JoJo Siwa Reveals When She Realized She Had Feelings for Chris Hughes: ‘I Wasn't Looking to Fall for Him'
Speaking to Gyles Brandreth on an episode of his Rosebud podcast posted Thursday, Siwa began by saying that 'serendipity is Christopher and I's favorite word now,' because 'if you read the definition of it, it's essentially finding love when you're least looking for it.'

The Dance Moms alum went on to explain how her romance with the Love Island alum — the first few weeks of which played out in front of countless viewers as they both starred on the reality program's 24th season — is the model of serendipity. 'We just kind of bonded right away, and it started very much so as friends,' she explained, noting that the first things she noticed about her now-boyfriend was that he smelled good and was a 'good hugger.'
'I wasn't looking to fall for him, he wasn't looking to fall for me,' she continued. 'We're having so much fun together, we're having a laugh together. Whenever one of us was down, it was the other one that helped.'
Siwa and Hughes' relationship is arguably the most memorable part of this Big Brother season, even though the couple didn't get together until after it was over. While she was on the show, the 'Karma' singer was dating Kath Ebbs, but they parted ways at the TV show's wrap party.
On the podcast, Siwa appeared to touch on the breakup, telling Brandreth, 'I had all these realizations in my life, things that I wasn't happy [with], and things that I was being OK with that I should never have been OK with.
'I'm not happy, so I need to handle things, and I did very quickly once I got out of the house,' she added. 'Over a little bit of time, I realized that I started to feel something for Christopher that I never intended to, but I couldn't not feel. And I'm a very, very lucky girl because he was feeling the same thing.'
The interview comes just a few days after Hughes shared an intimate selfie of himself and Siwa cuddling in bed, after which the dancer told The Guardian newspaper, 'It's not platonic anymore, and it's been a beautiful development, a beautiful connection, and I'm absolutely head-over-heels for him and he's the same way.'
Siwa later gushed about her relationship in an interview with Billboard, also telling Tetris Kelly about what it's been like to navigate a public relationship while identifying as queer. 'It's really hard because people tear it apart,' she said. 'I've dated beautiful women, I've dated beautiful nonbinary people, I have dated men… but I realize that's just who I am. I realize for myself that I just like humans.'

AC/DC Invades The Billboard Charts With Multiple Comebacks
AC/DC returns to several Billboard charts as "Thunderstruck" and "You Shook Me All Night Long" ... More reappears on different rock rankings. Brian Johnson and Angus Young, both of the group AC/DC, film the 'Thunderstruck' music video, Brixton Academy, London, 8/17/1990. (Photo by) Some weeks are bigger than others for AC/DC on the Billboard charts, but the band never disappears completely. At times, attention is split across multiple albums, with interest divided between greatest hits collections and proper studio albums. In other instances, as is the case at the moment, American listeners are returning to the classic songs that turned the Australian outfit into global superstars decades ago. AC/DC regularly appears on rankings focused on both albums and songs, but this frame, multiple tunes return, and the group claims several hits in the largest music market on the planet. "Thunderstruck" Remains AC/DC's Sturdiest Hit "Thunderstruck" is, as is almost always the case, AC/DC's biggest hit in America right now. The track lives on a trio of U.S.-based Billboard rankings, as well as both of the company's global tallies. What has turned out to be AC/DC's most enduring smash reenters the Rock Digital Song Sales chart at No. 14 this week. Recently, "Thunderstruck" passed a decade as one of the top-selling rock tunes in the country, but despite that accomplishment, it has only ever climbed to No. 2 on the tally, coming tantalizingly close to the summit. 'Thunderstruck' Lives Close to No. 1 As "Thunderstruck" reenters the Rock Digital Song Sales tally, it also sits inside the upper reaches of both the Hard Rock Digital Song Sales and Hard Rock Streaming Songs rankings this frame. The cut slips from the throne on the sales roster, but only by one spot, while climbing one rung on the Hard Rock Streaming Songs chart to No. 3. "You Shook Me All Night Long" Returns "You Shook Me All Night Long" joins "Thunderstruck" as a comeback in America this frame. It narrowly manages to sneak back onto the Hard Rock Streaming Songs list, coming in at No. 24 on the 25-spot ranking of the most successful hard rock-only tracks in the country on platforms like Spotify. "Back in Black" Hits Half a Decade AC/DC sat in twenty-fourth place on the Hard Rock Streaming Songs chart just last frame, and the band occupies the same slot this time around, but with a different tune. Days ago, "Back in Black" landed in second-to-last place, but as that track celebrates half a decade — or exactly 260 frames — on the streaming-only roster, it advances to No. 22. "You Shook Me All Night Long" only needs a few more months to reach that milestone.

