Former Grantchester star Charlotte Ritchie has revealed she hasn't watched the show since her departure, stating that it "can be a little bit painful" to see the series progress without her.
Charlotte, who portrayed Bonnie Davenport on the hit ITV detective drama from its seventh season until the recent ninth instalment, discussed her feelings about leaving the show with an honest admission that she's not caught up with the current episodes.

Talking about the latest series of Granchester with Radio Times, she explained: "I haven't (watched), only because there's something about watching something after you've left that can be a little bit painful. But I'm so pleased."

The actress heaped praise on Rishi Nair for his portrayal of Reverend Alphy Kotteram, noting: "I think he's doing a brilliant job, Rishi [Nair], as the new vicar, and we got to cross over and hang out a bit, which was really nice.

"He's a really nice guy. And Tom [Brittney, who played Reverend Will Davenport], I think, directed some of the episodes, so they've obviously crossed over," reports Cambridgeshire Live.

Expressing admiration for her former colleagues, Charlotte commended the entire cast and crew of Granchester, acknowledging the warm environment on set.
She continued: "I mean, you've got some really pro actors there: Kacey [Ainsworth], Tessa [Peake-Jones], Robson [Green] and Al [Weaver], and Tom is so lovely. They're really top notch. So I felt in really good company," adding to her praises.

"But I think it was time to move on. Although I do miss that wig," she reflected on leaving behind the blonde wig she donned in the series, adding, "I didn't want to move on from it."
Though she has waved goodbye to Grantchester, Charlotte made a comeback as Kate Lockwood in the climactic fifth and final season of Netflix's psychological thriller You, tying up the intense narrative of serial killer Joe Goldberg in an eagerly awaited concluding chapter.
Charlotte joined the cast of the hit show You in 2023, as the drama moved its backdrop to London for an extravagantly executed fourth season.

Love Island ‘winners' revealed ahead of least loved-up final EVER as survey tells all about why viewers keep tuning in

LOVE Island hosts its least loved-up final ever tonight – with no official couples up for the crown. Three of the four contenders are 'exclusively dating', but none has said, 'I love you' or officially become boyfriend and girlfriend. 6 6 6 It would seem, though, that this is exactly how viewers like it. Our exclusive poll of readers found that just five per cent of you watch the show 'for love' — and the rest tune in for the 'drama'. Some 51 per cent said they are drawn by explosive scenes, while 44 per cent said they want a mix. And TV ratings suggest the show is enjoying a revival, with viewing figures surging back towards 2022 levels, when winners Ekin-Su Culculoglu and Davide Sanclimenti set our screens alight with drama. An average 2.7million tune in to watch each Love Island episode, and the current series has reached 145million streams on ITVX. So what drama has seen viewers fall back in love with the ITV2 dating show this series? Explosive love triangles have kept fans on the edge of their seats, with gold trader and semi-pro footballer Harry Cooksley flip-flopping between two girls, Shakira Khan and Helena Ford. Another footie star to play the field is Harrison Solomon, stringing along Toni Laites and Lauren Wood. Meanwhile, personal trainer Dejon Williams continually pushed the boundaries with Meg Moore to flirt with other bombshells. The girls were at it too, though, as Toni dabbled with Cach Mercer and Harrison, while Yasmin Pettet caught the attention of a number of the lads before she found Jamie Rhodes in Casa Amor. And there was savage bullying among the girls, notably from Meg. Some of the toxic behaviour prompted Women's Aid to raise concerns over the men 'lying, manipulating and covering for each other', branding it misogyny. Many viewers complained about the show to Ofcom, including eight per cent of readers in our poll. Some 29 per cent said they wanted to log a concern but didn't. You exposed Harry as the villain of the series, with 32 per cent of the vote, followed by Meg on 22 and Harrison on 15 per cent. An uptick in the amount of sex screened by producers also boosted the drama, with 22 per cent of readers saying the raunchy scenes made the show more interesting. Tonight's finalists are Yasmin and Jamie; Toni and Cach; Angel Swift and Ty Isherwood, who are all 'exclusive'; and Harry and Shakira. Sun readers have hailed Yasmin and Jamie their winners with 28 per cent of the vote, followed by Toni and Cach on 18.9 per cent and Shakira and Harry a whisker behind with 18.7 per cent. 'Something real' Some 27 per cent think Yasmin and Jamie will last on the outside. Conor Phillips and Megan Clarke were axed during Friday's episode, then Meg and Dejon left last night. Our poll was done while all five couples were still in the villa. During their final dates of this series, Yasmin told Jamie: 'When I met you, the waters just seemed to calm', while Jamie confessed: 'I feel like this is something real.' 6 6 6 Toni told Cach she felt 'taken care of'. He gifted her a necklace and asked her to be exclusive. Ty gushed to Angel: 'My feelings are growing for you every day', while she admitted: 'I've got feelings for you. I like it.' And Harry gave Shakira a necklace and a turtle pendant, her favourite animal. Maya Jama hosts tonight's final live from the villa. Some 60 per cent backed her as host, but 16 per cent felt she had 'clocked out'. Love Island final tonight, 9pm, ITV2. BULLIES MUST STOP By FELICITY CROSS EVEN in the 1800s, Jane Austen knew the path to true love should never run smooth. Who wants a happy ever after just five minutes in? It's clear Love Island bosses agree and, when launching this summer's series at the TV villa, executive producer Mike Spencer-Hayter told me to expect more twists, turns and drama than ever before. The decision made for must-watch telly and long-dormant WhatsApp groups have come alive, with my fortysomething friends once more desperate for all my Love Island gossip. But there's also been some truly horrible behaviour, with some of the lads treating the girls appallingly. Can we make love without war? It's a balance PR-savvy ITV will need to find next year if the show is to survive.

