Nebraska getting visit from key running back target this weekend
Nebraska football is set to host class of 2026 running back target Jamal Rule. He is coming to Lincoln from June 13- 15th.
Rule is the 41st overall running back in the 2026 class and the 31st overall player in his class from the state of North Carolina, according to the On3 Industry Rankings. He has visited Nebraska once before Friday's visit. He took a trip to Lincoln on November 23, 2024.
The running back has had a busy summer. He took a visit to Syracuse on May 30, Virginia Tech on June 6, and has a visit set up for Michigan State on June 20. All of these visits will be official.
Rule ran for 1,236 yards and 15 touchdowns last year. He had seven games of 100 yards or more, and averaged 176.6 yards per contest, per statistics from Maxpreps.com.
The Huskers are trying to add one more running back for the 2026 class. Rule would be a key get, with other targets beginning to come off the board.

Spartans reportedly in communication with high-end 4-star SF prospect
A major small forward prospect in the 2026 class has reportedly been in talks with Michigan State basketball recently. Michigan State was one of a few schools Southside Hoops recently mentioned as being in contact with four-star small forward Anthony Felesi. According to Southside Hoops, Felesi has been "hearing" from Michigan State, Kentucky, Duke, Purdue, Michigan and Missouri recently. Felesi is a high-end four-star prospect, with a recruiting rating of 98.27 in 247Sports' composite system. He ranks as the No. 20 small forward and No. 47 overall prospect in 247Sports' composite rankings. He is also listed as the No. 2 player from Utah. He does, however, hold offers from more than 10 schools, including Louisville, UCLA, BYU, LSU, Cal, Oregon, UNLV, Utah, Villanova, Utah State and USF. Michigan State currently holds one commitment in its 2026 class in point guard Carlos Medlock Jr. So we should keep an eye on the Spartans potentially further pursuing Felesi as a small forward prospect. Cardinals training camp: CB Garrett Williams getting work outside
Garrett Williams could become an every-down player with the injury to Star Thomas. The season-ending injury to cornerback Star Thomas V brought a new and exciting wrinkle to the Arizona Cardinals' defense in training camp on Sunday. We might get to see even more from Garrett Williams in 2025, who became one of the better slot cornerbacks in the league last year. With Thomas on injured reserve, Williams is now getting work outside. Williams has played almost exclusively in the slot in the season and a half he has played (he missed the first half of his rookie season recovering from a torn ACL he suffered in his final season at Syracuse), but many have wondered if he could also play and succeed on the outside. If Sunday's practice is a preview of what the regular season will be, Williams will be an every-down player and will play both inside and out. Could this be similar to what happened with Byron Muprhy? Murphy was used almost exclusively as the Cardinals' nickel corner, but injuries forced him to play more outside, where he has flourished. Playing Williams in base downs would give the defense a little more experience on the field. Otherwise, it would be Max Melton, who played less than 600 snaps as a rookie last season, and rookie Will Johnson in base downs. It will be something to watch as training camp continues and the preseason begins.
