The charges against the Ghana international are attributed to the offences that took place between 2021 and 2022, the Metropolitan Police said in a statement. Lawyers for Partey, 32, said in a statement he 'denies all the charges against him'. 'He has fully cooperated with the police and CPS throughout their three-year investigation,' said lawyer Jenny Wiltshire. 'He now welcomes the opportunity to finally clear his name. Partey, who was charged four days after leaving the North London club, will appear in court in central London on August 5. More from Football The police confirmed charges of rape related to two women, while a separate complaint of sexual assault involved a third woman. Detective Superintendent Andy Furphy, whose team is leading the investigation, said their priority was providing 'support to the women who have come forward'. And he urged anyone 'impacted by the case' or 'who has information' to contact police. Being a veteran footballer, Thomas Partey has played over 487 matches, and has scored 44 goals, and dished out 22 assists as well. Partey has won several trophies, including La Liga and the UEFA Europa League with Atletico Madrid. He is known for his defensive skills, passing accuracy, and versatility in midfield roles. He started his career at Atletico Madrid. He stayed with Atleti from 2013 to 2020. The stint had a couple of loan spells as well. He was loaned to Mallorca in 2013 and returned to 2014. The 2014-15 season, he spent at Almaria. Following that he became a starter with Atletico. He departed from the club in 2020 and found Premier League club Arsenal as his new harbor. He left Arsenal at the start of 2025.
