Police in England are reportedly assessing the Glastonbury performance of Kneecap.
Earlier this afternoon, the west Belfast trio performed a set on the West Holts stage, which was closed around 45 minutes before their performance due to capacity.
During their performance they led the crowd in chants of 'Free Mo Chara and f*** Keir Starmer' during their Glastonbury set, while also thanking the organisers for not bowing to pressure to cancel their performance.
However, in a post on social media Avon and Somerset Police said: 'We are aware of the comments made by acts on the West Holts Stage at Glastonbury Festival this afternoon.
'Video evidence will be assessed by officers to determine whether any offences may have been committed that would require a criminal investigation.'
According to the Manchester Evening News, the acts being reportedly assessed by police are Kneecap and singer Bob Vylan, who performed prior to the group.

Kneecap's performance came just hours after the BBC, Glastonbury's long-time broadcaster, announced it would not be streaming the set live. Instead, a spokesperson said it may be added to their streaming service, BBC iPlayer, 'later this evening.'
After performing several tracks, the band addressed the crowd, referencing Mo Chara – real name Liam Óg Ó hAnnaidh – and his appearance in court earlier this month, where he was accused of displaying a flag in support of the proscribed organisation Hezbollah.
The charge relates to an incident at a London concert last November, where the rapper was alleged to have held up a Hezbollah flag and encouraged support for both Hezbollah and Hamas from the stage.
He denies the allegations and has been released on unconditional bail ahead of a further court hearing in August.
The charge sparked widespread political and public debate, with Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer stating it would be 'inappropriate' for the group to perform at Glastonbury.

Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch called for the BBC to refrain from broadcasting Kneecap's set.
The controversy was addressed when the band took to the stage this afternoon.
'You might have seen that Mo Chara was in Westminster's courts this month,' said band member Móglaí Bap to the crowd.

Describing the charges as 'trumped-up terrorism,' he added: 'This is not the first time there's been a miscarriage of justice for an Irish person in the British justice system.
'We will start a riot outside the court [next month],' he said, before joking: 'The papers will love that. That's for the Daily Mail.'
He later clarified: 'I don't want anyone to riot – just love and support. And more importantly, support for Palestine.'
Mo Chara said 'Glastonbury, I'm a free man' as the Irish rap trio took to the stage. He went on to thank the long-time owners and organisers of Glastonbury, the Eavis family.
Sir Michael Eavis had earlier said that people who do not agree with the politics of the event "can go somewhere else".

'The pressure that they were under – fair play to them. They had the Prime Minister of your country – not mine – saying he didn't want us to play. F*** Keir Starmer.
'The stress of our situation can be hard at times,' he added, 'but it's nothing compared to what the Palestinian people are going through every day.
'We're from west Belfast, a place still under British occupation – as well as Derry. The Irish have suffered under occupation and colonisation.
'But we were never bombed from the skies with nowhere to go – not only starved to death, but kids being starved to death, and we're all watching it. We all have phones.'

They later called Israel 'war criminals' and said: 'It's a genocide. The number of Palestinian flags here is incredible. The BBC editor is going to have a tough job tonight.'
The band then led the audience in chants of 'Free Palestine,' with one member shouting: 'Glastonbury, I am so f***ng proud of you.
'This is the biggest crowd we have ever played.'

During their set, the group also referred to the Prime Minister as 'a s*** Jeremy Corbyn,' in reference to the Labour Party's former leader.
They also said: 'We don't hate the English, we hate the English government'.

Later, just before their final song, the band added: 'We want to thank Glastonbury for standing by us, and standing by Palestine - and the truth.
'One day it will be controversial for bands and people who didn't speak out about Palestine. We will remember them and so will history.'

On Friday, the band released a short film calling for an arms embargo against Israel.
The film, which was posted on the Irish rappers' social media channels, is entitled Stop the Genocide and features testimony from a plastic surgeon, an emergency physician, a Palestinian activist, and an artist.
The video opens with the voice of Mo Chara saying: 'Genocide is a crime against humanity.'
Earlier on Saturday, the BBC confirmed they would not be live-streaming the set but said the performance is likely to be made available on-demand later.

