According to Lt. Lewis Blanchard, Chief of Staff for the Richmond County Sheriff's Office, the shooting was between teenagers.
He tells NewsChannel 6 that the situation is under control and extra deputies will be patrolling the area throughout the rest of the evening.
Two people were takend to the hospital.
The Columbia County Sheriff's Office is assisting in the investigation.

State Trooper Is Said to Be a Suspect in 2 Fatal Shootings
A New Jersey state trooper who previously was a supervisor on the governor's protection detail is suspected of killing his former girlfriend and a man in Hunterdon County before killing himself, according to two people briefed on the investigation. The deaths were discovered around 12:20 p.m. on Saturday, when local police officers responded to a 911 call in the Pittstown section of Franklin Township made by someone who had found an unconscious woman with physical trauma. The officers found two people who had been fatally shot in what investigators believe was a targeted act, according to the Hunterdon County prosecutor's office, which released a statement on Sunday. Investigators identified the victims as Lauren Semanchik, 33, of Pittstown, and Tyler Webb, 29, of Forked River. The two victims were found in Ms. Semanchik's home. While the prosecutor's office did not name a suspect, he was identified by a person familiar with the investigation as Ricardo Santos, a state trooper and Ms. Semanchik's ex-boyfriend. A second person familiar with the investigation confirmed the name of the suspect. Officer Santos had served several years ago in the State Police's executive protection unit on Gov. Philip D. Murphy's detail. More recently, he was assigned to the agency's dignitary protection unit, which guards other important people in the state government, one of the people said. He was found dead in a vehicle in Johnson Park in Piscataway, N.J., on Saturday, according to one of the people familiar with the investigation. The local police in Piscataway referred questions to the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office, which was closed for the weekend. Deanna Semanchik, Ms. Semanchik's sister, said in an interview Sunday that the trooper had been harassing Ms. Semanchik in recent weeks. She said the two had dated for only a few months earlier this year, but that he would not leave her alone. 'She was the most empathetic person I have ever met,' Deanna Semanchik said. 'She just had such a big heart.' Lauren Semanchik, a veterinarian, owned the home where the shooting occurred, property records show. Mr. Webb was a volunteer firefighter, according to the Pinewald Pioneer Fire Company, which announced his death in a Facebook post Sunday. A spokeswoman for the New Jersey attorney general's office, which oversees the State Police, said that the office was devastated by the tragedies and extended sympathies to the victims' families and loved ones. A spokesman for Mr. Murphy said that the governor's office was shocked by the killings. Neighbors in Pittstown reported Sunday in a local Facebook group that there was a heavy police presence on Upper Kingtown Road, near where the bodies were found. QR codes are everywhere. Whether paying for parking, opening a menu or connecting to WiFi, pointing your camera at a code and opening a link is now the norm. But the FBI warns one type of QR code is high-risk and you must always avoid. QR code attacks are not new. We have malicious codes included in phishing PDF files to bypass security filters, printed and stuck to parking meters, even sent in the mail. The latest scam is just as simple. And it all starts with a delivery at your home. Criminals are sending 'unsolicited packages,' the bureau says, which contain a QR code 'that prompts the recipient to provide personal and financial information or unwittingly download malicious software that steals data from their phone.' if you receive an unexpected package with no sender details and a QR code, it's one of these attacks. To trick you into scanning the code, 'the criminals often ship the packages without sender information.' The FBI says this is similar to 'brushing scams,' where you're sent a product you didn't order, enabling a criminal to post an online review on your behalf. There are many reasons to 'beware of unsolicited packages containing merchandise you did not order,' but you'll be tempted to open the package given it will have your address. But 'do not scan QR codes from unknown origins,: the FBI says. And 'beware of packages that do not include sender information.' QR codes look benign but they're not. Zimperium's Nico Chiaraviglio warns that research shows that attackers are increasingly leveraging multiple mobile-specific channels—including SMS, email, QR codes, and voice phishing (vishing) — to exploit user behaviors and expand their attack surface.' Victims of Montana bar shooting identified as manhunt for military veteran suspect continues
Officials have identified the four victims who were shot and killed when an Army veteran allegedly opened fire at The Owl Bar in Anaconda, Montana, on Friday morning. At about 10:30 a.m. on Friday, 45-year-old Michael Brown allegedly entered The Owl Bar and opened fire, killing 59-year-old Daniel Edwin Baillie, 64-year-old Nancy Lauretta Kelley, 70-year-old David Allen Leach, and 74-year-old Tony Wayne Palm, all of whom were residents of Anaconda. Brown remains at large as search efforts continue in the Stumptown area, just west of Anaconda, where the suspect was last seen. Authorities released a photo of Brown on Saturday, showing him barefoot and shirtless, walking down a flight of steps. The photo showed Brown wearing black shorts and fleeing after the shooting Friday, according to the state Department of Criminal Investigation (DCI). It is unclear what led to the shooting. DCI Administrator Lee Johnson said in a statement Friday evening that officials had located the white F-150 pickup truck in which Brown allegedly fled. However, Brown was not located in or around the vehicle. After discovering the vehicle, authorities focused their search on the mountains near Stumptown Road. The search continued into Sunday and has involved air and ground resources. SWAT also cleared Brown's house Friday, though he remained at large. Law enforcement officials have not received reports of Brown harming any other people, though he is believed to be armed and dangerous. Residents in the area have been encouraged to stay inside their homes and remain on high alert. DCI has warned residents that if they see Brown not to approach him. Instead, residents are encouraged to call 911 immediately. He has been described as 5-foot-10 and about 170 pounds, with blue eyes and brown hair. Brown was an armor crewman in the Army from January 2001 to May 2005 and served in the National Guard from April 2006 to March 2008, Army Public Affairs confirmed to Fox News Digital. He deployed to Iraq from February 2004 to March 2005 and left the service with the rank of sergeant. He also served as an armor crewman in the Montana National Guard from April 2006 to March 2009, officials said.
