Famed reality TV star duo love to look alike, so can you tell which one is the mother?
The two attended the 12th Annual Luxury Luncheon in Southampton, New York with several other celebrities such as Jill Zarin from Real Housewives of New Yor, who was one of the hosts.
The reality TV stars looked almost identical despite a 33-year age gap.
The two are best known for their TLC series Smothered, which kicked off in 2019 and has lasted five seasons.
The show is about outrageous mother/daughter duos: 'These inseparable, obsessed, loving women are a constant in each other's lives. They share their most challenging and exciting moments, including how they dress in matching outfits, get plastic surgery and injections, share the same bath water, and even share the same bed.'
They boast uncanny physical similarities, and have further bonded over matching their outfits, wearing similar makeup and even entering the same beauty competitions.
But their 'inseparable' connection has caused issues within their own family, with Gabriella's siblings, Lauren, 26, and Sophia, 20, often feeling less than enthused about their mutual 'copycat' style.
It's even created problems for the Gabriella's love life, with many suitors 'intimidated' by her and Catherine's closeness.
'My mom is very protective over me, so it's caused some problems [in relationships] because she wants me to always be hanging out with her - no one else,' Gabriella, a cosmetologist and content creator, told NeedToKnow.co.uk.
'My mom only wants me to love her,' she explained.
'When I have boyfriends, mom says we are in the "love triangle" … So the relationship is with me, my mom and my man.'
Gabriella conceded, 'It's very unconventional, but this is how it is with us.'
'My mom only wants me to love her,' Gabriella explained of why their closeness has 'caused some problems' in her past relationships
'Boys have no idea what they are in for … Luckily, my ex-boyfriend was very accepting of our similarities and close relationship.'
She recalled of a lighthearted moment with her ex: 'Once, he popped over to see me and had to do a double take when mom walked in wearing the exact same outfit as me, which was really funny.'
'My siblings don't like it and they won't join in at all - we call them the "simple sisters,"' Gabriella continued of the interpersonal conflicts resulting from her closeness with her mom.
'My mom and I like to stand out, but [my sisters] don't like pageantry and instead, try to blend in with everyone else.'
The middle sis clarified, 'They don't support mom and me matching, but they do support my social media endeavors and modelling career.'
The mother-daughter pair often go viral twinning for TikTok, where Gabriella has a 375,000-plus-strong following.
One of their most popular posts has racked up more than 17 million views.
In the clip, Gabriella can be seen dancing and squatting down, before she appears to transform into Catherine.
Viewers regularly flock to the comments sections to share their reactions, often expressing shock.
'She could be your sister! You are both gorgeous!!!' one wrote.
'Oh my gosh… Mother daughter Twins !!' chimed in another.
A third observed, 'Omg! I love this it's like you are looking at your future self.'
'Your mom looks so young,' echoed someone else.
Others expressed a touch of envy, with one writing, 'I'm so jealous of how you and your mom are so close and cute.'
'When the mama shows up the numbers go up,' offered one keen observer.
Gabriella reflected, 'We are excited when our videos do so well … and brands often ask my mom and I to model for them.'
Now, Catherine, a former Miss Connecticut, is training her daughter to follow in her footsteps in hopes she'll be one day be crowned Miss USA and Miss Universe.
While she's eager for her daughter to win the crown, she's also hoping that competing in pageants will teach Gabriella persistence in never giving up on her dreams and goals.
Gabriella, who has been crowned Miss Shoreline in her home state of Connecticut, emphasized, 'I hope to follow in her legacy.'
'I have been competing since I was 19 and I've placed as a top five finalist, but I'm not giving up on my dream to follow in mama's footsteps and bag the same title she landed,' she elaborated.
'I was thrilled when mom became my coach and used her experience to help me prepare,' she continued.
'She was such a great support and gave me lots of tips … She is so beautiful and I look up to her - she's my biggest inspiration.'
Catherine loves their special bond. She further confessed, 'I find it very complimentary, being confused as her sister.'
The mom noted, 'We are both curly-haired girls and when we do photo shoots together, Gabriella always does my hair and makeup for me.'
On her mothering strategy, Catherine declared, 'I've always matched outfits with the girls since they were born and it's helped build our bond. It brings us closer together and I would recommend it for any mother and daughter.'
She added of Gabriella, 'She's my twin and my best friend.'

