore, and the film is headed to record a strong hold in collections on Monday, as a large chunk of cinema-going audience have pre-booked their tickets for the fourth day due to capacity issues on Sunday.
While the business on day one and day two was dominated by the youth and masses, the family audience have embraced the film on the third day, which is a great sign for the trajectory in long run for the romantic saga. The music has become extremely popular, and the on-ground reports are getting strong by the day, which is an early indication of an unbelievable lifetime number in the long run.
These numbers have come in for rank newcomers, and it's after a while since a newcomer film has set the box office on fire. Saiyaara has successfully established Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda as potential stars in the horizon, and right choices from hereon can give the Gen-Z a new generation of heroes.
These numbers are beyond historic and probably the biggest for a feature film in the post-pandemic world in real terms, as a film devoid of star-power could just hit the Rs 300 crore club in India. This is certainly the beginning of a new era, with romantic films beginning to hit the marque. If the weekend numbers have shocked you, await the weekday results, as we await the magic to hit a new high in the coming few days. Stay tuned to Pinkvilla for more updates!

Before the release of the movie, director Mohit Suri spoke about it and told Firstpost, 'I've been inside the studio for the last one month. I have no idea. And unlike the past when people travel from one studio to another, this is everything inhouse at YRF. So I haven't really gone out and met the world outside. Normally, when you are working on other films, you go out for the day; for sound, edit, and VFX. It was different different places. And just hearing it now, it does feel it does feel very redeeming and validating because when I started off this film, I was quite discouraged by a lot of senior people saying that nobody would be interested in a young love story. Because at that time, larger-than-life films were being made and I just thought that my voice would be lost there when everyone was shouting. So I just went and tried to make a film which is very different from what others were doing. And to me, the fact that people are appreciating that the difference that it's standing out means a lot.'

Top Hollywood Films of 2025 in India: Mission Impossible 8 leads Mission Impossible- The Final Reckoning, directed by Christopher Macquarie, stormed over Rs 113.50 crore gross in India in its entire run. The Tom Cruise starrer is currently ruling the charts. Interestingly, Brad Pitt's F1 and Scarlett Johansson's Jurassic World Rebirth have crossed the Rs 100 crore mark today and are engaged in a neck-to-neck battle to take the second spot after the Tom Cruise movie. The next two spots belong to Final Destination: Bloodlines and Superman. While the former clocked over Rs 75 crore gross in India and emerged a successful venture, the latter underperformed.
