Feature Video: Dylan Atlantis ft. FRIDAY* - Thought You'd Know By Now

Western Sydney collaborators Dylan Atlantis and FRIDAY* pull up, sunflowers in hand, to remind us that feelings can get dangerous in this week's Feature Video 'Thought You'd Know By Now'. Directed by Have You Stopped Growing's Rejjie Fanning and Ariel Riley, the clip for 'Thought You'd Know By Now' depicts a collage of vignettes which centre figuratively around the premise and feeling of being at the end of a relationship. 'This song is an ode to reluctantly letting go' Dylan explains. 'The music video shows that through certain shots such as ice melting, it's the slow deterioration of something that used to be solid. My verse also dives into that feeling of reluctancy, and explains the willingness to protect oneself even though it's a painful healing process.' Melting ice, overwatered plants, squashed fruit and burnt down cigarettes. Directors Rejjie and Ariel explain 'Almost every shot is an allusion to a relationship deteriorating, but we used Australiana as the setting. Also it's pretty funny that we actually got 170 peaches for that scene in the car park. It was so hot that day they were actually cooking on the road!' FRIDAY* (a.k.a. Fabian Odame) adds that his verse on the track is only a few lines 'because I'm laying down the situation down as plainly as possible, with barely any metaphor or simile. I wanted to depict the blunt reality of listening to your head instead of your heart, for the sake of self preservation. I'm a big fan of contrast so I love how the lyrics sound paired with the bright, off the wall, semi surreal visuals of the music video.' If you didn't know by now… well, now you do.

Four jockeys involved in nasty fall at Ipswich

A horror race fall at Ipswich on Thursday had those watching holding their breath, but early reports from on track indicate the riders are OK. All jockeys involved were conscious while receiving treatment. The fall happened approaching the 100m in the TAB Maiden Plate when the leader, the $1.50 favourite Fast Fun, faultered and fell with Nikita Beriman in the saddle. Three horses following were unable to avoid the fallen horse. Two more coming to grief while the third horse parted company with the rider. Fast Fun had to be euthanised while Zouchase, Haz Styles and Shaque D'amour appeared to have avoided serious injury and were taken back to the tie up stalls for further veterinary assessment. Beriman and Mark Du Plessis were both taken to hospital for further assessment while Tiffani Brooker and Emily Lang were stood down from their remaining rides. From a betting perspective, placings stood as is, with Divine Source ($7) declared the winner with just three other finishers.

The Project co-host Georgie Tunny reveals her next move in TV

The Project co-host Georgie Tunny has announced her next TV gig less than a week since the program hosted its final episode. Tunny, 34, is officially joining Channel 10's new offering 10 News+, which has replaced The Project, from today. 'I've always been a fan of news delivered differently and am excited to be staying with the 10 family,' Tunny said. 'Can't wait to see where this new chapter leads!' The journalist, who began her career at the ABC, joined Ten after Carrie Bickmore took extended leave from The Project in early 2022. Addressing viewers alongside co-host Waleed Aly on Friday, Tunny broke down in tears as she said goodbye to the program and her colleagues. 'I can't actually look at you all, I'm so sorry, because you've just been an absolute dream to work with,' Tunny said. 'There can be a lot said about the media industry and it's cat fights and all of this, but this has been a family from the beginning and I know that you'll still be in my life.' 10News+ launched Monday night with anchors Denham Hitchcock and Amelia Brace, both former Seven employees, at the helm. It saw a softer debut with a reach of 769,000 and a total TV national average audience of 291,000. When announcing its fresh news offering, a Ten spokesman said the show would deliver 'comprehensive analysis, trusted reporting, and long-form investigative journalism.' Tunny joins the wider team including Angela Bishop, Ashleigh Raper, Bill Hogan, Brianna Parkins, Samantha Butler, Carrie-Anne Greenbank and Claudia Vrdoljak
