More ‘forever homes' open for people living with disability
Disability housing provider Habilitas has worked with KPA Architects to provide the latest development in Gosnells.
It is South Perth-based Habilitas' second specialist disability accommodation development in WA after its first, a KPA Architects-designed modular-built development in Geraldton.
It includes two three-bedroom houses and will house up to six NDIS participants and two overnight assistants.
The properties include SDA-compliant kitchens and adaptive technology such as ceiling tracks and hoists in bedrooms, adjustable benches, sliding doors and ensuites for each bedroom.
'Our mission is to create a 'forever home' for people with disability, a home of their own where they can live independently for the long term,' Habilitas director Todd Paterson said.
'Following on from our success with the Geraldton development, we're incredibly proud to see our first development open to participants in Perth — a development which will be the first of many.'
