French Lawyers File Urgent Legal Motion to Block Military Shipment Headed to Israel
A group of French lawyers and legal professionals have filed an urgent motion with the Administrative Court of Montreuil to block the transfer of a military shipment passing through Charles de Gaulle Airport en route to Elbit Systems, an Israeli defense company. The shipment reportedly originates from the Swedish firm Saab Bofors Dynamics AB (Sopbor Stal Svenska AB).
According to a statement released Monday by the organization 'Jurists for Respect of International Law' on its official X (formerly Twitter) account—cited by Quds Press—Elbit Systems, which operates in direct coordination with the Israeli military, plays a central role in the ongoing war effort, particularly the assault on Gaza.
The organization warned that permitting the unchecked transfer of armored military vehicles to Elbit Systems could amount to facilitating the commission of international crimes, already condemned by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) and the International Criminal Court (ICC)—all from French soil.
The ICC had issued arrest warrants on November 21, 2024, for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, citing reasonable grounds to believe they committed war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
The legal action is grounded in international humanitarian law, particularly the Geneva Conventions, which prohibit the transfer of weapons or military equipment to parties likely to use them in the commission of war crimes.
This French legal initiative is further supported by the ICJ ruling in January 2024, which found a 'plausible risk of genocide' in Gaza and obligated signatory states to take steps to prevent participation or complicity in such violations.
Since October 7, 2023, and with U.S. and European support, the Israeli military has waged a campaign of genocide in Gaza, resulting in the deaths of 57,523 Palestinian civilians, the majority of whom are children and women, and injuries to 136,617 others, according to preliminary data. Thousands remain buried under rubble or stranded in inaccessible areas, as rescue teams face severe obstacles in reaching them.

Electricity Ministry condemns Israeli enemy's targeting of Ras Katnib power station in Hodeida
Sana'a - Saba: The Ministry of Electricity, Energy, and Water, along with its affiliated institutions, renewed its condemnation of the ongoing Israeli aggression's targeting of civilian facilities and properties, the latest being the attack on the central power station in Ras Katnib, Hodeida province. In a statement obtained by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the Ministry of Electricity and Water held the Zionist enemy fully responsible for deliberately targeting power stations, exacerbating the suffering of citizens in Hodeida, particularly amid rising summer temperatures. The Ministry deemed the targeting of civilian properties a blatant violation of international law and its principles, which criminalize attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure, particularly those outlined in the United Nations Charter, international humanitarian law, and human rights conventions. It expressed dismay at the silence of the international community, global human rights organizations, and humanitarian groups regarding the Zionist enemy's continued attacks on civilian and service-related facilities essential to daily life. The statement called on the United Nations and the Security Council to condemn Israel's repeated aggression against civilians and civilian infrastructure in Yemen. The statement affirmed that the Israeli aggression will only strengthen the Yemeni people's resilience, steadfastness, and determination to support the Palestinian people, their just cause, and their valiant resistance against the usurping Zionist enemy entity. Israeli Airstrikes Severely Damage Yemeni Ports and Commercial Vessels , Ambrey Says
Israeli airstrikes targeting Houthi-controlled infrastructure in Yemen have caused significant damage to key Red Sea ports and at least two commercial vessels, according to maritime security sources and satellite imagery. The Israeli military confirmed it launched coordinated strikes on the ports of Hodeidah, Ras Isa, and Salif, as well as the Ras Qantib power station, in retaliation for recent missile and drone attacks launched by the Houthi movement against Israeli territory. British maritime security firm Ambrey reported that concrete docks at Hodeidah port sustained visible blast damage, and two Barbados-flagged bulk carriers docked at the time were likely affected by the explosions. No crew injuries have been reported so far. Local sources and satellite images also revealed: - Extensive fire damage to port infrastructure and storage areas. - Disruption of port operations, with vessels forced to suspend unloading. - Damage to cranes, warehouses, and customs facilities, with some estimates suggesting up to 70% of the port's operational capacity was affected. The port of Hodeidah is Yemen's primary maritime gateway, handling nearly 80% of the country's food and humanitarian imports. Aid agencies have warned that continued strikes on such infrastructure could worsen the humanitarian crisis in Yemen, where millions remain in urgent need of assistance. The Israeli military stated that the targeted ports were being used to transfer Iranian weapons and support Houthi operations against Israel and international shipping. Defense Minister Israel Katz warned that 'anyone who raises a hand against Israel will have it cut off,' vowing continued retaliation.

Four Injured, Missing After Attack on Commercial Vessel Off Yemen's Coast
Aen - Two crew members were injured and two others remain missing following a coordinated attack on the Liberian-flagged cargo ship Magic Seas off the coast of Al Hudaydah, Yemen, according to international maritime sources. Security reports indicate that the vessel was targeted in a complex assault involving armed speedboats, aerial drones, and unmanned explosive-laden boats, resulting in a fire and water ingress into the ship's hull. The crew managed to partially contain the fire before being forced to abandon the vessel due to escalating danger. Authorities confirmed that two sailors sustained varying degrees of injuries, while two others are currently unaccounted for, as international naval forces in the region continue search and rescue operations. This marks the second such attack within 48 hours in the Red Sea, signaling a sharp escalation after months of relative calm following an informal truce between the Houthi movement and the United States. The Houthi group has claimed responsibility for the attack, describing it as part of its 'response to Israeli aggression and Western support,' according to a statement by the group's military spokesperson. The Red Sea has witnessed a surge in maritime threats since late 2023, with dozens of commercial vessels targeted, prompting many global shipping companies to reroute away from traditional passages through the Suez Canal.