7 Love Islanders who have left the UK as Patsy relocates because she's 'too embarrassed' to work 9 to 5 job
Season 11 Love Island star Patsy Field has revealed that she's planning to move to Australia, as she feels "too embarrassed" to look for a regular 9 to 5 job in the UK a year after appearing on the ITV2 dating show. Speaking in an interview, she said: "I probably will be looking for a job soon, but I'm planning on moving to Australia." She added to The Sun: "A year post-show… I don't know if it comes with a little bit of embarrassment of looking for a normal 9 to 5 job." Patsy wouldn't be the first Islander to pack up her bags and relocate to another country after taking part in the show. Over the years, we've seen many contestants ditch the UK for opportunities overseas. Here's a list of all the Love Islanders who've made the move. Season 11 star Patsy is the latest Islander to join the trend of moving abroad. In a recent interview, she was asked if she considers herself an influencer, to which she responded: "I don't think I'm a very good influencer…I guess at the moment, yeah, you could say influencing — or just fun-employed, I think is the term, isn't it?" She then went on to say that she's planning on moving to Australia to find a job, explaining: "I feel like if I move to the other side of the world and maybe find one over there, I might feel a bit better about it.' Prior to being on Love Island, Andrew worked as an estate agent in Dubai. He returned to the UK after his time on the show and moved in with his girlfriend at the time, Tasha Ghouri. However, since their split he has now returned to Dubai, calling the move a "new start". Season four star Laura Anderson relocated to Dubai with her then-partner Dane Bowers. She's since moved back to the UK and now has a daughter with actor Gary Lucy. She regularly visits Dubai, and took her 16-month-old daughter Bonnie on a trip there earlier this year. Season four star Eyal Booker moved to LA in 2019 with his then-girlfriend Delilah Belle Hamlin. While he still considers London to be his home, he spends a lot of his time stateside and last year he moved into a luxury apartment there with his best friend Max and his girlfriend. Season five star Anton moved to Dubai after appearing on Love Island. He originally went on a brand trip but fell in love with the city, so he splashed out on a Bentley and an apartment. He later returned home to Scotland, calling the decision a "mistake". Speaking in a video, he explained: "After Covid, I got invited on an influencer trip to Dubai. As soon as I got there, I absolutely fell in love with the place - and I never came home. "I bought myself a Bentley, I bought myself an apartment on The Palm and I was absolutely living the dream. Unfortunately, it was all downhill from there." Anton went on to explain how he invested £100,000 in a "gym concept", with plans to open a "nightclub gym". Season seven bombshell Abigail Rawlings has moved to US since appearing on Love Island. She works as a tattoo artist in LA, and judging from her Instagram page, she's having a pretty good time settling in there. Season two star Rachel Fenton returned to nursing after the reality TV show and she's since moved to Dubai, where she's continued her nursing career. New episodes of Love Island air on weekdays and Sundays on ITV2 at 9pm.

‘Uniquely Canadian': Stampede begins with parade led by country star Shania Twain
CALGARY - The Old West will be on full display as thousands clad in tassels, boots and buckles march through city streets today to kick off the Calgary Stampede. Country superstar Shania Twain will saddle up and lead the parade on horseback before performing Saturday at the Scotiabank Saddledome. The Stampede runs until July 13. The 'Man! I Feel Like a Woman' singer, who was raised in Timmins, Ont., last took the stage at the Stampede in 2014. Twain, 59, is country music's top-selling female artist, according to Billboard. She is currently a judge on Citytv's 'Canada's Got Talent.' Her long string of hits includes 'That Don't Impress Me Much,' 'Any Man of Mine' and 'Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under?' 'I can't think of a better parade marshal,' said Joel Cowley, the Stampede's chief executive. 'We expect to see 300,000-plus lining the streets once again. What a great way to kick off the Calgary Stampede.' People have traditionally arrived hours before the parade begins to get good seats. Stampede Park has been busy for the past week as crews assemble midway rides and concession stands. Gregg Korek with North American Midway Entertainment will be making his 49th appearance at the Stampede. He likens it to getting ready for the prom. 'We're just putting on the corsage right now,' he said. Growing up in Calgary, Korek joined the midway group as a teen. 'I always say I like all of our fairs exactly the same, but I like this one a little bit better because I'm a Calgarian.' Cowley said Stampede attracted almost 1.5 million visitors last year. Of that number, he said about 73 per cent were from the Calgary area. Another nine per cent were from Alberta and 10 per cent were other Canadians. The rest came from the United States or other countries. With Canadians unhappy about tariffs from the U.S., Cowley said domestic visitors could be higher this year. 'It is an international event, and I would think this year we would see a lot of Canadians looking for a Canadian vacation to come here to the Calgary Stampede,' he said. The first Stampede was in 1912, and Cowley said the event stays true to its agricultural roots. 'It's really something that needs to be experienced. At the heart of what we do is agriculture and Western heritage,' he said. This report by The Canadian Press was first published July 4, 2025. Error! Sorry, there was an error processing your request.
