Love Island's Harry Cooksley: Everything to know about the 2025 contestant - age, job, Instagram & latest news

Cosmopolitan12-06-2025
Season 12 of Love Island is currently underway, and it's all happening in the villa.
One of the contestants who is causing a little bit of tension right now is semi-professional footballer, gold trader and model Harry Cooksley.
Harry was picked by Shakira Khan (who currently has about five guys interested in her, including new boy Shea Mannings) after Toni Laites stole Ben Holbrough from her and put her at risk of going home.
Harry seemed very pleased that he'd been picked, but on Wednesday night's episode, he got a telling off from Shakira after the girls noticed that he was rubbing both hers and Helena's legs during the game of dares.
As Love Island continues, read on for everything you need to know about Harry, including what his life is like outside of the show.
BTW, Harry is England footballer Declan Rice's body double!
Job: Gold trader, semi-professional footballer and model
Lives: Guildford
Harry Cooksley is one of the contestants on this year's Love Island. He was part of the starting line-up and was originally in a couple with Sophie Lee, before she was dumped from the villa.
Outside of the villa, Harry works as a gold trader, semi-professional footballer and model, particularly as England footballer Declan Rice's body double.
When asked what his claim to fame is, Harry said ahead of the show: "I'm the body double for Declan Rice. So when he does a shoot, any body close ups will actually be me. You'll never see my face, but you'll see my shoulder or chest, that kind of thing."
Harry is 30-years-old, and the oldest Islander on season 12 so far.
Shakira said she chose Harry because of his age and thought that he might be mature, but after he was spotted rubbing both her and Helena's legs, she's not too sure anymore.
He is.
You can follow Harry at harrycooksley8, where he currently has just over 15k followers - a number that's sure to grow following his Love Island stint.
Harry is currently in a couple with Shakira Khan, but how long they'll stay in this couple remains to be seen.
He's also been getting to know Helena Ford, and was previously in a couple with Sophie Lee before she was dumped.
Harry currently plays for Farnham Town as a midfielder. He joined from Hartley Witney in May 2023.
Other previous clubs include Aldershot Town, Farnborough and a stint in Austria for FC Pinzgau.
On Farnham Town's official website, Harry's player profile reads: "Cooksley is a midfield maestro, known for his sensational ball-playing abilities. The midfielder joined from Hartley Wintney in May 2023 having finished the campaign playing at Step Three.
"The orchestrator whips in a mean dead ball and is the designated penalty taker at the club."
Love Island airs on ITV2 at 9pm on weekdays and Sundays.

Love Island spoilers: Former contestants return to the villa to dump couple hours before final

We're just one day away from the finale of Love Island 2025 (*cry*), but one couple won't be making it to the end of the series, which airs on 4 August. In a brutal twist, a string of former Love Island contestants from this season have returned to the villa, and who they choose to dump has been described as "savage". "Familiar faces make a savage choice," Love Island's First Look on Instagram reads, with a clip showing the likes of Harrison, Alima, Emily and Tommy returning to the villa. The preview has prompted plenty of fans to speculate how the former Islanders will make their decision, with lots of viewers concerned that their favourites will be given the boot. "Worst ever decision to let a group of biased and bitter people back to vote," one person commented on the post, as someone else said: "You better not let us down Islanders... do the right thing." The Islanders' decision won't come totally out of the blue, though, as they'll pick who to dump based on the public's previous compatibility vote – which already sent Conor and Megan packing last week. "As you know, last night Megan and Conor were dumped as a result of receiving the least amount of votes for most compatible couple," Maya tells the Islanders on tonight's episode. "I'm now going to reveal the two other couples who received the fewest votes and are at risk of being dumped from the Island." Going on, Maya reveals that "one more couple" will be dumped from the villa there and then. "And that decision will be made by some very familiar faces." "Welcome back guys," she says, addressing this season's former contestants. "You must now individually decide which couple is the least compatible. The couple with the most votes will be dumped from the Island immediately." As for who is dumped in tonight's episode, we'll have to wait and see. Although, according to a source who spoke to the Mail Online, the pair that's sent packing have been a "big part" of the series, resulting in a "shocking" moment when their departure is announced. We! Can't! Wait!

Prince Harry responds to claims he had bloody brawl with Prince Andrew over Meghan Markle remarks

Prince Harry has firmly denied ever rolling up his sleeves to confront his uncle, Prince Andrew, over alleged comments about his wife, Meghan Markle. The Duke of Sussex, 40, was said to have left the disgraced Duke of York with a 'bloody nose' following a 'heated argument' more than a decade ago, according to an excerpt of Andrew Lownie's new book, 'Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York,' obtained by the Daily Mail. Lownie, who wrote the book about Prince Andrew and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, claimed that Harry lost his cool after his uncle uttered a comment about the 'Suits' alum, 43, 'behind Harry's back.' 4 Prince Harry has firmly denied ever rolling up his sleeves to confront his uncle, Prince Andrew, over alleged comments about his wife, Meghan Markle. Getty Images The royal author alleged that Andrew had called the former actress an 'opportunist.' 'I can confirm neither of those things are true,' the Invictus Games founder's rep told Us Weekly of the alleged altercation. 'Prince Harry and Prince Andrew have never had a physical fight, nor did Prince Andrew ever make those comments about the Duchess of Sussex to Prince Harry.' The excerpt further alleged that 'punches were thrown' and that Andrew — who has recently won his yearslong fight to stay at the Royal Lodge — emerged from the fight with a bloody nose. 4 The disgraced Duke of York was said to have been left with a 'bloody nose' following a 'heated argument' with Harry more than a decade ago. Getty Images The Post has reached out to reps for the Sussexes for further comment. It's no secret that the Sussex camp has been embroiled in a yearslong feud with the Windsor clan since quitting royal life in 2020 and moving across the pond. The pair, who wed in 2018, have been totally estranged from the royal family for more than half a decade as they continue to live in Montecito, Calif., while raising son Archie, 6, and daughter Lilibet, 4. 4 The royal author alleged that Andrew had called the 'Suits' alum an 'opportunist.' 'Harry has shifted into a new way of thinking. The tone is now all about 'deconflicting' with his family,' a source recently told the Daily Mail. 'That's why his household agreed to draw up a 'grid' of his activities and share them with Buckingham Palace, and by extension with Kensington Palace.' What's more, the offer has reportedly also been extended to the Prince and Princess of Wales, who have not spoken to the Sussexes in years. 4 The Sussexes tied the knot in 2018 — just two years before quitting royal life and moving to the US. Still, it's said that Charles is 'cautious and wary' of his estranged son's overdue attempt at gluing the family back together.