Charlotte Crosby says huge star unfollowed her on social media due to 'embarrassment'

Geordie Shore's Charlotte Crosby spoke to Luke Hamnett about social media on his podcast recently, including saying that a Stranger Things cast member had once followed her Reality TV star Charlotte Crosby has said that an acclaimed actor followed her on social media for a while. She's teased that the high-profile celebrity may have ended up finding it "embarrassing" before deciding to unfollow her eventually. ‌ Charlotte, 35, best known for appearing on Geordie Shore, brought them up whilst playing a game on a podcast. It was during her appearance on the latest episode of the Live, Laugh, Luke podcast, hosted by content creator Luke Hamnett, 32, which was released earlier this week. ‌ She told Luke that she had once been followed by Millie Bobby Brown, 21, on social media, though said that was no longer the case. It comes after Top Gear host admitted he 'never got along' with Jeremy Clarkson as he made a bold statement. ‌ During a game of Never Have I Ever, Luke asked: "Never have I ever had a big celebrity slide into my DMs." Charlotte said "nah" before Luke raised his hand. He said: "I would say [I was] accidentally followed and then unfollowed." Asked who it was, he named actor Tom Hardy, 47. Luke said: "He followed me and then 10 seconds later he unfollowed me. How very humbling!" Charlotte said: "That happened to me, y'know." Luke questioned: "With Tom Hardy?" ‌ She replied: "No." After being asked who she was referring to, the Celebrity Big Brother winner said: "Bobby Brown." Podcast host Luke then asked his guest if she meant actor Millie Bobby Brown, to which Charlotte told him: "Yeah." Charlotte said that Millie, who rose to fame as a child star on Stranger Things, followed her on social media at one point. She told Luke that the actor isn't following her anymore though and speculated over a potential reason. ‌ She teased that Millie may have decided to unfollow her due to finding it "embarrassing" as an adult. Charlotte however also suggested that she may have been one of many people unfollowed by the Enola Holmes star at the time. Charlotte said: "She followed us for so long and then it's like she came of age and just thought 'this is embarrassing, I'm gonna unfollow'. Unless she was just going through a cull, cause y'know when you start culling people." ‌ Luke clarified in the episode following her comments: "So she unfollowed you?" Charlotte, who has more than 8 million followers on Instagram alone, confirmed: "Yeah." She then said: "That was quite a big one though, wasn't it?" "That's a big one," Luke said, before Charlotte added: "I know." Summarising their discussion about social media, content creator Luke concluded on the podcast: "Yeah, so Tom Hardy and Millie Bobby Brown. That's not bad that."

It comes after it was revealed that one couple will be ordered to leave the villa just hours before the big ITV final. ‌ "Every time love island shows meg & dejon getting busy under the sheets an angel loses its wings," one viewer quipped. Another echoed: "Seriously mug and mustard need to chill it in the bedroom. idk how the others do it. I understand its love island blah blah blah. but like you CAN feel uncomfortable when someone is doing the tango in the same room as you." "Six minutes into today's episode and Dejon has mentioned the fact he's on Love Island and Meg has said 'but we're boyfriend and girlfriend now.' Get them out. WHY ALWAYS WITH THE BLOODY SEX SCENES TOO," another viewer raged. ‌ Someone else quipped: "OMG!! That was literally like soft porn. Why do we need to see this. Nobody needs to see Meg doing the business." As we get ready for the semi-final of one of the most dramatic series of Love Island yet, two more islanders will be brutally dumped from the villa as they get voted off by their former friends and foes, who aren't holding back. One couple won't be making it to the final of the show, as ITV 's latest teaser revealed a dramatic scene showing all the former islanders returning to the iconic villa one last time to make a huge decision. ‌ ITV took to Instagram to share the short clip from Sunday evening's episode, along with the caption: "First look! Ex-Islanders return for a savage dumping, and they're not holding back." Maya Jama appears to have returned to Mallorca one last time as she gets ready for the final and is seen entering the villa to announce the latest twist. ‌ After a dramatic slow-motion walk into the villa, the presenter announces: "Hello, hello, hello. Are you alright my loves? How was the dates? Are you all loved up? Well I have some very important news. Can you come and join me on the lawn?" The remaining islanders are Yas and Jamie, Cach and Toni, Harry and Shakira, Ty and Angel and Meg and Dejon. Maya informs them: "Well today, one more couple will be dumped from the Love Island villa and that decision will be made by some very familiar faces." The returning islanders included Sophie Lee, who entered at the start of the series and was the first to be dumped on day two. Viewers will also see the return of Tommy, who was previously one of the favourites to win the show but was dumped by Shakira. ‌ The latest teaser sent fans into a frenzy with many of them predicting who will be the couple dumped. One viewer commented: 'Sorry, but after Thursday and Friday, it's gotta be Meg and Dejon. Their time is up', while another added: 'Harry & Shakira.. your time is up!' A third shared their thoughts and wrote: 'For all the years of watching Love Island, it's my first time feeling this nervous about the finals. I swear my anxiety level is through the roof'. Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