A BBC spokesperson said: 'As the broadcast partner, the BBC is bringing audiences extensive music coverage from Glastonbury, with artists booked by the festival organisers.
'While the BBC doesn't ban artists, our plans ensure that our programming meets our editorial guidelines.
'We don't always live-stream every act from the main stages and look to make an on-demand version of Kneecap's performance available on our digital platforms, alongside more than 90 other sets.'

It is understood the BBC needs to consider the performance before making a final decision.
The band said on Instagram: 'The propaganda wing of the regime has just contacted us….
'They WILL put our set from Glastonbury today on the iPlayer later this evening for your viewing pleasure.'
O hAnnaidh, 27, was charged with allegedly displaying a flag in support of proscribed terrorist organisation Hezbollah, while saying 'up Hamas, up Hezbollah' at a gig in November last year.
On June 18 the rapper was cheered by hundreds of supporters as he arrived with bandmates Naoise O Caireallain and JJ O Dochartaigh at Westminster Magistrates' Court in Free Mo Chara T-shirts.

He was released on unconditional bail until the next hearing at the same court on August 20.
Ahead of the group's performance, Gemma Gibson, 41, from Newcastle told the PA news agency that she was 'really excited' to see Kneecap perform.
Asked if their set should have been cancelled amid the ongoing controversy, she said: 'Well, that would be completely against everything that Glastonbury stands for… This is where they should be.'
Also playing on Saturday afternoon were Leeds rock band Kaiser Chiefs and US star Brandi Carlile, who released an album with Sir Elton John earlier in the year.

Irish singer CMAT, who played the Pyramid Stage on Friday, performed a secret set at the BBC Introducing stage on Saturday.
Celebrities who have been spotted at the festival include singer Harry Styles, Oscar-winning actor Eddie Redmayne, The Crown actor Emma Corrin, and Stranger Things star Joseph Quinn.
Performing in the coveted Sunday legends slot this year is Sir Rod Stewart, who previously said he will be joined by his former Faces band member Ronnie Wood, as well as other guests.
The BBC is providing livestreams of the five main stages: Pyramid, Other, West Holts, Woodsies and The Park.

Charli XCX brings Brat back to Glastonbury in electric performance

Charli XCX brought Brat back to Glastonbury Festival on Saturday night in an electric performance that saw her dancing along with an energetic crowd. Her set on the Other Stage marked just over a year following the release of her culture-shaping sixth studio album, which inspired the "Brat summer" trend. "It's summertime and I was thinking about last summer - did anyone have a Brat summer?" she said. The singer, wearing an all-black ensemble including sunglasses and knee-high boots, began her set with 360 and Von Dutch. The 32-year-old, who recently played Malahide Castle in Dublin, played her Partygirl set at the festival in 2024, but this time the singer took to a much bigger stage amid a year that has seen her pick up a slew of awards. She launched into upbeat dance track Club Classics after the two opening songs. "These are all of my people who are going to (late night music venue) Block9 tonight", she said. Alongside the songs from her new album, she performed tracks from her back catalogue, treating revellers to Unlock It (Lock It), Party 4 U, Vroom Vroom, and Speed Drive – which appeared on the Barbie movie soundtrack. Performing her viral Apple dance at the show was US singer Gracie Abrams who had played on the same stage a day earlier. During her gigs Charli XCX often gets a famous person to perform the dance, which started as a trend on TikTok. The British singer also performed her version of Guess with US superstar Billie Eilish and Girl, So Confusing with Lorde, though neither appeared for the Glastonbury performance. Before ending her set on crowd-pleasing number one hit I Love It, featuring Icona Pop, she danced while water poured down from the stage ceiling amid a rendition of Blame It On Your Love. In recent months the singer, real name Charlotte Aitchison, has been performing at festivals across the globe, including Coachella in California, Primavera Sound in Barcelona and a headline slot at Lido Festival in London. Following the release of Brat, her infectious electronic-pop tracks soared up the charts and inspired a trend, with fans embracing the "Brat summer" cultural movement. The accolades followed, and in March she dominated the Brit Awards, winning five categories including songwriter of the year. She also secured album of the year, artist of the year, dance act, and song of the year for her track Guess featuring Eilish. In February she picked up three awards at the Grammys and she was named songwriter of the year at The Ivors in May.

