Schools rugby wrap: Five-star Muller reaches amazing milestone as Paarl Gim crushes Boland
The visitors triumphed 80-19 to maintain their unbeaten record in 2025.
During the match, Muller reached the amazing milestone of 50 tries for the Paarl Gim 1st XV, and the outside centre was also successful with nine out of 10 goal kicks for a total haul of 43 points.

In the two Cape Town southern suburbs derbies on Saturday, Wynberg won 21-10 at SACS, while hosts Rondebosch beat Bishops 28-7.
In Johannesburg, fullback Sicelo Sakawuli scored two tries in St Stithians College's 25-21 win over St John's College. Flyhalf Oliver Wilson kicked two conversions and two penalties for the victorious hosts.

Fans wearing Springbok jerseys back national team
Springbok fans gathered on Saturday afternoon at Die Kantoor Pub and Restaurant in Lynnwood to support their team against Georgia. As was expected, the Springboks crushed Georgia 55–10 in their international July campaign held at Bombela stadium. Chef Shane Martin from the restaurant said fans had a great time watching the match, enjoying food and drinks. Rugby supporters arrived early to get their seats before the start of the match. Edwin Magangane said singing the national anthem and wearing the Springbok jersey is his way to show support and encourage the Boks to play their best. He encouraged everyone to always support the national team by wearing the national team's jerseys. 'Watching the national team play at the restaurant is always fun, especially when we win and luckily, the Boks don't disappoint,' said Magangane. The fans were also celebrating the Springboks' successful stint in the season so far and many agreed the road ahead of the rugby championship looked bright. The Springboks' next match will be against Australia on August 16, followed by New Zealand on August 23. Fans are certain to flock to the big screens again to support their team. Applause for Umdoni athletes
Less than a minute South Coast Herald Less than a minute Umdoni Local Municipality participated in Ugu District Municipality's Mayoral Cup at the Ugu Sports and Leisure Centre last week. Ray Nkonyeni Local Municipality was crowned champs, and Umdoni, Umzumbe and Umuziwabantu local municipalities received trophies and medals for their first-place rankings in various categories. The chilly weather did not dampen the spirits of hundreds of athletes. The Umdoni team participated in all sport codes – soccer, volleyball, indigenous games, netball, karate and chess. The team achieved first place in indigenous games and an overall third position. Sacha on missed kicks: 'Off target, not off track'
Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu has reacted to criticism of his performance in the Springboks game against Georgia at the Mbombela Stadium on Saturday, 19 July. The flyhalf came under fire after missing a series of crucial penalty kicks. Last year, Sacha was inducted into the national rugby team and has made nine test match appearances. In an Instagram post, Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu directly responded to criticism of his missed penalty kicks. Posting a series of pics from Saturday's game, he shared: 'Off target — Not off track. Great experience out in Nelspruit! Thank you, South Africa.' On social media, rugby fans claimed that Sacha had gotten off lightly as compared to fellow flyhalf Manie Libbok, who has often been criticised over his performances. Meanwhile, Rassie Erasmus has conceded that while Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu 'made the most errors', he was 'pleased' with his performance. In a post-match briefing, the Springbok coach said: 'Sacha is not necessarily the first choice. Number ten, we have Manie, who is pretty much on song, and we saw with Handre when he came on that he is pretty solid. 'You can't just look at his goal kicking. He struggled before doing pretty well, but in the warm-up he got a hip pointer injury and we weren't quite sure if we should push him through the game. But he wanted to play, but that's not an excuse for the way he kicked at poles. Rassie added: 'We are pleased overall, it's his second start for us this year and he is younger than the other fly-halves.'
