Daily Mirror3 days ago

One Love Island star is making a return to reality television as they announced their participation in Netflix's Perfect Match
Love Island star Scott van-der-Sluis revealed he'll be back on our screens again for another dating competition. The TV personality rose to fame on Love Island UK but failed to find love with anyone there. Not long after, he jetted across the pond to join the cast of the US version in series five.
Scott wasn't done with his journey yet, as he later took part in the ultimate crossover series, Love Island Games. His friends and fans have made jokes about his lengthy Love Island journey, with Scott even joining in on the fun. And now, it looks like the Welsh star is giving it one more shot, but this time with Netflix series Perfect Match.

Along with a cast photo from the show, Scott shared on social media: "You lot thought I was done? Nah Representing @loveisland on international TV. AUGUST 1ST @netflix BE THERE."
Perfect Match, hosted by Nick Lachey, features contestant from other Netflix reality shows who pair up and compete in challenges.
As they compete to form relationships, the most compatible couples play matchmaker and have the power to break up other couples by sending them on dates with new singles they'll invite into the villa. The Netflix series expanded this year by adding Love Island and Bachelor stars into the reality TV mix.
After sharing the news, Scott's Love Island pals rushed to the comment section to share their thoughts on him being on another reality show.
Catherine Agbaje said: "Let's see what craziness you've cooked up this time," while Whitney Adebayo posted: "He's backkkk," with a laughing emoji.
Tyrique Hyde commented: "Go on sonnnnnnn," and Love Island US star Jana Craig wrote: "Yeahhh go Scott!!" Mitchel Taylor, better known as Messy Mitch, reposted the announcement and added: "What a guy," with a laughing emoji.
This year's Perfect Match includes stars from The Bachelor, Love Is Blind UK and US, Love Island UK and US, Battle Camp, The Ultimatum, Siesta Key, Too Hot To Handle, Temptation Island, Dated & Related, The Mole and The Circle.
Scott rose to fame on the 2023 version of Love Island., where he and Catherine developed a promising relationship.

However, their connection faced a significant challenge during the Casa Amor segment when Catherine returned to the main villa with newcomer Elom Ahlijah-Wilson, leaving Scott single and vulnerable.
Following their time on the show, Catherine and Elom parted ways, leading fans to hope for a rekindling of the romance between Scott and Catherine.

EXCLUSIVE Tommy Fury shares hug with Molly-Mae Hague lookalike during wild night out as he parties until the early hours - following his reconciliation with the influencer

shared a hug with his brother Roman's girlfriend, who strikes a remarkable resemblance to his own partner Molly-Mae Hague, during a wild night out in Cheshire on Friday. The boxer, 26, was spotted on the rare outing without his former fiancée, also 26, who he met on Love Island in 2019 and split from last year, before reconciling. Tommy, who shares two-year-old daughter Bambi with the influencer, said the reason their romance ended was down to his excessive drinking. He showcased his buff physique in a tight black top and matching cargo trousers as he danced the night away with a large group of pals and partied into the early hours. First Tommy was seen at the Bubble Room in Alderley Edge before heading over to The Symposium night club where he is said to have ended his evening at 2am. He chatted intently his brother's partner before she wrapped her arms around his neck for a friendly embrace. The Symposium is owned by Hollyoaks star Ashley Taylor Dawson, 43, best known for his role as Darren Osborne in the Channel 4 soap. Customers can splash the cash on private booths that cost up to £1200 and come with bottles of pricey champagne. It was recently claimed that a feud is brewing between Molly and Tommy 's families over their decision to give their relationship another go. Earlier this month, a report from The Sun suggested that Molly-Mae's sister Zoe was concerned about them getting back together. In the latest episodes of Molly-Mae's Amazon Prime documentary Behind It All, Zoe expressed her doubts over Tommy openly. This in turn reportedly angered Tommy's family including his brother Tyson and his wife Paris. A source told the publication: 'The Fury family aren't impressed that Zoe has been so outspoken about Tommy. 'They're a fiercely loyal bunch and seeing Zoe's comments broadcast to millions of people via Amazon absolutely got their hackles up. 'To them Tommy is a stand up guy, a good, hard working father. His drinking issues shouldn't be used as a stick to beat him.' The insider added that Paris is confused as to why Zoe would try to hinder the family getting back together. Despite the claims, Tommy finally made his return to Molly-Mae's YouTube vlogs for the first time since the couple's shock split. After months of rumours that they had rekindled their romance, the couple finally confirmed they were back on by going Instagram official last month with a loved-up family snap with their daughter Bambi. But Molly-Mae has insisted the pair are taking it slow this time around, with the boxer still not moving back in to her Cheshire mansion, and not being shown on her vlogs - until now. Her latest video diary released last week, saw Tommy back on camera again, announcing: 'The wanderer has returned! Like nothing ever changed.' And the couple looked as loved-up as ever, as they cosied up together and burst into a fit of giggles, before Tommy even leaned in for a kiss and bid Molly goodbye with an 'I love you'. And Molly-Mae even reflected on it feeling 'a little bit full circle' as the pair caught a glimpse of the beginning of their love story, as they watched Love Island anniversary special. To mark 10 years of the show, ITV aired a one-off Love Island: Decade of Love last week, where they celebrated Molly-Mae and Tommy as one of their biggest success stories. The pair fell for each other in front of the nation during series five in 2019, before going on to welcome daughter Bambi and get engaged in 2023. But fans were shocked when they announced they'd split on Instagram in August, with Tommy later revealing Molly ended their romance over his excessive drinking. In a statement posted to her 8.5million Instagram followers, she confirmed the breakup, saying: 'I never imagined our story would end, especially not this way.' Tommy denied continued speculation about him cheating during a magazine interview, insisting any reports about him being with other women were 'complete and utter b*****ks.'

