Dermot hosts as the audience have one simple task - remain absolutely silent.
Each participant is mic'ed up while they're seated with highly-sensitive tech that can pick up even the faintest peep.
Throughout the show, a series of well-known comedians appear on stage, hoping to leave the audience in fits of laughter with their jokes - and the £250,000 jackpot prize at zero.

Six episodes of the new show were recorded, each 60-minutes in duration and kick off on Monday, May 5th.
Before the episodes were filmed, a pilot was recorded as a test run.
The run-through was plagued with technical issues, leaving bosses scrambling behind-the-scenes.
Each participant had to wear a rather uncomfortable headset microphone, which felt more like a metal hanger on your head.

It would then be decided how many decibels were recorded and what cash would dwindle as a result.
The sensitivity issues with the mics left the crew visibly frustrated, and some frowns in the audience as the segments had to be restarted.

During the first part of the night, a large chunk of the prize pot had been wiped out over apparent fails, which were disputed by crew and the audience.
Even Dermot O'Leary looked like his patience was wearing thin at times, though after almost three decades in telly, was ever the pro and continued with the pilot.
After what felt like a 24-hour marathon, the show eventually got on the road and things started to run smoothly, apart from the irritating metal contraption keeping my microphone in place.

The show is natural laugh-out-loud comedy and great fun, and Dermot's energy and warmth takes it to a new level.

Priest who married Patrick Kielty and Cat Deeley ‘surprised and saddened' by break-up
Fr Gary Donegan says he's thinking of the couple's sons The Catholic priest who married TV presenters Patrick Kielty and Cat Deeley in Italy 13 years ago has told of his sadness at their split. Last week it was announced the RTE Late Late Show host (54) and his 48-year-old wife, who presents This Morning on ITV, had ended their marriage. The couple, who are said to have been living separate lives for over a year, have two sons, Milo (9) and James (6). They hadn't been photographed together for more than a year. Dubbed PatCat, the celebrity couple first met while co-presenting BBC One's singing competition Fame Academy but didn't get together until 2011 when the Dundrum comedian flew out to Los Angeles where she was living to have lunch with her on her birthday. It has been reported demanding work schedules drove them apart. North Belfast priest, Father Gary Donegan, who officiated at their wedding ceremony in Rome in 2012, told Sunday Life: 'They were a lovely couple, very easy to deal with. They wanted a private wedding at the time and took it very seriously. 'They only moved from the States to Britain quite recently and they both have very demanding jobs which were very high profile. 'I was surprised like many others to hear the news (of them splitting) and saddened. It's sad when any marriage ends and I especially will be thinking of their two boys. 'I hope they find peace and do their best by the children, the people I know no doubt will do that. 'They live in the limelight and people need to just allow them to deal with that and I'm especially thinking of Patrick who only lost his mum earlier this year.' Patrick's dad Jack was murdered by the UDA in 1988 while his mum Mary died in March this year. At her funeral in March Cat Deeley was noticeable by her absence. It was said she remained in London to handle school drop-offs and pick-ups for their two sons, alongside her hosting duties on This Morning with Ben Shephard. Her now ex-husband was off-air yesterday in the wake of his marriage break-up. The Co Down man normally hosts a two-hour Radio 5 Live slot every Saturday morning on the BBC. Last week he was on duty and was his usual cheerful self but local presenter Holly Hamilton stepped in yesterday. She posted a snap of her smiling in the hot seat on her social media and said: 'Always a pleasure to sit in for Mr Kielty. Have a great Saturday.' Olivia, 34, shared a number of behind-the-scenes snaps on the set of the flagship ITV Show. Her cover shot showed the star posing in her dressing room in a white vest top, skimpy black trousers as her hair was pulled up. Another video was taken by her entourage as she was on the set of This Morning with her co-star Dermot O'Leary. She danced in an orange top and high-waisted navy trousers as the cameras and production teams moved around her. A third video showed the star getting a make-up top up as a stylist fluttered around fixing her hair whilst she looked through her cue cards. The former reality star also posed in her glasses as the face of an exclusive VIP event for Boots opticians. However, she also relaxed away from the cameras as she attended the Oasis concert at Wembley Stadium with her husband Bradley Dack. He looked absolutely delighted as he wrapped his arms around her in an intimate selfie from their private hospitality box. Not stopping there, she was busy in the voiceover booth recording segments for forthcoming editions of Olivia Attwood's Bad Boyfriends. This Morning fans deliver verdict on Olivia Attwood as she makes her debut as new co-host with Dermot O'Leary After that, the star met a group of fans on the set of a special Love Island fashion event for eBay Live. She was dressed in a silk white wrap top with beige wide leg trousers as she was joined by Casey O'Gorman and Sophie Piper. Olivia captioned the album: "I get around." The star previously faced backlash when she made her debut on the flagship ITV daytime magazine programme. Olivia Attwood's Career History From Monster grid girl and Love Island star to daytime telly panellist and respected documentary maker, Olivia Attwood has made a huge career pivot in recent years... Olivia first started as a Monster grid girl at motorsport events in 2012 when she was 19-years-old, and did it right up until she went into Love Island in 2017. After placing third in the reality show with then-boyfriend Chris Hughes, she starred in their own spin-off series, Chris & Olivia: Crackin' On, in 2018. Later that year, she appeared on Celebs Go Dating and then joined the cast of The Only Way Is Essex in 2019, where she had a number of fiery on-screen rows. In 2020, the reality TV veteran began starring in her own reality series on ITVBe titled Olivia Meets Her Match, which followed her wedding preparations with footballer Bradley Dack. In 2021, the tide started to turn. Olivia made appearances on household shows Lorraine, Tipping Point: Lucky Stars and Loose Women. Then, in 2022, ITV commissioned her for her first ever documentary series. She presented Olivia Attwood: Getting Filthy Rich, which explored women selling sexual content online. In June 2023, ITV commissioned Olivia Marries Her Match and made her a regular guest panellist on Loose Women. Her most recent docu-series, Olivia Attwood: The Price of Perfection, aired in January this year where she sensitively explored the cosmetic industry. Her reality background didn't go down well with some of the more traditionalist viewers, who vowed to switch off. Olivia clapped back at the trolls who shared their dismay with her appointment in the role, as she insisted "there's much more to me." Her colleague Josie Gibson, 40, who is a regular presenter on This Morning, later defended Olivia, saying she's 'brilliant' in the role. She told The Sun: "Oh my God she's brilliant. It's brilliant she gets to do this and I think she's really good. Yeah, really good. Those who know me understand the hard work I've put in to get where I am today. Olivia Attwood "Honestly, you get some backlash like that in this industry and I really don't know why people do it." The former Big Brother star added: "I'll never understand why people do it, you know. To me, I've always loved to see people do well and I genuinely love it. "I think Olivia is brilliant in the role." 10 Olivia Attwood was also the face for an exclusive VIP event for Boots Opticians Credit: 10 Olivia danced with her co-host Dermot O'Leary in a video captured by her entourage Credit: 10 She gave her 2.4million fans a sneak peak her working life Credit: 10 She's also been busy getting new episodes together for her reality show, Bad Boyfriends Credit: 10 The personality delighted meeting fans on the set of Ebay Live's Love Island event Credit: 10 Olivia still managed to get some personal time in with her husband Credit:

