Govt signs MoU with Spain-headquartered firm to develop AI ready data centre

Indore: The Madhya Pradesh State Electronics Development Corporation (MPSEDC) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with a Spain-headquartered global company specialising in data centre cooling technology. The MoU with Submer Technologies SL was signed to establish a strategic collaboration to jointly develop up to 1 gigawatt (GW) of next-generation, AI-ready data centre capacity in Madhya Pradesh. The agreement was signed during Invest in Madhya Pradesh Business Forum held in Barcelona in presence of chief minister Mohan Yadav. In a post on X, Yadav said, "At the Invest in Madhya Pradesh Business Forum held today in Barcelona, the capital of Spain, detailed discussions were held with entrepreneurs on immense potential for investment and trade in Madhya Pradesh, and they were invited to explore opportunities in the state. On this occasion, an MoU was also signed between @MPSeDC_DST and @submertech." "It is a matter of pride that Madhya Pradesh successfully earned the trust of global investors through its stable governance, industry-friendly policies, simplified procedures, and prompt decision-making," he said. Would have taken govt nod for Hindustan Zinc fee if it was needed: Arun Misra, CEO

If Hindustan Zinc 's brand fee agreement needed an approval from the government, it would have been taken, Arun Misra, the CEO of the Vedanta-owned company said on Friday. Misra's remarks were in response to ET's query regarding US-based short seller Viceroy Research 's claim that Hindustan Zinc did not take the government's approval for its Brand Fee agreement in 2023. In its report earlier this week, Viceroy said that this would lead an 'event of default' as per the shareholder agreement with the government. It goes through a number of audits. It gets vetted by legal and then it is done in the board meeting," Misra told ET in an exclusive interaction. "The board will also ask the same question. So, had the approval been needed, it would have been taken," he said. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Cardiologist Reveals: The Simple Morning Habit for a Flatter Belly After 50! "When I opened the document, I was made to agree that it was for educational purposes-how do I take it to the board for discussion?" Misra said. He, though, acknowledged that the board meeting did have discussions related to the report. Viceroy report on Vedanta lacks credibility: Ex-CJI Chandrachud

Viceroy Research 's report on the Vedanta group lacks credibility, former chief justice of India DY Chandrachud said on Friday, referring to the short-seller's reports on the group over the past few days. "Viceroy has a track record of taking short positions in listed companies and then publishing misleading reports to profit unlawfully from the resulting market impact," Chandrachud said in a report. ET has seen a copy of this report. The Vedanta group had sought his opinion after the US-based short seller has published a series of reports against the group, terming Vedanta Resources a 'parasite' company, apart from pointing out several other alleged irregularities.