‘They absolutely HATE them' rage Love Island fans as they insist feud is worse than we see on TV
LAST night's episode of Love Island saw Dejon Noel-Williams and Meg Moore unceremoniously dumped from the villa, just a day before the final. The ex-islanders were brought back in to cast their votes and opted to vote them off the show, but not before sharing how they really felt about their relationship. 4 They were tasked with choosing between Dejon and Meg and Ty Isherwood and Angel Swift as least compatible. The three safe couples, namely Jamie and Yasmin, Cach and Toni and Harry and Shakira looked on as each former islander shared their thoughts. Ultimately, Dejon and Meg received the most votes and Maya told them to say their goodbyes and leave for good. As the pair packed up their belongings, they told the rest of the villa inhabitants how much they loved them. However, viewers at home insisted their co-stars 'hate them' and picked up on the simmering tensions that have occurred between Meg and the girls all series long. One fan wrote on X: 'These people hated Meg and Dejon. Leaving at the semi final and no tears or nothing.' Another expressed: 'That was the least emotional send off ever. Just Harry with the tears lol.' real life tears.' Yet another joked: 'Lol no tears from anyone,' while a fourth said: 'The way none of the girls are crying about Meg leaving.' A fifth added: 'The girls listening to Meg's leaving speech do not look bothered at all.' Love Island OG's Meg and Dejon DUMPED by returning islanders A divide between the girls has been mentioned all series long, with Meg appearing to be on one side with Helena Ford and Megan Forte-Clarke, while Shakira Khan, Yasmin Pettet and Toni Laites were on the other side. The two groups have clashed on multiple occasions, with the ladies on either side being involved in love triangles with the boys. Viewers recently claimed that the divide started right at the start of the series, just hours after they descended into the villa. On fan forum platform Reddit, one informed fan noticed that the girls were splitting in the villa all the way back in episode two of the 2025 series. In a video posted on the platform, Shakira made a new best friend in Toni after her bombshell arrival and the duo gossiped together by the firepit. This was as Alima Gagigo, Sophie Lee, Megan, Helena, and Meg were all sitting together in a separate part of the villa. Shakira told the Las Vegas cabana server that she felt like she was judged from the rest of the girls for chatting with so many of the boys so early on. She remarked: "I'm not joking, getting ready then the vibes felt so off. "So it's not enough to like pick up on and say something about because it's nothing that is being said, but it's the energy. Toni replied: "You know everyone is interested in you." Then Shakira stated: "I've been grafting, but I feel like the girls don't appreciate that. "But equally what's stopping them from doing the same thing? We've all been here [only] a day. Like, I think I have a right to get to know everybody." In the captions below, fans seemed to concur that this was the moment the villa divide started. One fan posted: "Yep the twist of Shakira being single and having to graft the boys to stay def started the divide." While a second added: "I'm no Shakira-Harry fan, but as a guy, it always came across to me that jealousy was a primary motivator in those in the villa that disliked her." 4 4

Trolls said I was the ugliest Islander ever – I was too upset to watch my series back, Amy Hart tells Fabulous' podcast
Maleeha Katib Published: Invalid Date, AMY Hart has opened up about the brutal trolling she faced after Love Island, revealing she was so crushed by cruel comments she couldn't bring herself to watch her own series back. The reality star, 32, who rose to fame on the 2019 summer edition of Love Island, made the emotional confession during an appearance on Fabulous's brand new podcast, No Parental Guidance. 9 9 9 9 Amy Hart was supposed to have her fairytale. A summer of sun, romance and bikinis in the Love Island villa. But when she walked out of the series heartbroken, what came next blindsided her and it wasn't just Curtis Pritchard's brutal U-turn. Listen and subscribe to our new No Parental Guidance podcast here... The star said she's only just now starting to feel ready to revisit the show that made her a household name. 'I think I'm actually close to watching it back,' she said. 'I reckon I'm probably about two years away from watching it.' Amy shot to fame as the hopeless romantic who entered the villa genuinely looking for love and famously left the show heartbroken after being dumped by Curtis Pritchard. But it wasn't just heartbreak she was dealing with when she came out, it was a flood of personal attacks that left lasting scars. Love Island gets over 9,000 Ofcom complaints in just a week as fuming viewers slam show 'When I came out, everyone was like, 'ugliest Islander ever, you're the fat one, you're this, you're that,'' Amy recalled. 'Anyway, the other day on my Facebook memories, Casa Amor had obviously started that night, and my best friend who ran my socials had done a collage of all different pictures of us before we went in.' 9 9 She continued: 'I've never seen any of those pictures before, so I was zooming in and I was like, 'Oh my God, I want to look like that again.' "I looked amazing. I was like, 'I just want to look like that.'' Amy explained she hasn't watched the series back because of how painful it felt at the time, not due to lingering feelings about her ex, but the emotional toll the public backlash had on her. 'It's not about anyone else, I just felt like it would upset me a lot,' she said. Now a mum to toddler Stanley and happily settled down with her partner Sam, Amy says she's in a much stronger place. 9 Looking back at old pictures, she's finally able to appreciate how good she looked at the time, despite the criticism. Elsewhere in the podcast, Amy showed her sharp wit and honest humour hasn't dulled since her villa days. She dished on the chaos of parenting life, shared hilarious tales about hangovers, toddler tantrums, and birthday party disasters, and revealed how her little boy is already a dab hand with a beauty blender. 'I get very excited about things, so I tell him everything and talk to him about everything,' she said with a laugh. The Love Island alum, who now co-hosts the official Love Island podcast, admitted she juggles glam work life with the whirlwind of motherhood, complete with soft play, sleepless nights, and toddler meltdowns. And while she jokes about the 'slug's eye' effect of losing interest in sex post-baby, Amy's refreshingly candid take on parenting has earned her a new legion of fans – this time, mums who feel seen, not judged. 9 'People want us to hate each other,' she added of her relationship with ex Curtis. 'But we get on so well. He is actually my best interview always because I know how far I can wind him up." Amy said she had met Curtis in a nightclub after Love Island and the couple were able to talk through things for over an hour. She added: "I wish him well... but then when you think it was like literally five weeks". "And now I've got an amazing husband and a little boy and stuff." Barrage of hate Back in 2019, the former air stewardess told an inquiry into influencer culture that she receives a barrage of abuse and death threats from people as young as 13 years old after appearing on the reality show. Amy said she doesn't believe sites such as Twitter, Facebook and Instagram were supportive enough when it came to trolling. Appearing in front of the Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Committee today, the former Islander recounted the abuse she was regularly receiving online. She said: "Look at this barrage of messages someone has sent me before 7 o'clock in the morning telling me how much they hate me, how awful I am, why everyone hates me, how ugly I am." Amy said she was getting trolled by people who said they are nurses and "people that have got husbands and children" and one death threat had been traced back to a 13-year-old.