RTÉ bosses nervous that Late Late presenter's split with wife might endanger deal
RTÉ bosses are hopeful that 'homebird' Patrick Kielty will renew his Late Late Show contract when it expires next year. The news comes as the popular host and his wife Cat Deeley announced their separation this week, after 13 years of marriage. Kielty has become a viewers' favourite as well as highly popular figure in RTÉ since taking over from Ryan Tubridy two years ago. The Dundrum, Co. Down man will be back on our screens for a new Late Late season next month. The Late Late Show host Patrick Kielty. Pic: Andres Poveda He has not given any indication if he will extend his three-year contract when it expires next year. Dublin-to-Belfast train commuters can often spot Kielty on a Wednesday or Thursday evening going home to the house he bought 25 years ago in Dundrum. An RTÉ source told this week: 'Usually he's [in Dublin] three nights. He goes back up home – I think people were surprised by that initially but that's what suits him. 'He's a homebird.' He is still deeply rooted in his community and regularly drops into his local, the Dundrum Inn. Patrick Kielty and Cat Deeley. Pic: Stuart C. Wilson/Getty Images His two boys play GAA with the local team during the summer and were visitors to their granny Mary all year round, according to locals. Mary Kielty died in March of this year, but Deeley and the couple's children did not attend the funeral, raising eyebrows. The couple, their children and Deeley's parents spent last Christmas in his Dundrum house. Asked if it was hoped Kielty would renew his contract, a senior source in RTÉ told the broadcaster does not 'comment on individual contracts', but noted that staff are 'very much looking forward to him returning for The Late Late in September'. 'What happens in his personal life is his personal business,' the source added. RTÉ could not comment on whether or not it believed Kielty would be renewing his contract when it expires next year. A station source said: 'I'm sure people would be hoping he would stay on,' but they stressed: 'Who knows what his plans are? It's a good bit off.' Another RTÉ source described the presenter as 'a gent'. 'He's really easy company. He has a nice vibe about him. He's very relaxed. It's infectious in a good way. It sets a nice tone, I think.' Kielty's contract earns him €250,000 a year. The Late Late Show host Patrick Kielty. Pic: Andres Poveda This is dwarfed by the reported £600,000 (€688,645) per year Deeley is paid to host the hit ITV show, This Morning. Her current contract will keep her on the show's sofa until Spring 2026. But Deeley's side venture with her long-time friend Amanda Grossman, has been less lucrative and has recorded significant losses in the past two years. She co-owns a perfume company called Canyon International Limited, a vehicle for their brand E11even. The brand's website describes it as 'a luxury unisex fragrance oil that has a completely unique effect on the wearer and those around them'. The company was £62,605 (€71,844) in the red as of the end of March 2024, according to records. That was down on the previous year's deficit of £76,487 (€87,7656). Kielty's company Boxed Productions Limited, based in Co. Down, had healthy shareholder funds of £1,375,544 (€1,578,773) as of the end of March last year. He is the sole director of Boxed – listed as a 'performing arts' company – which is also the 100% shareholder of his Irish-registered company Pamanco Ireland Limited, of which Kielty is listed as co-director along with Co. Mayo businessman Pat Walsh. Pamanco, set up two days after Kielty was confirmed as Late Late host in May 2023, had net assets of €151,714 as of the end of July 2024, against a turnover of €286,656. Kielty and Deeley spent around €5.7m on their London home in 2023, and they have reportedly spent around the same figure renovating it. Their combined net worth has been variously estimated at between €13m and €26m. In a joint statement released earlier this week, the couple said they 'have taken the decision to end our marriage and are now separated'. 'There is no other party involved. 'We will continue to be united as loving parents to our children and would therefore kindly ask for our family privacy to be respected.'
