Fire at Wellington waste facility considered under control
CBC3 days ago
A number of P.E.I. fire departments were called to a fire at a waste facility in Wellington on Saturday.
The fire was under control as of Saturday night, according to Summerside fire Chief Ron Enman.
Summerside arrived around 3:30 p.m. AT to offer assistance to the Wellington department.
"It had gotten into some long grass and stuff and was heading to the woods, and there was some large piles of trees and cut trees and brush," Enman said.
"I don't know where it was from, but there was some large piles there, but … all the crews worked together and got it under control."
