Elden Ring Nightreign collector's edition revealed: $200 gets you 24 centimeters of hero and a proper artbook, or drop $190 for another fancy helmet
Elden Ring Nightreign publisher Bandai Namco has unveiled a suite of collector's edition-style swag bags for hardcore FromSoft fans to splurge on.
Elden Ring Nightreign costs $39.99 at base (physical copies only available for PS5 and Xbox Series X), with a $54.99 digital deluxe edition bundling in a digital artbook and soundtrack plus a DLC that is already in development. The DLC will add new areas, bosses, and playable characters when it eventually arrives.
The Elden Ring Nightreign collector's edition proper is a $199.99 package that comes with everything in the digital deluxe edition plus a steelbook case, hardcover artbook, miscellaneous in-game collectibles, and for the crown jewel, a 24-centimeter statue of Wylder, one of the playable Elden Ring Nightreign characters.
Separately, a $189.99 Elden Ring Nightreign helmet – again, a replica of Wylder – will be available a la carte. You're just paying for the helmet here; the game is not included. This near-life-size bit of merch lines up with the Malenia and Messmer helmets released for Elden Ring and its Shadow of the Erdtree DLC.
As we said in our Elden Ring Nightreign preview, FromSoftware's weirdest game yet is shaping up to be an absurd but fun experiment that feels like a mod in the best way. It's a co-op roguelike where you assemble boss-killing Elden Ring builds on the fly while racing against the timer of a battle royale-style fog wall. It's weird! We've played it for a few hours now, and we'd certainly like to play more.
Elden Ring Nightreign beta codes are finally being sent out, but many PS5 and Xbox Series X players are reporting the same issue – they've seemingly got access to the wrong platform.

There's lots of businesses, I think there's a great deal of FOMO out there, where everybody believes everybody else has raced ahead – and some have, and some haven't. But it really is a race, to a degree, to catch up and to learn. I think businesses are going to have to start to look at AI as being a core part of the strategy now. We're talking about narrow AI in general – retention models, analytic models, next best action – but they're going to have to start looking at generative AI and see what part that plays in the construction of content, media, the analysis of the business. They're also now going to have to look at agentic AI, which is digital labour built on top of large language models that can actually take over a lot of the roles that particular staff members are doing. Once you start looking at all of this we may be in a stage where we're very soon going to have not just human labour but a lot of digital labour built into a business. There's nothing unusual there – Amazon factories are full of it, lots of people have put agentic labour into workplaces already – but it leads to a different set of skills you need as a manager. How I manage a person is very different than how I manage a robot - the performance metrics and the KPIs and the goals that I set, and the strategies that I put in place, they're all new skills that people need to learn, including AI. If AI is going to take on a huge proportion of work, then you could end up a headless organisation – like Uber – which basically means people are controlled by technology that's driving them, pointing in particular directions, allocating their next body of work. What does that mean as you transition your workplace to that? What does it mean for your customers? If you look at Uber and some of the things that have come up against over the last number of years – have I decided policies that make up for some of technology's fragilities, or when it goes wrong? How am I going to learn all of this tech and manage my staff? There's so many questions that we are learning answers to. And not only that, if AI is going to do a lot of what we're doing, then how do we develop the skills that AI can't – the curiosity, the agility, the adaptability, the coaching and mentorship? How do I learn the data, the AI skills themselves? How do I learn critical and analytical thinking? Where do I know to use technology decision insight? How do I actually cooperate or co-compete with my previous competitors – cooperation or coopetition? How do I open drawbridges and cooperate in an increasingly intelligent and digital world? How do I plan for my new career or the new careers inside of businesses – like agentic AI architects, data strategists, generative AI content engineers or agentic labour leaders? How do I start to restructure my leadership team so my Chief HR Officer is now taking on the role of a Chief Technology Officer as well? How do I get people excited about new roles like an AI Network Optimisation Engineer? The world is moving and you need to move with it. You need to be very agile. There's a lot of businesses and business leaders have to do to adjust their own learning, their own leadership model, the structure of their organisation – who does the work, be it digital or human labour. Get started now. It's not one thing, it's a whole host of things – but that's what makes life and business fun as well. What are the foundational principles behind truly successful digital transformation efforts—and why do so many companies get it wrong? The basic secret that nobody really talks about is never getting there in the first place. Businesses that tend to need to digitally transform have got themselves in a position where they're very analogue today. But AI itself is an 80-year-old overnight success story. The term itself was invented in 1956, when a group of scientists went to Dartmouth in the US to recreate the human mind and body and faculties – and then discovered that they actually couldn't. Some companies have got to build change as part of their system, innovation as part of their DNA, the willingness to be agile and try things and make mistakes. But if they're in that situation, then not suddenly having a digital transformation plan – then you really need to build that culture. They need to create a culture of continuous change, using AI or Gen AI or intelligent automation. They need to use Gen AI or other tools or techniques that's going to allow them to innovate and keep ahead of their competition. But how do you create that culture going forward where change, innovation, creativity, intelligence, customer delivery – using digital channels – is continually evolving? There's not one secret but one imprtant one is don't fall back on the, "we'll just keep doing what we've always done" – because the world is moving too quickly, and it won't move around you. Get your tech, get your people, get your processes – get all those working together, and then create a flywheel that guaranteesyour success going forward. Become a learning business but don't ever fall behind again – is the secret sauce.

