Toshiba: DCM32xx00 Series, automotive standard digital isolators compliant with AEC-Q100.
The safety and reliability of on-board chargers (OBC) and battery management systems (BMS) in hybrid-electric vehicles (HEV) and electric vehicles (EV) require devices that ensure isolation and prevent noise-propagation. Automotive standard digital isolators provide solutions for the multi-channel high-speed communications and high CMTI these isolation devices require.
The new isolators use Toshiba's proprietary magnetic coupling type isolated transmission method to achieve a high CMTI of 100kV/μs (typ.). This delivers high level resistance to electric noise between input and output in isolated signal transmission, enables stable control signal transmission and contributes to stable equipment operation. A low-pulse-width distortion of 0.8ns (typ.)[2] and a data-transmission rate of 50Mbps (max)[2] are also achieved. The new products are suitable for 2-channel high-speed communication applications such as I/O interfaces with CAN[3] communications.
Toshiba already mass produces 4-channel automotive standard digital isolators, and has now extended its product lineup to 2-channel small SOIC8-N packages. Going forward, the company will expand its range of channels and packages for automotive and industrial equipment. It will continue to provide high-quality isolation devices and photocouplers that support the reliability and real-time data transmission required by automotive equipment.

Vishay Intertechnology NTC Immersion Thermistor Delivers Fast 1.5 s Response Time for Liquid-Cooled Automotive Systems
MALVERN, Pa., July 02, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) today introduced a new AEC-Q200 qualified NTC immersion thermistor. Featuring a miniature design with a compact sensor tip and thin insulated wire, the Vishay BCcomponents NTCAIMM66H is ideal for the small spaces of liquid-cooled automotive systems, where it provides a fast 1.5 s response time to temperature changes. The rugged device released today consists of a miniature NTC thermistor mounted in a stainless steel 316L housing with lead (Pb)-free brass, and 0.35 mm² AWG#22 insulated lead wires with a FLR2X construction that enables a traction force higher than 30 N. These wires allow for direct crimping with automotive connectors — eliminating the need for costly wire to wire connectors — while the stainless-steel housing enables permanent contact with water or other liquids. The NTCAIMM66H will be used for temperature measurement, sensing, and control in liquid-cooled automotive systems such as HEV/EV on-board chargers (OBC) and charging plugs and sockets, in addition to solar heating systems, energy storage systems, industrial drives and tools, and servers. The device can be customized with different cable and stripping lengths, gauges, and conductor plating to meet the need of specific applications, enabling Vishay customers to integrate the thermistor into their complete sensor solutions for HEV / EV thermal management systems (TMS). The immersion sensor offers resistance at +25 °C (R 25 ) of 10 kΩ, with tolerance of ± 2 %, and beta (B 25/85 ) of 3984 K, with tolerance of ± 0.5 %. The device features maximum power dissipation of 100 mW and an operating temperature range of -40 °C to +125 °C. Samples and production quantities of the NTCAIMM66H are available now, with lead times of 12 to 14 weeks. Vishay manufactures one of the world's largest portfolios of discrete semiconductors and passive electronic components that are essential to innovative designs in the automotive, industrial, computing, consumer, telecommunications, military, aerospace, and medical markets. Hundreds of Brother printer models have security flaw that can't be patched
A security company has found eight security vulnerabilities that impact hundreds of Brother printer models. The company has released firmware updates to handle seven of these vulnerabilities, but one security flaw cannot be patched. Brother has indicated that it'll fix the remaining issue during the manufacturing process of future printers, which doesn't help current owners. The company recommends that users change the default main password. Otherwise, bad actors could remotely access impacted devices. Though primarily impacting around 700 Brother printers, 59 units manufactured by Fujifilm, Toshiba, Ricoh and Konica Minolta are also at risk. To view this content, you'll need to update your privacy settings. Please click here and view the "Content and social-media partners" setting to do so. — Rapid7 (@rapid7) June 25, 2025 The security flaw is called CVE-2024-51978 in the National Vulnerability Database, and has a 9.8 'Critical' CVSS rating . Simply put, attackers could generate the default admin password so long as they know the serial number of the printer. Once this has been done, bad actors would be able to exploit the other seven vulnerabilities if the user didn't patch them up. These remaining flaws allow hackers to retrieve sensitive information, crash the device, open TCP connections, perform HTTP requests and reveal passwords for connected networks. So what should you do? Check this list of impacted printers to see if you're at risk . Most importantly, change the default password.

Hundreds of Brother printer models have an unpatchable security flaw
Serious security flaws have been found in hundreds of Brother printer models that could allow attackers to remotely access devices that are still using default passwords. Eight new vulnerabilities, one of which cannot be fixed by patching the firmware, were discovered in 689 kinds of Brother home and enterprise printers by security company Rapid7. The flaws also impact 59 printer models from Fujifilm, Toshiba, Ricoh, and Konica Minolta, but not every vulnerability is found on every printer model. If you own a Brother printer, you can check to see if your model is affected here. The most serious security flaw, tracked under CVE-2024-51978 in the National Vulnerability Database, has a 9.8 'Critical' CVSS rating and allows attackers to generate the device's default admin password if they know the serial number of the printer they're targeting. This allows attackers to exploit the other seven vulnerabilities discovered by Rapid7, which include retrieving sensitive information, crashing the device, opening TCP connections, performing arbitrary HTTP requests, and exposing passwords for connected network services. While seven of these security flaws can be fixed via firmware updates detailed in Rapid7's report, Brother indicated to the company that CVE-2024-51978 itself 'cannot be fully remediated in firmware,' and will be fixed via a change to the manufacturing process for future versions of affected printer models. For current models, Brother recommends that users change the default admin password for their printer via the device's Web-Based Management menu Changing default manufacturing passwords is something we should all be doing when we take a new device home anyway, and these printer vulnerabilities are a good example as to why.
