SB19's Justin is giving 'Spirited Away' vibes in Jiufen Old Street photos

GMA Network4 days ago
SB19 member Justin took to social media to share dreamy photos taken at Jiufen Old Street in Taiwan, a location that has long drawn comparisons to the enchanting world of Studio Ghibli's 'Spirited Away.'
In the photos he shared on Instagram, Justin could be seen exploring the picturesque alleyways and staircases of Jiufen surrounded by red lanterns.
Another photo he uploaded shows himself gazing out from the window of a charming teahouse cloaked in vines and red lanterns.
According to an article by National Geographic, while Japanese filmmaker Hayao Miyazaki has denied that Jiufen was an inspiration for 'Spirited Away,' many have still drawn a connection to it through its resemblance to the settings in the movie.
SB19 just had a sold-out show in Taipei.
After their successful concert, the P-pop Kings went around Taiwan, looking like stars of 'Meteor Garden.'
SB19 dropped their "Simula at Wakas" EP in April. It includes the songs "DAM" and "DUNGKA!"

‘Alice in Borderland' S3 comes to Netflix in September

The long wait is almost over! Netflix has officially announced that Season 3 of the hit Japanese series 'Alice in Borderland' is set to premiere on September 25, diving back into its high-stakes world of survival and suspense. Directed by Shinsuke Sato and based on Haro Aso's bestselling manga of the same title, the new season sees Kento Yamazaki and Tao Tsuchiya return as Arisu and Usagi. A newly released poster shows the two desperately reaching for each other, capturing the show's signature life-or-death tension. 'Alice in Borderland' follows Arisu, a teenager trapped in an apocalyptic version of Tokyo known as the Borderlands, where he must survive deadly games tied to playing cards. The first season in 2020 tackled games linked to numbered cards, while Season 2 in 2022 introduced a more intense battle with Jack, Ace, King, and Queen face cards. It ended with the surviving players waking up in the real world, where a meteor strike had caused the chaos that led them into the Borderlands. — Hermes Joy Tunac/LA, GMA Integrated News
