3 Seahawks UDFAs who can make the roster: offense
The Seattle Seahawks originally agreed to terms with 17 undrafted free agents following the 2025 NFL draft. Since then, general manager John Schneider actually waived two of them following unimpressive showings at rookie minicamp. Just five of the 17 UDFAs were on the offensive side of the ball. With a small sample size to consider, we've identified three who possess the best chance to compete for a roster spot.
Amari Kight, OT, Central Florida
Amari Kight is an interesting prospect. He originally committed to Alabama as a four-star recruit. After failing to earn consistent playing time, he entered the transfer portal and wound up at Central Florida. Kight impressed at the Hula Bowl, and has an opportunity to contend for a role as a reserve swing tackle.
Federico Maranges*, IOL, Florida Atlantic
Federico Maranges probably won't make the Seahawks' 53-man roster, but we're accepting a cop-out here. The Seahawks are bringing Maranges in as part of the league's International Player Pathway Program. That means he can join the practice squad without actually taking up a roster spot. Schneider will take advantage of that benefit to keep a developmental player around.
Marshall Lang, TE, Northwestern
Marshall Lang is undersized at 6-foot-4 and 246 pounds. The Seahawks will attempt to utilize him in a hybrid h-back role. There's a lot of competition for spots, for Lang will attempt to compete for a spot on Klint Kubiak's new-look offense.

Seahawks rumored to unveil white throwback jerseys for 2025
There is a particularly exciting rumor floating around the internet lately, and it involves the Seattle Seahawks. A rumor that, if true, would be tantamount to an answered prayer for many 12's out there. According to an interesting repot from the Seahawks are reportedly planning to unveil a white road version of their beloved throwback jersey. This season is the 50th anniversary for the Seattle Seahawks. It feels only fitting to truly throw it back to the beginnings of the franchise with a complete set of their original uniforms. While nothing is official (these are purely rumors), that has not stopped talented designers on the internet to mock up what these modern throwbacks might look like... and I must say, fingers crossed this ends up being the reality. Seattle's royal blue throwbacks, which made their return after 22 years, are inarguably one of the best uniforms in all of football. They are beloved by both the 12th Man and fans across the league. It is an undeniably classic and clean look for the Seahawks. It's no surprise there is a sizable portion of the Seattle faithful who would like to see the Seahawks return to this look, or something similar, as their full-time uniform set. If this ends up being a reality, then some questions about how Seattle will be compliant with the NFL's uniform policy comes into play. Currently, the league allows teams only four uniforms: a home uniform, an away uniform, and two alternates. The Seahawks have their royal blue throwbacks and their Action Green uniform as their two alternates. However, Seattle will be getting a fifth option this season as part of Nike's new "Rivalries" initiative. There are a few possibilities that exist. One could be that the white throwback will be the Seahawks' "rivalries" jersey. This seems unlikely, since Nike stated the uniforms will be revealed prior to the first scheduled rivalry game. While late July would technically be "before" I take it as Nike means to unveil them closer to the season. The second possibility, and more likely one in my estimation, is adding an away throwback could signal the end of the line for the Action Green alternates. Personally, I have always loved them, but if the Seahawks want to have a complete modern home/away uniform combo and a throwback home/away combo, then the AG's are the obvious pick for the short straw. Recent Vikings Starter, Former Defensive Player of the Year Linked to NFC Rival
Recent Vikings Starter, Former Defensive Player of the Year Linked to NFC Rival originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Minnesota Vikings are undeniably thin in the secondary after letting two of their three starting cornerbacks and a starting safety depart in free agency. Advertisement Minnesota spent big to secure Pro-Bowl cornerback Byron Murphy Jr. on a three-year extension, but decided not to pursue new contracts for Stephon Gilmore or Shaq Griffin. The Seattle Seahawks scooped up Griffin in free agency, while Gilmore remains a free agent with less than one month remaining before Minnesota opens training camp in mid-July. Gilmore, who will play next season at 35 years old, is a five-time Pro Bowler and former Defensive Player of the Year who started 15 games for the Vikings in 2024. He tallied nine pass breakups and an interception over that run. Former Minnesota Vikings cornerback Stephon Roberts-Imagn Images The fact that Minnesota's cornerback room is untested and Gilmore remains available at a market value of just $5.3 million on a new one-year deal, per Spotrac, creates the potential for a reunion between the two sides. Advertisement However, Aaron Schatz of ESPN suggested on Thursday that the New Orleans Saints, who play in the NFC South, should add Gilmore to their secondary before any other team beats them to it. "The Saints actually have salary cap room, which is a remarkable statement," Schatz wrote. "That gives them the ability to bring in a veteran to help fill a hole, and they could use one at outside cornerback." Schatz added that Gilmore remained a more than competent cover cornerback with the Vikings last season. "Gilmore maintained his high level in 2024 with Minnesota, ranking 30th in my coverage DVOA metric while being assigned to some of the league's toughest receivers," Schatz continued. Advertisement "He could challenge Isaac Yiadom for a starting job, while serving as an important mentor for Kool-Aid McKinstry and fourth-round rookie Quincy Riley." The Vikings have ostensibly replaced Gilmore with Isaiah Rodgers, though the latter has yet to prove himself as a true starting-caliber cornerback at the NFL level. He's played four seasons and appeared in 60 games, though started just 13 of them. The NFL suspended Rodgers, who will play next season at age 27, for the entirety of the 2023 campaign for violating the league's gambling policy. Seahawks DE Leonard Williams No. 99 on NFL Top 100 list
It is officially that time of year again! Each summer, the NFL unveils its Top 100 players list, highlighting the best of the best in the league from the previous season. Every team gets at least a handful of players, and the Seattle Seahawks are certainly no different. The list is revealed in segments, and in the first batch of players we see our first Seahawk: Defensive end Leonard Williams, coming in hot at No. 99 overall. This is Williams' third time appearing on the Top 100 list, having been previously ranked No. 84 in 2021 and No. 97 in 2022. Leonard "Big Cat" Williams was nothing short of a force of pure nature for the Seattle Seahawks in 2024. A game-changer in every sense of the word! In his first full season in the Pacific Northwest, Big cat started all 16 games he played and recorded 64 total tackles (16 of which were for a loss), defended three passes, snagged an interception for a 92-yard touchdown, and earned 11 sacks. Advertisement Williams' 11 sacks were 0.5 a sack a way from tying a career best, and were the most by any Seahawk defender since Frank Clark logged 13 during the 2018 campaign. If anything, No. 99 feels too low of a ranking for Seattle's No. 99, but his placement on the Top 100 list is more than warranted. It is great to see a Seahawk get some recognition, especially since players for this franchise are often overlooked by the media.
