on Sunday sought to remind that none of the
political parties
were "satisfied" with the existing
electoral rolls
, as per recent rounds of ECI consultations with them across states.
"During the past four months, all 4,123 EROs, all 775 DEOs and all 36 CEOs have held nearly 5,000 meetings with 28,000 political party representatives. ECI has also invited all recognised political parties for interaction. No one was satisfied with the current status of electoral rolls for one reason or the other," Gyanesh Kumar said.
Poll panel sources, meanwhile, also cautioned the public on "misleading" statements being "orchestrated" to "confuse" them.

"People should beware of statements being made by a few persons who, without reading the SIR order dated June 24, 2025, and who are orchestrating and attempting to confuse the public with their incorrect and misleading statements," ECI sources said.
Alongside, the Bihar Chief Electoral Officer on Sunday issued advertisements in leading Hindi newspapers of the state indicating some relief for those who don't have any of the 11 documents specified by the ECI. "If voters provide the required documents, it will be easier for the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) to process the application. If you are unable to provide the required documents, the ERO can decide based on local investigation or other documentary evidence", the advertisement said.

New Delhi: Delhi High Court on Tuesday wondered how long the prosecution can oppose bail for accused persons jailed in connection with the Feb 2020 riots that rocked northeast Delhi.
