Edinburgh emergency services rush to scene of incident on major road

Edinburgh emergency services were on the scene of an incident on Wednesday evening.
It's understood a collision took place around 9pm on June 25 with a number of police and paramedics in attendance.
The incident happened on Calder Road at the Bankhead Roundabout. Pictures taken from the scene show an ambulance and several cops handling the crash.
One eyewitness claims it involved one silver and one black vehicle. The exact nature of those involved has not been confirmed
It's understood the area was not fully closed off to traffic
Police Scotland and Scottish Ambulance Service have been approached for comment.

Second man in court over Glasgow 'murder bid' after alleged hit and run
Kyle McMenamin appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court this afternoon. A second man has appeared in court over an alleged attempted murder in Glasgow. Police responded to a report of a disturbance in Ashgill Road, in the north of the city, on Monday, June 23. The incident involving three vehicles and a pedestrian unfolded in the street which runs through the city's Milton and Springburn areas, at around 6.55pm last week. The pedestrian, a 22-year-old man, was struck by a car and taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment. His condition remains unknown. Kyle McMenamin appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Thursday afternoon. The 26-year-old, of Glasgow, was charged with assault to danger of life and attempted murder. He made no plea, the case was committed for further examination and he was released on bail. He is expected to appear again within the next eight days. Police said they believed it was a "targeted incident" and enquiries are continuing. They added they do not believe there is any wider threat to the public but officers would remain in the area at the time, as they urged anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward. Urgent appeal for information after West Lothian woman goes missing

More info An urgent appeal has been issued by Police Scotland after a West Lothian woman was reported missing on Thursday. Kayleigh Fleming, 31, was last seen at around 1.50pm on Thursday afternoon (July 3) in the Almond Road area of Craigshill in Livingston. She is described as being 5ft 2in tall, with an average build and long fair hair which has pink running through it. When last seen Kayleigh was wearing a navy blue Nike tracksuit, dark coloured Converse shoes and was carrying a navy Superdry bag. It is believed that she could have been heading in the direction of Letham Park. Inspector Scott Currie said: 'I'm appealing to anyone who has seen Kayleigh or has any information on where she may be to come forward as soon as possible. 'Kayleigh, if you see this appeal, please contact us so we can make sure you're safe and well.' Anyone with information should call Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 1789 of 3 July.
