Darts power couple SPLIT after four years together - after Queen of Ally Pally Farron Sherrock's boyfriend missed her World Matchplay final

Daily Mail2 days ago
Darts power couple Fallon Sherrock and Cameron Menzies have split after four years.
They first met while playing in an online darts league and competed in a doubles team, and Menzies revealed he then wooed Sherrock over a KFC.
Their shock break-up was first revealed by Vincent van der Voort, the winner of four ranking PDC titles, on a podcast. Speaking on Darts Draait Door, he admitted Sherrock had confided in him but was left in the dark over the reason for the decision.
Presenter Damian Vlottes said: 'They broke up - you told me.'
Van der Voort then replied: 'True, yes. But what else do you want me to say about it? I don't work for a gossip magazine. I don't know the exact reason either.
'She told me and I didn't ask why.'
Neither Sherrock nor Menzies have publicly confirmed the break-up.
The bombshell news came after Sherrock returned to TV screens on Sunday after reaching the Women's World Matchplay final at Winter Gardens.
However, Menzies, who would normally be in the crowd to cheer on his girlfriend, was nowhere to be seen, suggesting all was not well away from the oche.
This was despite him also being in Blackpool himself for the Men's World Matchplay earlier in the week. Sherrock lost the final to Lisa Ashton while Menzies suffered a 10-2 defeat at the hands of Danny Noppert in the first round of his tournament.
Menzies also crashed out with an average of 81.35, and after busting a 180.
Lifting the lid on the earliest days of his relationship with Sherrock, Menzies admitted 'it started off with a KFC'. He said: 'I had known Fallon for years in darts and played doubles with her years ago. We met in an online league in Southampton.
'The rest is history as they say. It started off with a KFC.'
They used to practice together at home, with Sherrock often getting the better of him.
He previously told Sky Sports: 'We enjoy our practice together and she is a very class player. She has done well for darts in general and is banging in 90 averages and 100 averages, I'm quite lucky I've got a very good partner who can play darts.
'It's good in the house unless she beats me and I've got to make the food. I don't like it when she beats me. I will support her left, right and centre. I am her biggest fan.
'I might be a bit strict, but I know how good she is. I've known her for a very long time and I know she is very, very good. She's taken me places I would never have experienced because of darts, so I'm a very lucky person.'
Menzies acted as a father figure to Sherrock's son Rory, from another relationship.

Transfer news live: Liverpool reach Isak agreement, Arsenal's Eze stance, Spurs want Palhinha

The summer transfer window quickly heading towards its conclusion and teams are attempting to strengthen their squads ahead of the new season. Arsenal have completed the signings of forward Viktor Gyokeres and now have their sights on Crystal Palace's Eberechi Eze. Palace want a fee in excess of £60m but the Gunners are not willing to go that high and negotiations continue. Liverpool have made plenty of signings this summer and have sold winger Luis Diaz to Bayern Munich for £65m. They are interested in bringing Newcastle's Alexander Isak to the club after he requested to 'explore his options' and have reportedly agreed personal terms with the striker. Newcastle value him at £150m but Liverpool will hope to reduce that if they put in an official bid. Elsewhere, Manchester United are still hopeful of securing a No.9 before the start of the season but may need to offload some players. Marcus Rashford has already completed a loan move to Barcelona while Jadon Sancho has seen a move to Juventus stall though he could be set to return to Borussia Dortmund instead. Napoli considering Sterling and Grealish? Sky reports that Napoli are looking at Raheem Sterling and Jack Grealish as alternative wing targets, though Bologna's Dan Ndoye remains their priority. Some club leaders have even speculated that it might arrive in the campaign's second international break, from 4-18 October, given previous patterns regarding similar cases. An outcome was expected last season, given that the hearing concluded in early December. Anthony Joshua's trainer delivers damning verdict on proposed Jake Paul fight

Anthony Joshua 's trainer, Ben Davison, has said there is a 'serious risk' attached to a potential fight between Joshua and Jake Paul. Davison slammed those calling for the fight, saying that safety must come first and the possibility of something going wrong should be enough to stop the fight from happening, but he fears it won't. Davison told Boxing Scene: 'I don't like all that [a fight with Paul]. First and foremost, how can people even talk about that? Two, where's the safety aspect in boxing? Do you know what I mean? There is a serious risk with something going wrong. 'Unfortunately, it might take something like that for people to be like, 'Hold on, we've got to reconfigure this'. But somebody would pass it, someone would allow it, somebody would sanction it. ' The YouTuber-turned-boxer is coming off an impressive decision victory over former WBC champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr at the end of June, which saw him subsequently ranked at No 14 in the WBA cruiserweight rankings. But Paul seems to have temporarily abandoned his pursuit of a cruiserweight title in favour of calling out Joshua, and the two have shared exchanges both publicly and privately. Joshua suffered a devastating knockout loss to Daniel Dubois at Wembley in September last year and has since undergone surgery on his elbow. He has been linked with many names for his comeback fight, which his promoter Eddie Hearn has hinted at taking place before the end of the year, such as Martin Bakole and, most recently, Olympic gold medalist Tony Yoka. It appears that a fight between Joshua and Tyson Fury is being targeted for 2026. But Turki Alalsikh has suggested he would like to see both men fight again before sharing the ring, which has sparked rumours of a potential showdown with Paul. Davison agrees with this sentiment as a result of Joshua's extended time away from the sport, but has not ruled out jumping straight into a big fight next. Davison explained: 'I think you have to see how he feels. It's been a long time – he's had operations, injuries. It might be a case of he might need a tune-up. Again, in the heavyweights, the landscape can change so quickly, and if an opportunity pops up and you're ready, you never know.' Anne meets Ukrainian band at Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo rehearsal

Princess Anne has met performers for this year's Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, including members of a Ukrainian naval band playing for the first time since the full-scale war began. The Princess Royal wore sunglasses and the Tattoo's official tartan as she watched a rehearsal at Redford Barracks in the Scottish capital. She watched international teams perform their displays of military drill, music and dancing ahead of the show's run beginning at Edinburgh Castle later this week. As well as military bands from the UK's armed forces, this year's show will feature performers from the US, Poland and Switzerland. This year will see members of the Centre for Military Music of the Ukrainian Navy make their debut. The Odessa-based orchestra are engaged in rehabilitation projects as well as a number of cultural programmes. This year will also be the first time Adam Lane has stepped in as the Tattoo's creative director. A theatre director by trade, he is also a reservist with the Royal Engineers. The theme for this year – the 75th for the Tattoo – will be 'the heroes who made us' – with each night of the show's run celebrating a significant figure. Mr Lane told the PA news agency: 'The team here are fantastic, they've been making shows for decades, so I'm very confident they're a great team and they'll do a great job.' He added: 'International acts have always been an important component of the show and this year's no different. 'I'm absolutely delighted to welcome our brothers and sisters from Ukraine. 'Like all international acts, they've come to represent the best of their nation. 'We have some extraordinary Ukrainian military music and some Ukrainian cultural dancing as well so I think the audience are going to really enjoy that.'