Matthew Goode reveals 'really dark' pitch that torpedoed his James Bond audition

Hollywood star Matthew Goode has opened up about his disastrous pitch for James Bond, which went so badlythathe never even got to audition for the role. Matthew, 47, was one of a handful of actors reportedly in the running for 2006's Casino Royale, along with Henry Cavill, Rupert Friend and Sam Worthington. However, Matthew didn't get much further than his meeting with franchise producer Barbara Broccoli – putting himself out of the running by pitching Bond as an alcoholic drug addict who 'hates himself' and 'hates women.' The role ultimately went to Daniel Craig, who starred as Bond for five films before bowing out with 2021's No Time to Die. With the franchise now run by Amazon MGM Studios after being purchased for $8.45billion (£6.7billion) in 2022, the hunt is on for their new Bond. Reflecting on his own vision of 007, Matthew has spoken of where it all went wrong. In an interview with Variety, Matthew said: 'I didn't audition. I went in and met Barbara [Broccoli]. 'It was quite a funny one because — and she's gorgeous and just a lovely, lovely person — she was like, 'So what's your idea for Bond?' 'And I was like, 'My idea for Bond. We've gotta take it back to the books, you know? Really, we absolutely have to make this guy an alcoholic, a drug addict. He hates himself. He hates women. He hates a lot of people. He's in deep pain. He's brilliant at killing people.'' And that, according to Matthew, is where his journey ended. 'I think by the end of the interview, she was like, 'Mhmm. Next.' 'I wanted to make it really dark, but what I should have said was, 'But also incredibly charming.'' After failing to score a licence to kill, Matthew went on to star in Zack Snyder's superhero adaptation Watchmen, in which he played the scheming Ozymandias. Since then, he has appeared as Henry Talbot in the period drama Downton Abbey, and as Toby Armstrong-Jones in The Crown. His film work includes the comedy drama Cemetery Junction and comedy-spy prequel The King's Man, both of which featured Bond star Ralph Fiennes, who appeared as M opposite Daniel Craig. Matthew can currently be found starring in the crime drama Dept. Q for Netflix, where he plays disgraced detective Carl Morck. As for Bond, the hunt is now on for Daniel Craig's replacement following the appointment of Denis Villeneuve to direct the next entry in the franchise. The Dune director has promised that the franchise is in good hands, saying: 'Some of my earliest movie-going memories are connected to 007. 'I grew up watching James Bond films with my father, ever since Dr. No with Sean Connery. I'm a die-hard Bond fan. To me, he's sacred territory.' He described the opportunity 'a massive responsibility, but also, incredibly exciting for me and a huge honour.' The studio has reportedly narrowed their search for the next Bond down to three names, according to Variety. More Trending It's also said that Amazon MGM are seeking a British actor under the age of 30. As such, Saltburn star Jacob Elordi, the MCU's Tom Holland and Babygirl star Harris Dickinson are all said to be under consideration. Jacob may not be a Brit, but could follow in former Bond George Lazenby's footsteps as an Australian 007. Got a story?