Sony has released a new firmware update for the A1 II; not a dramatic overhaul, but a series of refined changes and additions that improve the camera's overall handling and functionality. The Sony A1 II is the brand's flagship mirrorless camera, designed for professionals who need speed, resolution and reliability. Built to handle everything from high-speed sports photography to cinematic video production, it occupies a unique place at the top of the Alpha line, capable of 8K video, 30fps bursts and blackout-free EVF performance, all backed by a deep well of pro-level tools. This firmware update doesn't alter that foundation but instead refines it further, making the camera feel more fluid and intelligent in daily use. Among the first things users will notice is that the camera's shooting information now adapts depending on orientation. Whether held vertically or horizontally, the display layout automatically shifts to suit the position. A small ergonomic touch, but one that makes a difference when you're shooting fast and need settings visible at a glance. Elsewhere, Sony has added flexibility to how core modes are accessed. Users can now choose whether to change Shooting Mode, Drive Mode, and Focus Mode via the physical dials or through the menu, depending on personal preference or working conditions. Playback and image management also benefit from updates. Photographers can now view folder names and file names during image review, and for those working with dual card slots, images can now be rated or deleted across both slots at once. For video users, Sony has introduced the ability to tag clips as OK, NG, or KEEP during or after recording. This in-camera flagging helps streamline post-production, enabling editors or assistants to identify usable material before the footage even leaves the card. A more seamless wireless workflow is another key area of focus. The update expands the camera's compatibility with Sony's Transfer & Tagging and Monitor & Control apps, enabling new features like focus map overlays and IRIS operation bars when connected to a smart device. Beyond these core refinements, the update prepares the A1 II for a range of specialized, pro-level applications. Features like Scan and Tag, Photo Cropping, and Volume Photography Commands are now supported under a paid license, scheduled for release after August 2025. These will be of particular interest to event, school or high-volume studio photographers. Similarly, updates to Sony's Camera Authenticity Solution mean that image timestamps now reflect the camera's internal clock instead of server time, offering better traceability for photojournalists or those working in fields where image verification is essential. The firmware is available now via the Sony support website, where you can also find the full list of updates. Discopup Steam pageRelease: July 26Developer: Parry Mechanics I don't know what you look for in videogames, but one thing I love about the medium is its potential to tell stories heretofore untold. Which is why I was immediately drawn to this game about a seal trying to gain access to a dogs-only disco. What would a seal do under these circumstances? Mope off into the streets? Look for a seals-only disco? According to the logic advanced by Discopup, the seal would roam the world in search of the perfect disguise, all the better to gain access to the disco, whether those dastardly dogs want you in there or not. Mage Arena Steam page Release: July 25Developers: jrsjamsHere's an unimpressive-looking game about sorcerers and warlocks doing battle. Don't let your eyes deceive you, though: a lot of people are playing it, and many are saying it's great. It's a first-person PvP affair, but the twist is that you need to use your voice to cast the spells. As you can imagine, this becomes chaotic very fast. As one Steam reviewer describes it: "Lots of people screaming fireball at each other in increasing desperation". Sign me up. s.p.l.i.t Steam pageRelease: July 25Developer: Mike Klubnika From the creator of the brilliantly disturbing Buckshot Roulette comes a terminal hacking game about gaining "root access into an unethical superstructure". While you'll spend a lot of time typing commands into a DOS-like OS, s.p.l.i.t. also has you leaving your desk and navigating a grimy looking workshop that could very well be situated in Silent Hill. This is a short and sweet narrative driven affair from a solo dev who knows how to make richly atmospheric horror. and Roger Steam page Release: July 24Developer: TearyHand Studio and Roger is a short visual novel with a bizarre, vaguely discomforting premise. One morning a young girl wakes up and finds that her father has been replaced by a complete stranger. She promptly leaves the house. I've got no idea what happens next, but if the storytelling in the game is anywhere near as good as it is in the Steam description (seriously, go have a look), this one will definitely be worth the hour it takes to complete.
