Russia: Ruble Dominates Over Half of Asian Imports
The Russian Central Bank announced a historic shift in international payment trends on Monday, revealing that ruble payments exceeded 50% of Russia's total import value from Asian countries for the first time in April.
According to Russia Today, the ruble's share in Asian import settlements surged by 15.6% annually to reach 51.9% – surpassing the previous record of 49.5% set in February.
Global Ruble Dominance (April 2025):
- Americas: 60.2% of payments
- Europe: 67.6%
- Africa: 68%
- Caribbean: 77.5%
This marks a strategic decoupling from Western currencies amid ongoing sanctions, with the ruble now accounting for over half of Russia's global trade payments.

Yemeni Customs Authority: Technology, electrical appliances included in economic boycott
Sana'a - SABA: The Yemeni Customs Authority confirmed that the ongoing economic boycott is not limited to food products, but also encompasses technology products and electrical appliances originating from American or Israeli companies. In a press statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), the Authority emphasized that the boycott is considered a form of resistance, as the profits of these companies are directly or indirectly used to fund the crimes of the Zionist entity, which has committed widespread atrocities in Palestine. The statement pointed out that revenues from these companies help strengthen an entity responsible for some of the most egregious violations in modern history, while boycotting them inflicts economic losses on American and Israeli firms—losses that in turn may influence the political stances of their governments. The Customs Authority stated it will take legal action against any electrical or technological devices from the U.S. or Israel that are discovered during inspections. The statement called on merchants, importers, and citizens to uphold their national and moral responsibility by refraining from importing or bringing in any products covered under the boycott.
