Kinoshi also expressed his unease about the fixtures, which see Selangor play in the Sultan of Selangor's Cup at Merdeka Stadium on Sept 27, on the day they are scheduled to meet Melaka in a Super League match at MBPJ Stadium. The tie is now marked "to be confirmed (TBC)".
"I don't know the situation at the end of September. Even if I have any complaints, I can't change it. I just have to accept the competition as well. It's okay."
Kinoshi, 61, said his players must take full ownership of their preparation for the new season.

JDT's dominance — 11 titles in a row — has made the M-League highly predictable, with many clubs seemingly surrendering before a ball is even kicked. The deeper concern is the impact this may have on Harimau Malaya, with two crucial friendlies coming up during the Fifa window against Singapore (Sept 4) and Palestine (Sept 8). National coach Peter Cklamovski has already warned that he needs players to arrive fit and match-ready as the games are warm-ups for the Asian Cup qualifiers. "If players arrive unfit, low on confidence, or carrying knocks, it will hurt the national team," said Zulakbal. "Singapore are always a tough derby, and Palestine narrowly missed out on the 2026 World Cup. We need our best players at their peak."

Argentine Hidalgo eyes Malaysia call-up after December
KUALA LUMPUR: Argentine Manuel Hidalgo hopes to be a national player for Malaysia. The 26-year-old, currently on loan to KL City from Johor Darul Ta'zim, said he will meet FIFA's five-year residency requirement after December, making him eligible to play for Harimau Malaya. "I think I will have been here for five years by that time," said Hidalgo, who debuted in the Super League with Sri Pahang in April, 2021.
