German FA doubles bonus for women's team to win Euro 2025
Germany's women footballers will receive a record bonus if they win the European Championship title this July.
Each player will earn €120,000 ($136,500) if they lift the trophy in Switzerland, the German Football Federation (DFB) announced on Tuesday.

The bonus for winning the last Euros in England in 2021, when Germany finished second to the hosts, was half as much.
From the quarter-finals onwards, Germany players will receive "performance-based bonuses" as agreed by the team council and the federation.
For reaching the last eight, each player could earn up to €45,000. Reaching the semi-finals would bring €65,000, and participation in the final would be rewarded with €90,000.
The final will take place on July 27 at St. Jakob-Park in Basel.
"There needs to be more performance incentives in women's football," DFB president Bernd Neuendorf said in a statement. "The victory bonus, now doubled compared to the last European Championship, is therefore an important signal."

Captain Giulia Gwinn commented: "For us as a national team, sporting success is the top priority. That's why it was clear to us from the start that we would agree on a performance-based bonus system."
She added that the team and the federation had "found a good solution together."
Record eight-times winners Germany, led by coach Christian Wück, will begin their European Championship campaign on July 4 in St Gallen against Poland. They then face Denmark on July 8 in Basel and the third group-stage match will take place on July 12 in Zurich against Sweden.

"The funny thing is I actually started off playing the guitar, but being in the church - that's where I was playing - so learning the piano and stuff like that. "I thought 'why not take it with me?' - and it was nice that it could be driven in a van. "It was good to have that in my room right next to my bed every day." It was a packed service, so it was nice to see everyone and people I haven't really spoken to before coming up to me to say 'well done, we're so proud of you, we were praying for you'.