Who are the punk duo Bob Vylan, in the spotlight after Glastonbury set?

Footage of punk duo Bob Vylan's Glastonbury Festival performance is being assessed by Avon and Somerset Police to see whether any offences may have been committed. The duo, made up of Bobby Vylan and Bobbie Vylan, led crowds at the West Holts Stage in a chant of "death, death to the IDF" as they performed before Irish rap trio Kneecap. But who are Bob Vylan? Formed in Ipswich in 2017, both members of Bob Vylan keep their real names secret to maintain their privacy. The band's musical style is an innovative mix of grime, punk and hard rock, and they have released four albums, Dread (2019), We Live Here (2020), Bob Vylan Presents The Price Of Life (2022), and Humble as the Sun (2024). They won best alternative music act at the Mobo Awards in 2022, and best album at the Kerrang awards in 2022 for Bob Vylan Presents The Price Of Life. They have collaborated with Amyl And The Sniffers singer Amy Taylor, Soft Play guitarist Laurie Vincent and rock band Kid Kapichi. What do their performances entail? Bob Vylan perform a high energy set of sampled guitar tracks mixed with live drumming from Bobbie, and the band often see their audiences pogoing and moshing, but they make an effort to ensure the crowd acts safely. The band's songs often speak out against racism, homophobia, toxic masculinity and far right politics, and the track Pretty Songs is often introduced by Bobby saying that "violence is the only language that some people understand". In their early days Bobby would sometimes wield a baseball bat, thrashing it in the direction of the crowd, and carry out other provocative actions such as wearing the football shirt of the rivals of the town or city in which they were playing. Recently the band has become less confrontational, and Bobbie regularly performs a drum solo to the late Roy Ayers' chilled out Everybody Loves The Sunshine. During their Glastonbury set, Bobby brought out his daughter to sing with him on Dream Bigger. Have they been in the news before? In 2021, the Norwich Evening News reported that one fan was on the end of a tirade from Bobby, after he was hit by an ice cube while performing in an Ipswich Town shirt, and the gig was said to have been halted while the singer ranted. Bobby is also said to have wielded a baseball bat at the gig, and the news article was headlined "the frost and the fury". Sarah Corbett, from Norwich, who was on the receiving end of the alleged tirade, told the newspaper: "We were all having fun on the dance floor. I'd put an ice cube down my friend's top for a laugh. "Another girl then threw it at her friend, but it missed and landed at his feet. "At that point he stopped the gig and demanded to know who had thrown it. "Seeing the girl's face drop, I decided to take the flak and announced it was me. He started abusing me through the microphone. "As I tried to leave, one of his fans tried to grab me by the throat." A band spokesman told the paper after the incident that they "completely refute any wrongdoing" and that Bobby "did not want to engage".

The Script pay tribute to late guitarist Mark Sheehan during Glastonbury set

The Script frontman Danny O'Donoghue paid tribute to former band member Mark Sheehan during their Glastonbury performance. Guitarist Sheehan died aged 46 after a brief illness in April 2023 and had formed the band alongside O'Donoghue and drummer Glen Power. During their performance on the Pyramid Stage, O'Donoghue said: "There's one person I really wish was here to see this. He was on this stage 17 years ago. We lost my best mate and the founding member of the script, Mark Sheehan. "We lost him nearly a year and a half ago. I just wanted to thank every single person here for keeping us going, for all your thoughts and all your prayers. Thank you so much "I know he's having a whisky right now looking down on us." He went on to dedicate the band's song If You Could See Me Now to Sheehan. The Script was formed in Dublin in 2001. Their eponymous debut album was released in 2008 and it went to number one in both the UK and Ireland. It featured hits such as We Cry, Breakeven, and The Man Who Can't Be Moved. Among their other studio albums are chart-topping LPs Science And Faith (2010) and Freedom Child (2017). Their most recent studio album, Satellites, was released in August 2024. O'Donoghue, 44, is also known for being one of the original coaches on reality TV competition series The Voice UK.
