NBB seals strategic deals with top developers at Bahrain summit

The National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) has signed five MoUs with prominent real estate companies during its participation in the recent Innovation Summit in Social Housing 2025.
The summit which concludes tomorrow (April 25) at the Exhibition World Bahrain (EWB) has gathered key industry stakeholders to collaborate on advancing national housing ambitions.
NBB formalised the MoUs at its dedicated stand with ERA Real Estate, Kayan Real Estate, Delmon Gate, Best Location Properties, and Al Janabiya Gate.
The agreements aim to offer social housing beneficiaries access to a broad range of property options backed by NBB's financing solutions such as its new Tas'heel+ product, said the bank in a statement.
The Bank will work closely with each company to facilitate hassle-free purchase experiences for customers throughout their homeownership journey, it stated.
Through these collaborations, the Bank will further expand its mortgage finance portfolio to offer a more diversified pool of properties aligned with the financing needs of prospective buyers, it added.
Speaking on the occasion, Subah Abdullatif Al Zayani, Chief Executive – Retail Banking at NBB said: "We are pleased to sign these agreements, each reflecting a shared commitment to simplify property acquisition for eligible customers under social housing schemes. By combining our financing and advisory expertise with the market presence of our partners, we are building a more efficient and responsive ecosystem that supports homeownership aspirations across the Kingdom.'
These MoUs underscore NBB's strategic approach to streamline financing for qualified buyers of government-backed projects and bring them closer to a network of trusted real estate providers, he stated.

The draw for the July 2025 Grand Prize took place on Wednesday at the Bank's headquarters in Bahrain Bay, in the presence of the Bank's marketing team, internal and external auditors, and under the supervision of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce. This July Grand Prize comes as part of the leading 'Al Barakat' Prize Scheme, through which Al Baraka Islamic Bank continues to offer valuable cash prizes to its customers throughout the year. The Al Barakat Grand Prizes for this year comprise various awards, making it one of the most attractive scheme with a total of USD 4 million in prizes. Additionally, the Bank organised a surprise special draw under the 'Al Barakat' programme, where 40 lucky customers each won cash prizes of USD 400, amounting to a total of USD 16,000. Individuals of all nationalities over the age of 18 can open an Al Barakat Investment Account through Al Baraka Islamic Bank's mobile application without needing to visit a branch. 2,584 families benefit from housing finance programmes

A total of 2,584 housing finance applications, across the Tas'heel, Tas'heel+, Mazaya, and Mazaya (New Category) programmes, have been approved in the first half of 2025. This was announced by the Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, Her Excellency Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi. She noted that since the programme's launch in 2022, a total of 10,163 applications have been accepted, with 82% of beneficiaries transferred from the traditional service waiting lists to immediate financing services. Al Rumaihi emphasised that the Tas'heel Aqari option remains the most in-demand, accounting for over 5,000 applications, followed by Mazaya, the Mazaya (New Category), Tas'heel Al Bait Al Oud, and Tas'heel Ta'awon.
